As a dog owner I love the interior of this place. They have a massive wall of pictures of dogs that have walked in with their owners. Staff were friendly and greeted us as soon as we walked in. Interior is very clean. Restroom is clean with a baby changing station. The cold brew I ordered tasted fresh and my wife's pistachio and salted caramel latte wasn't overly sweet. Stopped by and was really impressed with how clean and organized the inside is, plenty of seating, lots of room to breathe, and yes, the bathroom was spotless (major points for that). I ordered the Shiba Inu (matcha with vanilla & honey) and really enjoyed it, smooth, not too sweet, just right. My husband went with the Corgi (salted caramel) and liked it, but noted it wasn't salty at all, more of a straight caramel flavor, so just a heads-up if you're expecting that salt kick. We shared the breakfast sausage burrito and it was pretty tasty, especially with the salsa on the side, gave it a nice lift. What a fun little spot on our way up north. I love doing things with my dog and since we didn't have ours with us, we needed a pet fix along with our caffeine. We were greeted with a fun bark noise alerting them to our arrival. Dog pics littered the walls and the mascot smiled at us all around the room. They didn't charge extra for the oat milk in my pistachio and salted caramel latte. The only complaint I have is that The lids did leak all over my and my husband's shirts so we went inside to get a hot coffee cup instead. Next time we may try some food too! read more

Cute little, quiet coffee spot in Simi Valley. Inside it's very dog and community friendly. I ordered a latte and the girl made it quick. I sat down to enjoy it and take a break and read some of the community stuff on the boards and scroll on my phone. About 15 minutes later, I hear her tell a customer that she has to shut the store down due to a sewage something or other so my visit was cut short and I had to leave. I recently read about this coffee shop and I loved their mission. They help employ those with disabilities and they are dog friendly. So I wanted to go and try it for myself and support them. It's a cute little coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating. They have a dog wall with all these photographs of adorable furry friends. They also have a bunch of merch to buy and support such as hats, hoodies, and bracelets. They have a huge list of food and drinks. They came up with super cute names for the drinks revolving dog breeds. I ordered a few drinks since it was my first time so I could sample and see what my favorite was. I ordered the golden retriever which was kind of like a caramel macchiato. I loved it! I also ordered the kibble cold brew with dark chocolate and coco puffs. This one sounded so fun and I loved the idea of it. I liked pretty sweet drinks so it wasn't my favorite. They were so kind and I switched it for a Labrador. Those two drinks the golden retriever and the Labrador were so delicious. These might be my go to drinks. But I might have to try some new flavors as well as they all sound so tempting and fun! I brought a few of my friends today so we could all try this new place and support. We all really enjoyed it and the mission. While we were there a bunch of teenagers came in to help put the labels on the cups. It was so nice seeing them enjoy themselves while working and helping out the coffee shop. I love the concept of this local coffee shop! Dog friendly so there's a lot of dog pictures on the walls. Very cozy feel. I came for a cool treat on a hot day. The woman there recommended I try the protein açaí bowl ($11 for the smaller size) and it hit the spot. I would definitely recommend this spot. My favorite thing about Lucky Dog is that they employ young adults with special needs. I work with special needs, and one of my students worked there. ~ A DOG LOVER'S PARADISE ~ I have to rant about Lucky Dog Coffee because it's truly amazing (Simi residents you are SO blessed - Lucky Dog, please come to Camarillo!). From the moment you walk in, instead of a doorbell, you hear a recording of a dog barking. As you further explore the coffee shop, you'll notice it's decked out with dog-themed decor, including a large wall of personal dog photos, painted dog art, plus an arcade machine. Although the place isn't large, there's plenty of seating both inside and outside. it's popular with locals, so it's busy, but surprisingly quiet inside and lively outside. I visited to get some work done and was happy to find outlets available. Just a heads-up: while the inside is quiet, there is a lot of foot traffic with people coming and going. I had an iced hazelnut latte "husky size 24 oz" with almond milk. It was a tasty drink, but nothing extraordinary. For food, I tried the breakfast burrito, which had a range of options like sizes (10 and 14 inches), meats (sausage or bacon), cheeses (cheddar, swiss, pepper jack), and sauces (mild, medium, hot). The breakfast burrito was absolutely delicious! It was packed with bell peppers, onions, and eggs, and the medium hot sauce had a great kick to it. The service was quick and friendly! Sabrina and Alyssa were incredibly sweet and cheerful baristas. One more thing I love about this place is its heart, as Lucky Dog has a partnership with a local disability organization that employs folks with special needs, offering them training and real-world work experience. read more

The BLTA was just so bad it's shocking because it's such a simple sandwich. Each individual ingredient on its own was poor quality and combined it's just a hot mess. The sourdough has a toast level of "the idea of toast" it was somehow doughy despite not being freshly made bread. The avocado for which I paid an extra $2 was brown and black and tasted rancid. The tomatoes were bad, not even quite red and even the lettuce was off. The "bacon" is literally bacon bits. It was completely inedible. They did give me a rewards credit when I called in about it but the food has been consistently bad over multiple occasions. I honestly don't know why I keep ordering food here, I'm done at this point. 3 stars only because the drinks are still good. They also told me over the phone that all the ingredients "are fresh", well look at the pic and you decide. read more

Came here after a recommendation from a fellow Yelper...I have to say, I'm not sure how I lived in Simi for more than 8 months without ever having been here! Parking is easy. The lot is small, but there are always spots available. The cafe's biggest draw is that it is pet friendly, so I was excited to come here with my boyfriend and Pomeranian doggo. The menu is quite large. There's coffee, tea, smoothies, italian sodas, and alcoholic drinks as well as breakfast/lunch options and ice cream. During my last visit, I ordered the matcha flight, which included four different matcha flavor options (honey vanilla, chago, strawberry rose, and blueberry). The flights are really cute, I highly recommend ordering one when you come for a visit. Service staff is very friendly. When you bring your dog, they also offer a complimentary pup cup, which my dog devoured. Free wifi and outlets are available, which are always a nice plus. My boyfriend and I briefly talked to the owner, and learned that Lucky Dog Cafe supports special needs kids and those on the autism spectrum, which is incredible. Came here for a fundraiser (BBBS) and been coming back ever since. . The food and drinks are SO friggin good! I was stuck for the longest time on the Mexican mocha with coconut milk (tasted like an almond joy, yum!) but recently started trying their other drinks (a toffee espresso drink, smores espresso, chocolate peanut butter espresso, and Chai tea). Maybe I've gotten lucky or they've trained their staff on how to make espresso, but I haven't yet gotten a bitter drink. And I'm VERY picky with my coffee. Recently my husband and I tried the cinnamon streusel muffin and that was the best muffin I've ever put in my mouth. It was moist, heavily spiced and sweet. We got it a second time and although it was good, it was next to the banana nut muffin and it tasted strongly of that which I wasn't a huge fan of. Staff has always been friendly, place has always been clean. We've tried several other things like the breakfast burrito and avocado toast which were both delicious. Every time I've been I have had the most incredible customer service and I don't think I've ever had the same drink twice because there is SO much to try. My husband and I take our dogs here at least once a week because of how great the drinks are, and how sweet and friendly the staff is.
