This bar has more chill vibes for Rainey. I loved how it is all decked out for Halloween now, and they rotate festive decorations. The music was overwhelmingly loud outside even during the day though, so it was hard to keep a conversation. Their cocktails are $15, which is an expected price. I like how tax is included in their menu prices. I got the sangria, while my friends got the jefe loco margarita and chili cucumber-tini. I liked my sangria and the juicy orange on the rim.

This was the best holiday drink for me

This is a late review since I'm going to mentioned the Christmas season but I'm going to anyway because: 1) I'm super behind on my reviews and always playing catch up; 2) the holiday drink menu was good and 3) the holiday decor made the experience better. There were four of us and it was pretty early in the evening so we got in and the bar was pretty empty but still lively. We got to the bar and was handed a menu with a lot of specialty holiday themed cocktails which I didn't like and I was prepared to eye roll my entire time until-wait, what's this? A shot whiskey and Lone Star? Done The staff were pretty great and even though my drink choice was a little more straightforward the other choices were made well. The back patio area was pretty open and even with a DJ set up there the volume was at the right level where it was fun but you didn't have to shout, well not too much.

We stopped into Lucille while checking out Rainey. Most of the indoor tables were taken so we hung out on the back patio for a bit. The outdoor fans were nice as it was pretty hot while we were there. The music was blasting kind of loud and we were the only people out on the patio, but I'm sure this place gets busy later at night. It was just a little over the top for what we were looking for - it was nice to explore Rainey during the day when it wasn't too wild! I had one of the specialty cocktails, the El Jefe Loco margarita, which is a jalapeno margarita. It was tasty and nicely balanced, and something I'd order again. Nate got a beer that he liked. They had lots of board games to play inside and plenty of outdoor seating.

I've made 3 trips in 2 weeks. Love the decor and the outdoor patio is large and amazing. Perfect to just sit and relax, or party it up. Plenty of seating options and photo-op areas. The bathrooms were clean Service on each visit was terrific too. Friendly staff and good drinks, prices are good also.

A bit pricey but a great open area to hangout for the evening. In the middle of Rainey Street is Lucille. It's pretty wide open here for large groups. Drinks are a bit steep and oddly priced. We got a Special Tea for $13.85 and a Kona Big Wave for $6.48. Not sure who decided those prices but with a card obviously it doesn't matter. We weren't here very long because there were a lot of people by the time we made it here and it was hard to navigate. Ciara looked busy behind the bar though, so my wife and I only got a moment to chat!

I visited Lucille's on a Friday night as part of a friend's event and loved that the bar was decorated for the holidays! Right away, we decided to go to the bar to get ourselves drinks as it was extremely crowded and we thought it would take awhile. Much to my surprise, the bartenders were working very quickly to take orders and get people their drinks... it took no time at all! Throughout the night, my group ordered/ tried a variety or drinks which was especially fun as they have a seasonal menu. I tried the "Apple Sauced" which is hot apple cider with rum and it was tasty but very strong tasting! After that, I went to the more basic drinks/ cocktails which weren't worth mentioning. One fun thing this bar does though is that they offer a drink/ shot combo which is a pretty good value if you happen to like the beer and liquor selected. The bartenders were super friendly, worked quickly and the atmosphere here was great - I would definitely go back!

Best bartenders on Rainey Street. Every time I'm in town I pop in for a beer and see my friends. Nancy and Jade are legends.

Love it here! DJ Jason's music slaps, indoor and outdoor seating and tons of fun games. Frozen prickly pear marg is also delightful!

Lucille has a cute Christmas theme going on! Fun place get meet up friends for a festive evening this month. I didn't drink while I was here, but I noticed people were enjoying some fun holiday-themed bevvys. Indoor and outdoor seating. Nice atmosphere. Cute!

The back patio was great spot. Music was loud but not annoyingly outside. 5pm on Sunday "Keep Austin Thiccc"

Best outside because the music wasn't too loud. Dancing inside and conversing outside. Drinks and staff were great!

We found Lucille while looking for a safe, outdoor spot on Rainey St on a Monday night! Their patio is quite expansive and has all the trimmings-- heaters, TVs/speakers, neon lights, and HAMMOCKS. I can imagine those are quite fun on a summer Saturday! Their cocktail options made it hard to choose where to start. My group tried the secret garden, sweet tea, rose-jito, and wasabi Bloody Mary. I am not a huge Bloody Mary gal, but my friends were totally sold! I personally was obsessed with the rose-jito! It was such an easy sipper, but the secret garden was great too! I would definitely recommend to a friend traveling to the area!

The bouncer called my jewelry fake and laughed as I was coming in the bar??? Great way to greet people at your business. Rude and overpriced. Have fun I guess!!!! Rainey street is dead anyway, you're better off going to East austin!! Circa 2018

We waited maybe 15 minutes at the walk-in line as others progressively started to pile on behind us. Then again, even people in the reservation line were waiting. This is definitely the kind of place that wants you to wait. The kind of place that wants to build a line outdoors to intrigue onlookers. We were treated nicely, but we definitely could have gotten in right away. By the time we walked in, the place was probably at 60% capacity. It was standing room only at the bar, but not overcrowded by any means. There is a dress code, but it's not entirely clear what it is. Some guy dressed to the 9s got turned away for not having sleeves whereas I got in with sneakers and a t-shirt. They ask for your cellphones upon entering and give you a key in exchange, but there doesn't seem to be any security to enforce it if you don't want to give them up. I have no problem with their policy, but I bet a lot of customers do. Interestingly, their little social experiment seemed to have a positive effect, where we ended up talking to strangers and vice versa. The Powder Room may be making America social again.

The bartender claimed I was drunk and cut me off anyway. I was at the bar talking to a girl while waiting to get a drink (the wait was long because the service is very slow, despite the bar not being very busy at all). She was clearly into me, and the bartender kept jumping in trying to talk to her too (instead of doing his job making drinks). He was doing all sorts of things to try and flirt with her and make her laugh: pulling out and showing her buckets of pre mixed cocktails, running and sliding under the bar, etc. She was engaging with both of us , and right in the middle of that, I get cut off out of nowhere. No explanation other than claiming I looked drunk, which I very clearly wasn't. It felt very clear what was going on--he wanted me out of the way. I left and asked the bouncer on my way out if I seemed drunk. This was literally two minutes later. He said no, not at all, and asked me why I would even ask that. I then told him exactly what happened and asked him to let the owner or whoever was in charge know about this extremely unprofessional conduct so they can discipline the bartender. His response was that the bartender has discretion to cut anyone off, and let me know the bartender is supposedly married so he couldn't have been flirting with any of the customers. Well, sounds like his logic is flawed--not only COULD he flirt with his customers, he WAS, and was therefore cheating. I hope his wife finds out. This is perfectly representative of Austin customer service lately and not normal in other places. I was in Tampa for an entire month earlier this year and this would've been unthinkable there. I'm not coming back.
