Utterly surprised! We were looking for a Chinese restaurant for dinner on Xmas day and came across this restaurant. The decor is dated but the food was excellent. They don't use any MSG which I think made the food more delicious. We ordered Kung Pao Chicken, Szechuan Beef and Vegetable Rice. Al three dishes were loaded with veggies, which I loved. We have eaten here several times since it opened. Love the fresh cooking with local produce. But the last time it was not clean. Everything I touched was sticky. Pros The service was great. I was seated right away and my drinks were brought over. The chef even came out to ask about the food. The chef is amazing. The table next to me had a problem and he took it off the bill and brought them dessert. The food was a 6.5 out of 10. The shrimp and beef are fresh. The chicken not so much. The vegetables are fresh. I do not know what the purple thing was but it is not fresh. It's frozen and too big, leave this off the plates. The quantity of food was a lot. If your going to make money you need your customers to not ask for to go boxes. Your menu needs to be smaller to have fresher food. This the food would be warmer when it comes out and fresher. I also highly recommend plating your items with rice and not charging extra for rice. Cons Please deep clean this place. You need to wipe down the walls of the dining which makes me imagine what the cooking area looks like. Please replace the window that is dead center of the seating. It looks like a bullet hole and I don't want to sit next to a window asking myself if it's going to happen again. read more

We love Lucky Bamboo! This has been our go to Chinese spot for the last year. The food is consistently good and the service is great! I'm a vegetarian and the chef is totally willing to work with my dietary restrictions (but I usually just end up ordering a different tofu dish from their menu every time and they are all good!). During COVID we have been trying to support local restaurants about once a week with some pretty disappointing results-- but we always have a great take out meal from this place! read more

After getting water ask a bit about how the meat is cooked and given specific answers by hostess and owner "Way" (says he is the new owner for 5 months. Very friendly and kind). Service was quick and friendly. Food was good and plentiful. Iced tea was nice - jasmine flavor was an unexpected and refreshing touch. The chef came out personally to check on me and ask how I liked the food. Nice! Disappointed, food was not fresh or authentic, more like generic. If I wanted generic, I would go to Panda Express, I rather eat at Panda Express and I'm not even a fan of Panda Express. Had an order to go of three meals and unfortunately all the food was a miss. The teriyaki chicken had zero flavor and didn't taste like teriyaki. It just had a watered down sauce on it that didn't add anything. I had ordered Mongolian beef/chicken/shrimp, and it had tons of onions in it... Over half. It felt more like stir fry than anything else because the onions were thick pieces and there was just way too many of them. Another person had Kung pao chicken, and said her sauce was too watery and the chicken was cut off-- chunky pieces. We also had an issue because we ordered three meals and were told we couldn't get another order of rice and the appetizer of the 3rd meal because we couldn't substitute.... But we were ordering 3 different meals. It just felt a bit of a communication issue maybe? Because we paid $16 something each for three sets of meals but didn't get all the food that was included. Overall, the bottom line : the food we did eat, didn't feel like Chinese food... The food was cooked enough and no one got sick, but everyone was just disappointed with the food. read more

Food here is absolutely terrible! I would never, ever go back to try anything else. Once was enough. Ordered the chicken with asparagus, thinking that since the vegetable is in season, it would be fresh. Wrong! I should have asked. They didn't use fresh asparagus at all--instead, it seems they used the toughest, oldest parts of the stalk that had been set aside in the freezer for making soup stock. That's the only reason I can think of as to why such stringy, inedible, unchewable, disgusting and tasteless pieces of green were in the dish. It may not even have been asparagus, because it didn't look like what that veggie normally looks like. Everything was covered in a viscous, gloppy dark sauce which was much too salty and had no flavor otherwise. Ordered the lunch special, which came with rice and egg roll. I asked for brown rice, which tasted "off" like it was stale or old. The egg roll was soggy and pale, not crisp at all, and it was not cooked all the way through. A side order of "crab wontons" turned out to be their version of crab Rangoon, but it was a triangle of wonton wrapper stuffed with cream cheese. Not a bit or flavor of crab in sight! Also not crisp at all and definitely under-fried. Chinese stir fries are supposed to be fresh, bright and exciting, and the wontons and egg rolls should be crackling crisp. Cannot apply those descriptions to anything in Lucky Bamboo. read more

Found this restaurant while driving back to our hotel. Family friendly and were seated with no wait. Restrooms were clean as well as the dining room. Ordered green veggies with garlic, chow mein with bean sprouts (instead of noodles), fried rice and shrimp with veggies. All was good. Owner came to every table and introduced himself. Offered suggestions and even discussed how each order was cooked. It's a fairly new restaurant (1+yr), and hope he stays around for our return visit. One dish I ordered Pok Chow Mein. I threw it in the garbage. It smelt like it had sat out for 2days. It's not about the price increase But the freshness & taste! I don't know what the other guys problem with the Orange Chicken is, but I'm a big Orange Chicken fan, and I like it quite a bit. All breast meat chicken (unlike most places) good glaze, and if you want extra glaze just ask for it! Mix it with some white rice and it's great. Sesame, Teriyaki, and Ginger chicken all have either Broccoli or Zuchinni which I don't care for....the Chef says any way you want it, no problem! read more

I had a bad day and I wanted some good food. Went here because it was close to home. I ordered a Bamboo Chow Fun and a small rice to go. The girl at the cashier was about to tell me how much my order was when she stopped mid number. She wrote on her hand a different total and I realized that I was probably getting scammed. I didn't care I was having a somber day so I just paid. I guess the chef knew about the cashier and came out specifically to check the order. He said I was overcharged and put money back on my card.
