Cute little, quiet coffee spot in Simi Valley. Inside it's very dog and community friendly. I ordered a latte and the girl made it quick. I sat down to enjoy it and take a break and read some of the community stuff on the boards and scroll on my phone. About 15 minutes later, I hear her tell a customer that she has to shut the store down due to a sewage something or other so my visit was cut short and I had to leave. It's a nice little coffee shop to bring your dog to.
Omg I loved this place so freaking cute!!! And as a dog lover it was adorable, I will say it is pricey $15 for a breakfast burrito and I got an extra large coffee and paid like $25 for both, but the flavors did not disappoint It was a hearty burrito and I was full all day, the coffee was fantastic!!!!!!! They have some quirky named lattes which I love and has a relaxing chill ambiance to hang out with a friend or get some solo work done on your laptop Very kind polite staff w good vibes

The cold brew wasn't bitter, and the flavor of the cold foam was just right! This is exactly why I love coming to little local shops because the care that goes into each drink shows!
Food is mid Service is horrible Ambiance is clean and spacious. First time going to this place, had a bad experience with the employee who took my order. Greeted her and she did as well after, I ordered and açaí bowl and then an orange juice, but said there wasn't any oranges, that they had already ran out when I clearly turn around and see them there. I turned to the oranges and back at her and she had this little smirk on her face... I don't know but there could have been some type of explanation.. maybe like a preorder of many orange juices not sure or maybe was too lazy to make? But after she took longer to give my order, the orders were handed to 3 other customers before me which I feel was done purposely. I loved the atmosphere just not the service. Sometimes the people working for small businesses damage the main concept of business. Bad experience. Wish I could bring my dogs in next time.
~ A DOG LOVER'S PARADISE ~ I have to rant about Lucky Dog Coffee because it's truly amazing (Simi residents you are SO blessed - Lucky Dog, please come to Camarillo!). From the moment you walk in, instead of a doorbell, you hear a recording of a dog barking. As you further explore the coffee shop, you'll notice it's decked out with dog-themed decor, including a large wall of personal dog photos, painted dog art, plus an arcade machine. Although the place isn't large, there's plenty of seating both inside and outside. it's popular with locals, so it's busy, but surprisingly quiet inside and lively outside. I visited to get some work done and was happy to find outlets available. Just a heads-up: while the inside is quiet, there is a lot of foot traffic with people coming and going. I had an iced hazelnut latte "husky size 24 oz" with almond milk. It was a tasty drink, but nothing extraordinary. For food, I tried the breakfast burrito, which had a range of options like sizes (10 and 14 inches), meats (sausage or bacon), cheeses (cheddar, swiss, pepper jack), and sauces (mild, medium, hot). The breakfast burrito was absolutely delicious! It was packed with bell peppers, onions, and eggs, and the medium hot sauce had a great kick to it. The service was quick and friendly! Sabrina and Alyssa were incredibly sweet and cheerful baristas. One more thing I love about this place is its heart, as Lucky Dog has a partnership with a local disability organization that employs folks with special needs, offering them training and real-world work experience.
i've been meaning to grab some breakfast here with my dog, and it was great! pretty yummy food and one of the best coffees i've had in a while. i can't remember the specific kind i had, but it was some type of blueberry muffin cold brew. also had a pretty good mango smoothie and pup platter for my pup! staff was friendly and overall was a very cute coffee shop. Bea can't wait to visit again!
The BLTA was just so bad it's shocking because it's such a simple sandwich. Each individual ingredient on its own was poor quality and combined it's just a hot mess. The sourdough has a toast level of "the idea of toast" it was somehow doughy despite not being freshly made bread. The avocado for which I paid an extra $2 was brown and black and tasted rancid. The tomatoes were bad, not even quite red and even the lettuce was off. The "bacon" is literally bacon bits. It was completely inedible. They did give me a rewards credit when I called in about it but the food has been consistently bad over multiple occasions. I honestly don't know why I keep ordering food here, I'm done at this point. 3 stars only because the drinks are still good. They also told me over the phone that all the ingredients "are fresh", well look at the pic and you decide.
Came here after a recommendation from a fellow Yelper...I have to say, I'm not sure how I lived in Simi for more than 8 months without ever having been here! Parking is easy. The lot is small, but there are always spots available. The cafe's biggest draw is that it is pet friendly, so I was excited to come here with my boyfriend and Pomeranian doggo. The menu is quite large. There's coffee, tea, smoothies, italian sodas, and alcoholic drinks as well as breakfast/lunch options and ice cream. During my last visit, I ordered the matcha flight, which included four different matcha flavor options (honey vanilla, chago, strawberry rose, and blueberry). The flights are really cute, I highly recommend ordering one when you come for a visit. Service staff is very friendly. When you bring your dog, they also offer a complimentary pup cup, which my dog devoured. Free wifi and outlets are available, which are always a nice plus. My boyfriend and I briefly talked to the owner, and learned that Lucky Dog Cafe supports special needs kids and those on the autism spectrum, which is incredible. Always love supporting businesses that give back to the local community! Overall, this is a great cafe to hang out, chat, do work, or spend quality time with your doggo.

