Everything is always good there I particularly like the fried livers In their roasted chicken for what it is, it's really really good and you can tell by the chicken I got the chicken that's never frozen. I'll start of by saying the pace smelled like sewage. We sat outside because of that. The service was the best part of our experience as we had a great server. Food was subpar. The cheese curds were decent but everything else was not great. I got the New Mexico green chili turkey melt. It sounded great but was lacking flavor and not to mention I ordered chips and got fries. We were in the East Valley for a baseball tournament and the team decided during break to go there to eat. Service was very good considering about 40 people came in at the same time (including our messy 13 year old boys). I ordered the Reuben because that's how I rate a restaurant. If you can't make a good Reuben I'm out. This Reuben was one of the very best I've ever had!! The tater tots were not hot but they were ok. My mom's neighbor told her about bingo. We met up last Tuesday and had a great time. It starts at 5. You should arrive a bit early to get your cards and find a seat. It's pretty packed. It's free and they have great prizes. The menu is expansive! There are so many great options. Our service was great. There's a ton of seating. Looks like a great place to watch a game. The pulled pork was delish. My mom and I shared nachos. It was a huge dish. There was plenty for both of us. We'll definitely go back. I've told coworkers and friends how much fun it was . Ah yes, where do I start, after 30 mins minimum, I've had to endure what my story is going to be called "A tale of 2 Pabsts". What I thought would be at least a decent place (been here before after being ignored for 5 mins). Which seems to be the norm. Don't expect to be noticed until the 5-10 minute mark, just don't. Kick back relax with the air around you. The bartender just simply either ignores you or is just that oblivious. After about 7 or so minutes I have finally acquired my first Pabst...then awkwardly she gives me the menu, almost hinting the demise of taking the menu. After maybe 15 minutes of being ignored I have acquired my second Pabst but before I can even order my food she bolted off to other people (I was already ready to order maybe like 10 minutes before the second Pabst). I'm starving now, and since I've been from Wisconsin and now down here, there isn't really a bar that's great. This bar apparently prides itself from Wisconsin. I'll tell you this, this embarrasses anything of a true Wisconsin bar. The atmosphere by staff is the vibe if "you're not 50+, you can see yourself out" I'm just wanting to leave and pay, but I feel like I'm being held hostage for the how bad the service is. It is truly a taste of home to me...(that being neglected). She has only came to me twice in about 40ish minutes, hasn't even looked at me with my 2 pabsts, and all I've wanted was a broccoli cheddar soup. Just seems dismal as this bar that I have been at multiple times has been similar experiences. If I had a white board telling the bartender what I wanted with writing on it, I don't think she'd care or notice. This just seems a bar that doesn't care if you're not over 50. Perhaps the only thing is maybe the Thursday wing deal, but that is the ONLY thing that may save this bar...can't think of anything else. Also, there is a sign that says "We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone" maybe add the fact if you're young you won't be getting service at all. Bad - I guess we walked into new ownership - place was truly updated and looked great - it was 5:00 on Monday Night Football and there was one bartender - took 20 min to order food - got chicken fried steak with gravy and mashed potatoes and gravy - CFS was served with no gravy and gravy on the MP was like thick water - asked for gravy on the CFS and got the same watery gravy I'm sorry but it was bad - meat was not the "old school tenderized round steak" but just a piece of meat breaded and fried - but it was a truly bad experience! A friend recommended JJ Madison's as a local place to go for something to eat. We arrived shortly before 9pm and opted to sit at the bar. We were saddened to find out that the grill shuts down at 9pm, but the bartender said that if we ordered something quickly, she could probably get it in for us. The bartender was awesome and very attentive! We ordered a chicken tender basket and shrimp basket. The food arrived fast and hot. The shrimp basket was very basic. It wasn't phenomenal, but definitely not horrible by any means. I was impressed with the french fries because I don't generally like battered fries. The chicken tenders were impressive. They weren't your typical flat chicken tender strips. These were massive! The tater tots were perfect. I felt that the pricing was quite reasonable for what we received. There was karaoke going on when we arrived. I very pleased with the fact that this places has some regulars that are impressive singers. Since new owners took over the quality and selection of food has diminishing factors to consider...it is a total shame that the menu has changed so drastically and new items are added and is sloppily put together, I come in faithfully every Tuesday and noticed other patrons complaining but not wanting to upset the new owners. I feel the kitchen needs a complete overhaul with a designated manager and a cookbook with recipes that must be followed. read more

Saturday date night last month brought us back here and we settled in to enjoy our evening. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. Our waitress was dismissive and almost rude. My husband ordered a Tall Jack and Coke. After asking our server about blended alcohol drinks, I ordered a Strawberry Daquiri, laughed, and said FULLY LOADED. His drink was served in a small glass. However, the refill later was served in a full size glass. I was served a virgin drink. The receipt for our meal stated virgin as well. I didn't say anything because I was just angry and it was small in the grand scheme of life. We asked our waitress about the same charge for both a short and tall glass at $5.65, she blew us off entirely and said the drinks were the same. Sorry, if you put Jack and Coke in a small glass, and you put more Coke and the same amount of Jack in a tall glass, there is a huge difference to the person enjoying that drink. My husband was disappointed. Our meals were good. I had a My Boy Blue burger, my husband had sliders. Both were very tasty, but hat stayed with me was the drink fiasco. read more

We usually like JJ Madison's for dinner; but the last time we were there our food was served rather on the cold side. My husbands pork tenderloin sandwich and tater tots were cold. My chicken snack was not very hot and my tater tots were cold and greasy. They took my husbands meal back to be redone but when the tater tots came out the second time they were still cold. Service was okay but the server was overwhelmed by the number of patrons in the restaurant. Overall the establishment could use a really good cleaning of the windows. We probably won't be back. So sad as they have great breasted chicken when served hot. read more

Between 5:30 and 6:00 pm last Wednesday we arrived for dinner at one of our favorite places to eat a Rueben sandwich. They have a great Rueben! The problem was Denise, the bartender. We had to wave a man behind the bar down to get our order in after waiting at least 10 mins. Denise not once came to check on us, ask if we needed anything or even give eye contact to us. Each time we needed something we had to wave someone down, usually the man, to get helped. The only person that was a professional was the young guy that brought us our food. He was polite, friendly and respectful. During our visit Denise was very friendly and accommodating to people she called by name. When Denise finally came over to us was when we paid and all she said to us was Thank you friends. If we get that bad of service there again, we will not be returning. This is a clean, pretty cool place to hang out for a few beers and some decent bar food. They pride themselves on their wings, which were great, with about a dozen flavors to choose from. However, the execution on the cook of the wings failed miserably, but the flavor profile on the wings were great. The chicken was nuked or should I say cooked way too hard. I was going to order the meatloaf but when I inquired as to when the meatloaf was cooked the waitress did not have a clue. That was a quick pass.
