Danny the manager was super helpful and accommodating. The place was packed when we arrived at 6 p.m., so he set us up at a nice table in the bar area. Three of the family had different types of ravioli. All three dishes we undercooked - I mean nearly raw pasta. The white sauce had little flavor. My wife had spaghetti and meatballs. The spaghetti noodles were random diameters and cut with the rough texture of earthworms, but tasted ok. The red sauce had a good tang. However, the meatballs were burned and not edible. It was just "ok". Thats really all I can say. The salad was served in a hot bowl. We waited forever for our food. The waitress seemed like she was new or just really shy and very easily distracted. Drinks were way over priced....its not like we are really in Italy. The pasta could use some kind of bread to break it up but then I imagine they would charge $10 more for it. Nice clean place with great decor. Has the house made daily spring rolls - amazing and the ginger dip is also great. Has the Thursday special baby back ribs, also very good. Highly recommend. Both the food and the service were wonderful!! Definitely try the pizzetti shrimp. And as much as you wouldn't think to order fish in Elko, the ahi tuna piccata was delicious!! Staying here in Elko for three days just went to dinner here so so very disappointed food was OK waitress was not very friendly but at the end of the meal they double charged us for tax I went to the lady at the front desk and she says oh well that's Nevada for you and I told her I live in Nevada and we don't double tax on anything and she goes oh well that just made me so mad this is one of my first reviews I have made and I'll never go back again I rate this 1 read more

The 3 pasta dishes were overcooked , reheated in microwave. The sauce on two tasted spoiled. The lasagna was mediocre at best. We had been traveling all day and needed bed. But we left over half of each meal which could have clued up the waitress that we didn't like them. Terrible really. My granddaughter was with. So I didn't want to make a scene. Being in town for two weeks gave me the opportunity to check out many of the great restaurants Elko has to offer. I was most impressed here. They had the best meal and best service hands down. The lasagna and the spaghetti and meatballs were better than I've had in gourmet places back east. But the people really make this place. They care. I'm always impressed when the Owner stops by to check-in and chat. Ya know, more than the "is everything OK" line. Had a great conversation with him. Of the four times I ate here, the staff (namely bartender Danny) remembered me by name and what I liked to drink. You can't go wrong here. read more

I have dined at Luciano's for the past four years attending the Elko MineExpo. One of my biggest attractions was the ambience, but also the unique entrees that were just enough but not overfilling. Each summer I could enjoy a new menu. I ordered the fillet wrapped prosciutto which was good but the vegetables were not grilled. They were a lump of soggy and very tasteless vegetables. Even the red pepper had no taste. The pasta under the beef was a huge amount, way too much to eat. Their wine list was not as good either. I adore the crew, they all work terribly hard and are pleasant. I wish they had the good chef's they had in the past. I did note the Italian dishes looked very appetizing and maybe that's where their strength lies. read more

Great italian food, super service! This is our second trip to this wonderful restaurant. Driving through for our weekend camping trip and lunch was so yummy we ordered takeout for dinner! Lasagna was meaty and cheesy. Turkey bacon avocado panini sandwich and fries were hot and fresh made! Our takeout was a lobster ravioli dish and a fabulous smoked bacon carbonara! It was just as wonderful heated up a few hours later as the lunch was. The waitress was friendly and attentive and packed fresh bread and salad with the dressing in a side container for our to go meal. Very thoughtful, thank you! My guest and I arrived at 12:31 pm on July 26th according to my friends receipt . The greeting was so so, it took a female waitstaff a while to realize our presents. Sat us down, got our drinks, and we ordered. I ordered a sandwich that did not have any pesto and my friend ordered a sandwich with the specific request without pesto. She and I are not pesto lovers. We received our meal with the waitress discussing a not so food orientated conversation to another person. Not a good choice for conversation but that's okay. My friend order was brought back and delayed because of the pesto that she requested not to have. She was clearly upset. I am writing this review because of the inadequate restroom for women. I feel very very exposed when other women can walk down the hall, check to see if anyone is occupying the stall, and see me with my pants down. This does not make me feel welcome. My sandwich had too much balsamic vinegar. It wasn't very good because of that. I can not have company when my breath is fuming of vinegar. She did not come back to refill our drinks because my friend did not like the pesto. I was contacted by the owner and I told him that I would come back today with a clean slate because I have a large business group that is coming from out of town. I live in California and only get to Elko, Nevada every few years on a Road Trip. However, I have to REALLY recommend this restaurant if you are anywhere in the vicinity. Not only do the wait staff (Misty being coached by Brandi) and the Hostess, Sissy, take great care of you...but this is one of only 3 times that a chef (Luke who is truly an involved chef) has actually come to my table to check on how the meal has been. The food was excellent, the service is amazing and I would highly recommend Luciano's to anyone who visits this community. Also, I was impressed with their wine selections. We took my mom here for her birthday. Service was fine until I sent me steak back for being over cooked. Our waitress T, kindly took it back to the kitchen. Shortly after that she came back with the same steak and told me it was cooked to temperature. She told me its a new way the chef cooks. Ummm last time I checked, I knew how I like to eat a steak. Over cooked is not how I like it. I have been to many restaurants, I have sent food back a time or two. I have never been given food that was unsatisfactory back to me. I will never go back.
