This has been hit and miss for us. Burgers good. Spinach salad great. Ruben sandwich and fries cold.

The food and service is always very, very good! Just wish they served a really good queso with their taco salad!

Lucile's steak and spirits sits in the beautifully restored historic Continental hotel. (John Wick fans, nope...not that one) Actually beautiful is an understatement...more like stunning. Upon entering, you are greeted by quite possibly the friendliest, warm hearted staff you'll ever encounter. These gals know how to work a room! Oh, yeah...I guess food is also served here lol. This is a very 'American' menu, if there ever was one. Lunch features a good deal of regional options, many I've never actually ever heard of. Cheese curds, fried pickles, and what's Iowa corn nuggets? Turns out the Iowa corn nuggets is a deep fried corn fritter. Sweet on the inside, perfectly crispy on the outside. I also go for the Reuben which happens to be the item of choice for most visitors. Personally not a fan of Ruebens, but this is a nicely built sandwich with very high quality ingredients...down to the sourkrout and rye bread. Lucile's is a good pick for a high quality lunch in an even higher quality setting. Not at all knocking the meal, but the historical property is what will leave a lasting impression. read more

My ribeye steak was cooked to perfection. The loaded baked potato and house salad were okay. I also liked the carrot cake.

Lucille's has really good food a really good prices they also serve a wonderful chocolate martini which is very good and it's worth it they also have children eat free on Mondays which is perfect I really would refer anybody to go to this restaurant it is magnificent in the service is fantastic read more

Excelleent staff, great location, easy parking, a broad menu from steaks to burgers, salads and salmon. A well stocked bar. We ate there 4 nights in a row we liked it so much, from scratch cooking. We had Salmon, Shrimp, Sirloin, BarBQue special, salads and other items, all were fresh, tasty and hot foods hot. Some of the best wait staff we have had in years. The location is charming and the staff are friendly. Our waitress was excellent and very pleasant. This is definitely the place to go if you are in Centerville. The menu features stories from the Hotel's long history. We are vegetarians traveling through town, so our menu choices were limited to grilled cheese and variety of salads or wraps. I ordered a Mediterranean spinach salad and was surprised to get a mound of warm rice topped with hummus artfully surrounded by veggies, feta and olives. Actually everything was fresh and tasty, it was just a surprise. My husband said his grilled cheese was fine. The selection of beers on tap was good and I enjoyed my IPA. The dining area and bar are nicely appointed with an old world early American charm. The service was attentive. The floors squeak, as a real wood should. The mixed drinks are not weak. The beer selection is simple, but more than adequate. The dinner was very good. The steaks are over $25, but well made and with good flavor. The ribs were on special, but they had run out by 7:30pm. Apparently they run out about that time each Tuesday. I had the grilled pork chops. These were thick cut, and juicy. A real hidden gem on the menu with a price under $15. read more

My husband and I tried the cheeseburgers and fries. My was the jack daniels bbq burger it was delicious. My hubby had the black and blue burger he loved it too. We tried the appetizer platter it was ok but a little pricey for what you got. But definitely go for the burgers they were great. read more

Thank you, Yelp, for helping me discover this landmark. I have driven around the Centerville Square many times without realizing this wonderful dining experience was right under my nose. From the moment I walked in the door and enjoyed the architecture and historic integrity, the mood was set for a wonderful experience. It is so refreshing to find a business committed to restoration and preservation of a landmark instead of plowing it down and putting up something new. Our lunch was marvellous!!! I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the fresh Cream of Asparagus Soup served in the delicious bread bowl. I want to start out by saying the service was not that great. The drinks were alright. The food though was not good at all. I ordered the spinach and grain salad and was given a handful of spinach, a tablespoon of feta, 5 cherry tomatoes cut in half, a teaspoon of hummus, and 5 olives. They also forgot the grains! This was also not made like a salad at all, it looked like a sampler plate made by someone who hates their food touching. Everything had its own designated spot and did not touch each other which is super odd for a $11 salad of such a tiny proportion. My spouse got the ribeye which was under seasoned and half an inch thick which was shocking for the price. We genuinely wanted to love this place, but unfortunately it was a miss for us. read more

Went here for Mother's Day breakfast. Staff are pleasant ,wish I could say the same for the food. I ordered Biscuits and Gravy-was cold sent it back they return it and it was fine...until I found a piece of metal in it. They didn't charge me for the meal because neither one of us could finish our breakfast after that. May have been a hit or miss but turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences I had. read more

Worst service I've ever had in the States. We were staying in the hotel and came down to have breakfast. It took 15 minutes to get a menu and after asking twice another 20 minute to have someone take our order. It took so long that the table next to us left without ordering. Never have I has such terrible service. I would understand if by chance they didn't see us but we asked TWICE. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Food is very important but service us equally important and this place definitely needs some lessons. read more

While traveling through the area, we stopped at Lucile's for lunch. I had the Southwestern salad. When I got it, I had to wonder what was Southwestern about it. All it consisted of was iceberg lettuce, some shredded cheddar, a few tomatoes, some corn chips, and some small strips of chicken. The grilled chicken was tasteless, as was the entire dish. It was a very bland salad with no Southwestern taste at all. Very disappointing. read more

Beautiful, unique setting with history. The service was excellent. They really care about their customers. The food, however, was standard. I got the seaside sampler and it was pretty ok. Really dug this place. Out of town and Came in right after work. Everyone was really nice and the entire place was pretty cool. I ate at the bar (full menial and ordered a hot beef sandwich that was made with strip steak for under $10. Bomb. Service was great. Drinks were on point. Dirty construction worker here who just wondered in getting treated like everyone else in the joint. Excellent rural upscale place. I'll go back many more times. read more

Highly recommend! I had the "build your own burger" it was really good and came to the table piping hot. The place is gorgeous as well.

The food probably would have been really good if I got what I ordered. Too bad at least 10 minutes went by before my waitress came back to my table to check on me . Did not have the time to wait. Ate what I got and went about my day. Terrible service. Really cool looking place with a lot of potential though . Just needs better management . The waitress was complaining loud enough for me to hear about the $3 tip she got from the only other table in the room as me . She needs to be fired IMO. I've never said that about. Waitress before . Staff couldn't have been any nicer. The food was adequate to put it mildly and the waiter needs some training although a very nice young man. Our salad was brought out after our steaks and the rib eye steaks were way way over cooked. Asked for medium and came out past well. If they tweak the service and teach their servers more appropriately this would have been a great stop in a small town. read more

Was very good found this gem online traveling from Charlotte NC for work. Staff was great. Had a steak was perfect. Early for veggies though but the salad was good. Great selection of beer on tap. Staying here at the hotel so it's nice to just walk downstairs and get a meal and a drink. If you are in Centerville stop by and have a meal. read more

Stayed at the continental hotel attached to the restaurant.. Decided to eat local instead of driving out to a steakhouse like I normally do. And glad I did. Very pleasantly suprised. Staff was all extremely friendly and food was really good. Small and quaint.. But really enjoyed my meal and experience there. I would eat here again if ever I come back to this area.
