Prices seemed a little high but the dishes were delicious, with portions being reasonable and the Pad Thai not being overwhelmingly sweet. The fried chicken was magically crunchy outside and moist inside, with an irresistible dipping sauce not too cilantro-y. The Windham Local has a parking lot off to the side, but there was ample street parking too. And a shop proprietor later told us that The Windham Local is her place to eat in town!

They offered sweet morning pastries, there was a selection of cakes and desserts to bring back to our accommodations for later, and they offered a cooked breakfast and lunch (and brunch!) menu. The coffee was great, and we took some beans home. If you live locally, I read that they also offer free used coffee grinds to take home to your garden. My favorite part of the cafe, is that the donut flavors rotate, making things very interesting. I absolutely loved my little lemon poppyseed donut, but when the warm cinnamon sugar ones came right out of the oven, they absolutely stole the show.
