Came here about 10pm, and they only allowed to go orders because they close at 10:45pm. The wait for our food wasn't long, maybe 10 mins from the time we ordered. We ordered a basic cheeseburger, pastrami burger and a small chili cheese fries. The fries were slight soggy by the time we arrived at our hotel, about 10 mins away. The chili was good and the burgers are good and messy. It's definitely a good place to go for a neighborhood burger joint. Their burgers are filling especially the pastrami burger, tons of pastrami.

Got the breakfast burrito and added a pancake to it (secret menu item) This thing was delicious. They give you so much food when you order you will definitely get two meals out of it. Classic breakfast diner vibes 63+ years of perfection wrapped in one epic breakfast burrito.

This is my go to spot for a good breakfast burrito or any burrito for that matter. They also have phenomenal burgers. I don't think I have ordered anything that I didn't like.

So, the history is what brought me to Lucky Boy. The prices are why I won't be back. I was blown away that a pastrami cheeseburger, fries, and onion rings was an eye watering $24.09. Like...pardon me? This was a first visit and it will be my last. Kind of explains why the place was a ghost town inside. How disappointing.

Lucky Boy is a Pasadena classic! The burritos are huge and super satisfying -- definitely get the special breakfast burrito, it's the best one . The service is always quick and friendly, and the staff are great. I haven't tried anything else yet, but the burgers always look amazing. Some people call these LA's best breakfast burritos -- I'm not sure if I'd go that far, but they're definitely very good. The walnut location has that classic diner vibe, with plenty of parking, which is a huge plus. A true Pasadena staple that's absolutely worth checking out!

An essential Pasadena spot. The price and quantity of quality food can't be beat! It's a very casual dine-in or take-out spot within walking distance of Old Town. While the fried zucchini seemed initially pricey, the serving size was plentiful for 2 (and made for great leftovers in the air fryer!!). Definitely going to get my burger cravings taken care of here!

I love coming to this location it's very retro. You order from outside. They're very fast with the preparation of your order and I feel like the cooks and workers have a great relationship. You always hear them talking and laughing in the back it just feels so warm and comforting to walk into like they're family.

This place is great! Really good consistent food and quick service. Typical old school burger joint feel.

After visiting the Huntington Library in the grueling heat and hordes of people, looked for somewhere closeby to eat on co-pilot, and was suggested this place with a patio which was one of my requirements. Arrived and parked on the street on a Sunday which is free, and could not find the place it's kind of tucked away. After walking up a block found the charming little passage way with some patio seating. It seems like it's a family-owned and operated restaurant as always a great indicator of things to come is the complimentary chips and salsa. They were perfectly thin crispy non-salty and warm, paired with a nice salsa that seems house made but was a little too tomato/ketchupy but by no means bad. I had crispy taco with shredded beef and chili relleno combo. It was pretty good. ($21 )I enjoyed the rice and beans and it was a filling portion. Wife and mother-in-law split a carne asada plate the meat was flavorful and tender ($30) came with the cheese enchilada was also very enjoyable. They have a really large patio so it's hard to fill but people kept coming in and out so the locals know something. It won't blow you away but it is a very solid Mexican spot and I'm glad we stopped by. Dos Equis bottles were really cold, gracias para mi bungholio.

The portions are huge and I would recommend sharing if you're not so much of a heavy eater. We got the Milanesa de pollo which was bomb paired with the pesto pasta! Service was great, the servers knew their menu and ingredients so well. My friends ordered the ceviche which was delicious and one of their most popular! Our other friend ordered the lomo saltado which was great but just a little salty in my opinion. However, overall we loved it and would definitely be a place to recommend other friends to go to.

The service was great, but unfortunately the food didn't really do it for me. The presentation looked nice, but both dishes felt underseasoned and lacked flavor. I liked the onions and tomatoes in the lomo saltado, but overall everything tasted pretty bland. They had a green sauce on the side, which helped a bit, though I found myself adding it to almost every bite just to bring more flavor to the meal. The fries in the lomo saltado were also disappointing, and the prices felt high for what was served, especially considering the location. Overall, the staff was friendly and the service was efficient, but the food didn't justify the cost. I probably wouldn't come back.
