They restored my faith that a decent restaurant could exist in this culinary wasteland. Their takeout food, is not only delicious, but they also have excellent customer service. Wow! The food is fantastic! Our first time here and when we're back in Seaside, we know where we'll go for Chinese food. Green bean chicken with generous pieces of chicken, green beans cooked "just right" and a delicious sauce. I went there a month ago but still remember the good service and nice people. I liked the place, small but classy and they have a lot of different food that is well made and served. Worked in seaside for about a month on some properties and this was my to go place, it's clean, there's a TV with games playing. Girl at front with boyfriend always polite. The only time that they messed up was when the chef got the ticket for my order but didn't see it. It took them probably 15 minutes longer then usual, but what was more impressive was that the cook came outside, apologized because he did not see the note. Respect. Food came out hot and fresh. Good size portions. My friend got beef & broccoli which he loved. Broccoli was cooked but not mushy with a flavorful sauce. Being vegan I liked that they had quite a selection to choose from. I ordered the mix veggies which i was glad had very little onion and bell pepper. There are many very good Chinese restaurants, but this one is outstanding. It totally exceeded our expectations in every way. The potstickers were the best we have ever had and so were the fresh green beans and beef. My favorite was the shrimp with pecans. Everything was hot and Prepared to perfection. The restaurant is spotless and even the menu is beautifully displayed with lots of photos. Wayne was our server and he entertained us with engaging conversation. Took a chance on this place when I was in the mood for Chinese food. They have the most DISGUSTING orange chicken I've ever had. (Not an exaggeration). The chicken was rubbery and overcooked. The sauce was appallingly sweet and had some funky flavors I just can't place. I had to go buy a snack afterwards to get the DISGUSTING taste of that sauce out of my mouth. Very average. The place is a bit dingy, and while not 'dirty,' it didn't give any shiny, squeaky clean vibe as some have said. Service was fine but not extra friendly or a standout. Portions were slightly smaller than average for lunch. The 'fried rice' was white rice tossed in a hot pan for 30 sec with 4 peas in it. Terrible. Stopped in for take out on my way home. Ordered pot stickers, looked like the frozen kind from Trader Joe's but had no taste. Garlic chicken had only 1/2 fillet rest that filled the plastic container was peppers and squash. The pork fried rice had no fried pork. One mess up ok, when the whole order sucked stay away. Stopped here for lunch by myself after reading the recent reviews about the new owner and chef. Ordered Shrimp Egg Foo Young with a small bowl of steamed rice. Though it was prepared differently from my favorite place in the area, it was very good. Several large shrimp over crispy egg patties covered by a brown sauce with mushrooms came on a large platter. Took the remaining food home for another meal. Simple and tasty lunch, courteous and efficient server, and reasonable price are three main reasons to return another time. read more

My son and I went in there not knowing what to expect. They had just converted to a seafood boil/Chinese restaurant on August 1. We've eaten there having Chinese food in the past and it was superb! But we were totally blown away with the quality of the seafood boil, not to mention the quantity for the price that you're giving. We would recommend this restaurant to anybody and everybody! We were visiting the area on 7/24/20 and craved authentic Chinese food and decided to give Lucky Bamboo a try. The service was prompt, friendly, and, as revealed in the pics, our portion sizes were generous. The boy choy was delicious with a savory taste of garlicky flavors. The tofu and fried rice was prepared perfectly and tasted fresh. Although the tempura had great flavor and texture, the packaging was horrible. The FRIED food was placed in a brown paper bag that was soaked in oil & produced an oily mess. We asked for paper plates, and was told they were only for employees....but, he would make an exception. Why wouldn't a restaurant that serves entrees offer paper plates? Especially during a pandemic when eating at their establishment is not an option. Overall, a pleasant experience. read more

The restaurant looked clean and very friendly waitress. The husband and I stopped in here for a quick lunch after driving down from SF. We ordered the wonton soup, chicken with vegetables and beef with oyster sauce with a bowl of rice. We also had a pot of tea and an Arnold Palmer. The wonton soup was on point. Broth was delicious and wonton tasted like pork, kind of bland but still good. The chicken with vegetables were pretty bland, tasted like it was just boiled in water. The beef in oyster sauce tasted okay, thanks to the oyster sauce. The tea didn't taste like tea, tasted like the tea bag/tea leaves was used more than I've for no flavor to come out. We had leftovers of the chicken and beef dishes. The Arnold Palmer, tea pot, two dishes and a bowl of rice totaled over $50. Maybe I'm a Chinese food snob coming from SF but that is one expensive Chinese meal! But then again, this is one of the rare few Chinese restaurants around so it did helped me to get my Chinese cuisine fix. Maybe we went on an off day. Along with everyone else here, I'll first note that the owner/ chef is so kind and accommodating. He will come out and say hello and shake your hand. The food is also excellent, he definitely has his own flavor profile on everything and nothing tastes run-of-the-mill. Plus everything is very fresh, not only in the way things are prepared but also in the ingredients. The produce is never overcooked and the dishes are full of life. We had sweet and sour chicken, broccoli beef, general chicken, chow mein and veggie fried rice. I also tried the BBQ pork buns which I can't get very often and they were delicious!
