Vegetarians in Elko. What were we going to eat? Luciano's was excellent in every way. My wife and I were going to order the eggplant Parmesan which we had heard in town was excellent. Our waitress suggested that we order one entree and share as the portion was large. Great suggestion which would have saved us money. Unfortunately, they were out of the eggplant and she suggested the Linguini Verdi and Luciano's Aglio e Olio, both of which we shared, and both were outstanding. With some key lime pie for dessert we had the best meal on our entire trip. Our waitress was excellent, the bar tender was prompt and brought drinks herself. Highly recommended. Wasn't expecting much from an Italian restaurant in Elko but was pleasantly surprised. I had the salmon on a bed of pesto pasta. The salmon was perfectly and lightly cooked as I ordered, although pesto was a little bland but they gladly brought out parmesan cheese. Definitely would come back here. read more

We really had a terrific dinner and the price absolutely could not be beat. The only reason I gave it four stars is because the atmosphere could use some work. This is not a typical Italian restaurant where the room is a bit dark - to the contrary, the dining room is so bright it's almost shocking. Loved the steamed clam appetizer, the stuff shells, and Italian sausage lasagna. Prices are a great Value, including really good bottles of wine. Fabulous. Driving through to Idaho from California I wanted to find something good to eat. Yelp was a god send for this selection. The bread was soft and salad was fresh - and even better it was included in the meal. I had the artichoke ravioli and it was delicious. Stopped in for dinner while on a road trip. I split the stuffed chicken piccata with my mother and my father had the homemade sausage with the hunters sauce. Both meals came with a small salad of romaine lettuce with Caesar dressing. Everything was OUTSTANDING including the service. If you are in Elko I highly recommend eating here! Friendly wait staff. Very accommodating. Great family place. Caesar served complimentary with every meal was made with beautiful greens. Lobster Ravioli and lasagna were rich and delicious. Awesome experience...from the service to the drinks to the medium rare (and it was actually medium rare) filet!!!! This is big-city fine dining quality food at a fraction of the cost. No wait at 5:30pm. Excellent service! Good chianti wine special at half price. Salad with king salmon was nice, calamari appetizer was mostly batter. King salmon piccata was served over an excellent home made gluten free spaghetti noodle. Sauce was creamy, not the usual piccata style. Side salad was over dressed and just lettuce. Prices are moderate. Overall this was much better than our first visit last year. We'd definitely go again although we prefer Romanza at Montegp bay Casino in Wendover despite the higher prices. read more

Our meal was fabulous! My wife and I usually eat at the Star , across the street, when we visit Elko. Tonight we decided to try Luciano's and were Wowed by our meal. The atmosphere is definitely loud but family friendly. The menu is very extensive and the prices reasonable. We were treated very well and our service was exceptional. Most of all the food was outstanding. My wife had the lobster raviolis and I had the king salmon over lobster risotto. The Star is awesome but so is Luciano's. Well worth it!! read more

This Elko restaurant is awesome. We had lunch there on our way to Grand Targhee - and the food at Luciano's was just delicious - simple sandwiches a several niches above most restaurants. The waitress was charming. Then, on our way back to Reno, we had dinner there. Let me say, I thought the food compared with San Francisco. First of all, I ordered a lemon drop - good ones are SO hard to find - but this one was perfect. We arrived to this quaint restaurant just a few minutes behind our reservation time and we were greeted warmly by a fast moving and busy wait staff. Our wait was not long before we were sat by a very friendly and pleasant hostess, who told us that we were being sat at the most requested table in the house and would have a great view of the desert display. The timing of the service was perfect and the food was excellent! We started with the fresh tomato caprese, a bowl of the lobster bisque for her and the muscles for me. All were rich and wonderful! My girlfriend ordered the lobster risotto with the stuffed sole which was excellent cooked perfectly, rich and full of flavor. I ordered the salmon with pesto risotto, due to a severe shellfish allergy the chief made this plate special. We got 2 of the last 3 pieces of their to-die-for tiramisu. From the time we were sat until the moment we walked out the door, we were treated warmly by a kind, friendly and attentive staff, from the hostess to the waitress to the chief. The friendly and candid conversation during and after the meal, was so inviting that it made us feel like we were having supper at a friend's table, and warm ambiance of those around us and the dining area aided to the pleasant "home like" atmosphere. While we are new to town, this has been the best place that we have eaten and has become our favorite place here in town!!! Definitely recommend them to anyone and WE WILL BE BACK!! read more

Just to respond to the owners reply. I personally know what Sysco delivers in the Elko area, and you know what items you "claim" are fresh that are in fact frozen, like; meatballs, stuffed manicotti, crab cakes, lobster ravioli, and all of the fried items on the $10 sampler platter (just to name a few). In the owners defense, Sysco carries a wide variety of products, some of much higher quality than the others. However, this does not change the fact that frozen items are advertised as being fresh, and priced at fine dining rates. read more

If I could give my experience zero stars I would. I had a very unpleasant visit. I'd like to think I'm super understanding considering all business circumstances these days. It's extremely difficult to manage all aspects of business during challenging times. However customer service at this point is the only one thing a business can control. This restaurant chose to dismiss all customer service expectations. The owners lack of compassion and lack of positive intent was absolutely disappointing. I've managed a business for 11years. We've been open through all Covid restrictions. It's been more than difficult however I've always put my customers first, respected their opinions, kept my employees safe and always lead as a manager through compassion. The owner of this business does not. I will not find myself to support any business in Elko where a business owner would ask their customers "do you want to eat here tonight" a place I would ever spend my hard earn $. We live in a small community where true business owners should respect our customers. This business owner lacked education,respect, compassion, understanding, empathy and straight up disregard to his audience. Despite the situation at his restaurant he's voted school district 3 absolutely appalling. We need better community leaders in Elko. read more
