They are great! I have boarded with Kittyland a couple of times since I've been in Ventura. I try…read moreto avoid boarding in general because my furballs have always been homebodies but occasionally it is unavoidable. The deluxe condos are multilevel and divided so kitty has separate eating, sleeping, and necessary areas. The room my cats have stayed in has huge windows on to lovely and thoughtful landscaping. The cottages and suites are very spacious with lots of room to play and interesting things to do. The owner is very nice, and takes the time to show you around and allow you to help get your cat comfortable. She listens to care instructions and is patient with you and your fluffy little monster. I brought a sheet, her (my cat, not the owner) favorite toys, a piece of clothing with my smell on it, and her food (3 kinds), and some treats, along with her probiotic powder. Kittyland handled it all. You can put in your feeding and any medication instructions online when you book, and then go over everything when you get there. She is also flexible with pick-up times (within the pick-up and drop-off windows). They even do daycare, though it didn't give her much time to settle down the time we had to send her while they were reglazing our tub with toxic fume-generating chemicals. When I think spa: Maybe some aromatherapy? Enya on the sound system? Cucumber eye mask and a rub down with a hot towel fresh from the dryer?

He was treated with love and more. The spot he stayed in was a "Cottage" which was open enough for him to frolic and enclosed enough for him to just chilax. We will definitely be taking him again on our next holiday. Thank You again.

Even after a 9 day boarding stay, my velcro dog couldn't wait to go back for daycare the next week to play with his friends. They always come back tired and happy.

I was charged $53.00 For a false fee …read more I called the manager Diana to complain about it and ask for a refund. The manager called me and didn't want to have the owners call me to let them know my experience so instead of doing that she now won't let my dog come to Doggin around anymore ? This was after a serious heart attack I had and boarding the dog for six days and paying full price They then charged a full day price for picking up the dog after her bath at 3 PM and here's the response I got from the company manager Diana. I would hope the owners would call to find out what's going on in there doggy daycare. Diana should really be fired. I wanted to follow up regarding our conversation and your review. I was disappointed to read some of the statements made about me and our team, as I feel they do not accurately reflect the conversation or the steps I took to address your concerns. When you brought the late pickup fee to my attention, I listened to your concerns and credited the fee back to your account as a resolution. I also attempted to explain the policy behind your concerns, not to dismiss them, but to provide context. My goal was to have a respectful conversation and find a solution. I was very much in disbelief of the concerns, and I respectfully told you, they're concerns that have not been brought up by many. But those are your concerns and feelings and I respect that and I gave you space to express them. During our call, I felt that the conversation shifted from addressing the concern into criticism of my intentions and my role as a manager. I took a moment to process what you were sharing because I wanted to respond professionally rather than react emotionally. I respect that you have the right to share your experience and request further review from ownership. Your additional concerns will be communicated to them. However, after reviewing the situation, we, along with ownership, have decided that continuing a business relationship is no longer the right fit, and you and your pets are no longer eligible for services at Doggin' Around or any affiliated facilities. Regarding your payments, any transaction made today will be voided. For any prior charges that require a refund, please come into the facility with the card used for payment so we can process that refund. I'm sorry that after four years this is where we have arrived, but we believe this decision is the best path forward.

They treated my husband and me with respect and worked with us to make our rescue happen. We have another dog, and they let us bring our dog in over a period of weeks to get Casper used to the idea of having a brother. The wonderful and diverse volunteers and the CARL management team used their own funds(and a lot of love) to nurse Jake back to health. We were fortunate to come across CARL and to have Jake adopt us! It is important to mention that CARL gets some of its funding from the private kennel they run at the same site. If they treat the paid "guests" to anything near as well as the rescue, then your dog(s) are in for a treat(and you are helping to fund the shelter). The place is large, with three large and enclosed lawn areas. Many volunteers are constantly playing with, walking, or sneaking the rescue dogs some treats. Please consider them when you need a kennel or if you are considering a new "family member."