I recently read about this coffee shop and I loved their mission. They help employ those with disabilities and they are dog friendly. So I wanted to go and try it for myself and support them. It's a cute little coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating. They have a dog wall with all these photographs of adorable furry friends. They also have a bunch of merch to buy and support such as hats, hoodies, and bracelets. They have a huge list of food and drinks. They came up with super cute names for the drinks revolving dog breeds. I ordered a few drinks since it was my first time so I could sample and see what my favorite was. I ordered the golden retriever which was kind of like a caramel macchiato. I loved it! I also ordered the kibble cold brew with dark chocolate and coco puffs. This one sounded so fun and I loved the idea of it. I liked pretty sweet drinks so it wasn't my favorite. They were so kind and I switched it for a Labrador. Those two drinks the golden retriever and the Labrador were so delicious. These might be my go to drinks. But I might have to try some new flavors as well as they all sound so tempting and fun! I brought a few of my friends today so we could all try this new place and support. We all really enjoyed it and the mission. While we were there a bunch of teenagers came in to help put the labels on the cups. It was so nice seeing them enjoy themselves while working and helping out the coffee shop. I will definitely be back and continue to support them as well as tell my friends about this place. read more

I love the concept of this local coffee shop! Dog friendly so there's a lot of dog pictures on the walls. Very cozy feel. I came for a cool treat on a hot day. The woman there recommended I try the protein açaí bowl ($11 for the smaller size) and it hit the spot. I would definitely recommend this spot. I look forward to coming back and trying new things - especially their big coffee menu! read more

EDIT: Based on the managers statement that they make their own salsa, I decided to try it again and it was GREAT! They must have run out and gotten jarred salsa to supplement. The 2nd time was 1000x better than the 1st time. Fresh & flavorful. This place is an absolute delight and I'm sad it took me this long to find it. Finally a place that isn't a corporate run chain. Came here for a fundraiser (BBBS) and been coming back ever since. . The food and drinks are SO friggin good! I was stuck for the longest time on the Mexican mocha with coconut milk (tasted like an almond joy, yum!) but recently started trying their other drinks (a toffee espresso drink, smores espresso, chocolate peanut butter espresso, and Chai tea). Maybe I've gotten lucky or they've trained their staff on how to make espresso, but I haven't yet gotten a bitter drink. And I'm VERY picky with my coffee. Recently my husband and I tried the cinnamon streusel muffin and that was the best muffin I've ever put in my mouth. It was moist, heavily spiced and sweet. We got it a second time and although it was good, it was next to the banana nut muffin and it tasted strongly of that which I wasn't a huge fan of. Staff has always been friendly, place has always been clean. We've tried several other things like the breakfast burrito and avocado toast which were both delicious. Not a huge fan of the salsa though as it tasted like not very good jarred salsa. Don't get me wrong, there's great jarred salsa out there, but they don't have it. read more

First time having a matcha flight and it might be my our favorite thing! All the flavors were super tasty, and good quality matcha. They had so many coffee drinks on the menu that looked good that it was so hard to pick just one but the barista recommended the S'Mores Cold Foam Cold Brew and it was fantastic! I love the menu, all the great choices, the healthy and plant based choices, the hundreds of drink choices and the fact that they have lots of things for dogs to eat! I was so excited to try this coffee shop out. I walked in and went to the counter, where the gentleman took my order. I asked for a Hazelnut Latte and a brownie. Unfortunately, the only interaction I had with the cashier was when he took my order. I was hoping for a friendlier exchange. Afterward, he began making my drink, and another gentleman came from the kitchen to hand me the brownie. The shop itself had a lot to look at on the walls and was fairly clean. I especially loved the wall with the dog pictures. It was a pretty good drink and a decent size brownie. I envision coming back with a group of friends. read more

Best coffee spot in the city with the best service and variety! Seriously this place is off the charts good. Every time I've been I have had the most incredible customer service and I don't think I've ever had the same drink twice because there is SO much to try. Also this is the one coffee spot I've been to that has incredible food also it can be modified to be vegetarian friendly which is a huge plus. Also this place is adorable and feels so rooted in this community. My kids attend their earth savers club meetings here and I've gone to events in the evening hosted by Big Brothers and Big Sisters. It's obvious that the owners know and love this community and it very much shows. read more

I'm here probably more than I should but also would come here everyday and be happier for it. The people are the friendliest plus this business is so community oriented and is always putting on charity/ social events. I definitely recommend their Xolo which is a mexican mocha and the avocado toast is loaded with delicious toppings and is a must try. You'll likely get to see dogs inside or out because they do welcome them and walls are full of pictures of local pets which is so heart warming. read more

I was looking for some coffee last week and thought, I wish there was a good coffee place on the east side of Simi but I guess I'll have to go to one of the mega-chains because there is nothing over this way. Well, there is a gourmet coffee house on this side of town! And it's Lucky Dog Cafe! It's right on Tapo Street. Lucky Dog has coffee and a lot more. Açaí bowls, a broad breakfast menu and fresh baked items. I wanted a muffin and they have those too. The muffins, brownies and cookies are not brought in from someplace else, they are baked right there. Dogs are welcome too. They have seating inside and outside. I've been back since then and the staff and the owner are very friendly and accommodating. This is really the kind of place that Simi needs: local, unique, welcoming and with delicious food and coffee. They opened right around the start of Covid and they survived so show them some love. Maybe even some puppy love. read more
