As most food lovers know, food and drinks always seem to taste better when enjoyed in good company. I only hope that didn't subconsciously influence me toward a more favorable review. I had the Caesar salad with ahi tuna, which was excellent, and paired it with a nice house cabernet. It made for a very pleasant evening. The atmosphere is that of a classic pub, with walls decorated with a variety of military memorabilia. As a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, that was especially meaningful and noteworthy to me. The service was friendly and welcoming, and I also appreciated that they offer a veteran's discount. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. read more

I was there for the Marine Corps birthday celebration, and while the turnout wasn't super huge the service staff was still excellent and accommodating. The owner was on site and greeted us with enthusiasm. The food was good and came quickly. I will definitely come back for a second time. It's not hard to find, and definitely worth the trip. They show they have accessible seating... They do not.... Offering people in Wheelchairs a HIGH TOP TABLE or a BOOTH is very insulting to the incapacitated customer. The only solution I guess you could eat outside in 105 degees. Ridiculous customer service,,, People in Wheel chairs cannot hop up to high tops or leave their chair for a booth... Insensitive, embarrassing, and just plain RUDE... But the hostess offered zero solution and could care less that I left their establishment. read more

I saw that this place was military friendly, and I loved that. But I cannot allow a terrible restaurant experience to hide behind the fact that they support the military. Went in on a Saturday afternoon not many people. The service was slow, the kid was nice but super slow. We ordered two beers. And we ordered a Cobb salad. That's some lettuce, a cut up egg, and a bit of meat. 25 minutes later still no salad we told our server to remove it from the Bill and he apologized and said that the salad was just ready. Which is not true. I'll never go back. This place sucks. I'm only giving it a two star because Duvall was a nice kid. read more

Went here for lunch. I got fish and chips, my husband got a burger. We got mushroom poppers for appetizer. The service was so extremely slow, I was sitting in a way where I could see the kitchen when the door would open, our food was just sitting there for at least 10-15 mins. My fish and chips were kinda soggy when I got it and it took forever to get a little extra ketchup, the burger was dry and no longer hot. The food was like warm. I was sad. read more

BE CAREFUL - BILLING FRAUD with ECHO 5 Sports Pub!! Check your bills carefully, our waiter added a $4 tip to the bill AFTER I put in the final bill amount, signed the check AND left the restaurant. Not only did he engage in fraud, but the service was horrible (he was rude to everyone in our party, didn't know the specials and wouldn't go check, forgot food, never checked on us) The food was ok, nothing special, you can get better someplace else. So we stopped by today for the first time , our friend took us there. The service was terrible, we were seated and then forgot about , couldn't get a drink, or food. The waitress was all over the table right next to us ( they were regulars, even gave them free shots). and we couldn't even order a beverage. The waitress was standing at the regulars table for an extended time and couldn't even look our way to see if we needed anything. Took us to flag someone down to get any service, and we had to do it every time we needed something. The food was just ok, but the lack of service was absolutely horrible. This place never improves. The service is absolutely terrible. Stopped going there years ago because of the service but tried it again today and nothing has changed. The bartender completely ignores you even if there is no one else sitting at the bar. The wait staff constantly needs to be flagged down to get any service. It took over 20 minutes after we finished our meal to get our check and there were only two other customers dining at the time. We thought we would give this place a 2nd try. I was very reluctant. But we did. This is a sports bar right? A crap load of TVs but when you ask to get a particular game on one of the TVs(baseball) you find out they don't have the the baseball package. Really? So they can't put it on. Long story short we had one beer and left. We were about to place an order for food. Too bad this place could be packed if it was ran right. Echo 5 is such a fun pub with a laid back vibe. The inside is modern and clean. The patio is a super cool place to hang out and have drinks. Their salads are heavenly and huge. They have some unique offerings like chicharrones hot out of the fryer and breaded cheese curds. This area of Mesa reminds me of Scottsdale since the bars and restaurants in this area are more upscale. Enjoy! read more

Stopped in with the boys after running around town for errands and it was definitely a treat. Both bartenders Lauren and Lauren as we now call the good L's were on top of their game and even with a full bar either had a new drink or were acknowledged that our next drink would be there shortly within a minute! The menu actually has a ton of choices so even if you're a picky eater you'll definitely find something to order. Our server Maria went above and beyond to make sure we needed nothing the entire time we were there and she seems to have one speed which is go go go, it was definitely entertaining to see her bounce around the bar and not miss a single beat! We will definitely be going back and if next time is just as good we'll be changing this to our regular go to spot for whatever reasons or excuses we can come up with. Thy are charging prices as if they they are getting all of the sports TV packages. Thee only sport they truly cover is football. Not big on soccer, the NBA, WNBA, or baseball but for D-Backs. Many of the TVs are simply too small for viewing. The food is typical sports bar flair with some creativity, and certainly much better than Buffalo Wild Wings, Uncle Bear, and the Fat Willy's. The service is mixed. You can have a terrific server one day, and one that ignores you the next visit. Ambiance is clean but no central theme other than they like the Veterans. I served in the USMC but always considered my service a stepping stone as opposed to a lifetime achievement highlight, although I did get to represent the USMC at the Olympic Trials back in 19XX. I feel that some of their lack of support for certain sports is driven by old school mentality reminding me of conversations fifty years ago...which is still prevalent in the East Valley. Politic ans social perspectives shouldn't drive the offerings of sports in a sports bar. They do get all "twisted and bent out of shape" if you request a certain game. Never mind that their prices reflect the sports TV feeds. At Native Grill & Wings, you request a game, and they are happy to put it on or switch a TV over - as long as you are not interrupting a game someone is watching. Been here a few times, today on St. Patrick's Day. It's a very festive bar and with it being an Irish one it's pretty cool. The menu is limited (probably because of how busy it is) but has some Irish dishes. A little pricy, which personally triggers me more than it should (but in my defense, $12 for 3 chicken strips is getting personal). Overall great service, had multiple coming out to ask if our group was good. They had green beers, and a large table so I didn't feel crammed with 8 other people. Walked in. TVs in very bad shape. Asked for Bud Light. Told they don't serve Bud Light. Hmmmm. Why is that?

It's alright, sort of dim and dingy inside and food is below average. Friendly service!

If I could give it zero, I would. We were a party of 8. Ordered 2 burgers - medium. Both were overcooked and dry. Sweet potato fries were burned. Had an order of fish n chips. The fish was burned. Caesar salad with chicken which was overcooked. The only highlight was the Mac and cheese. Overall it was a bad experience. They weren't busy. Our waiter never checked on us. The pretzel sticks were good, but $18 for 4 pretzel sticks - really? The bill was $200 for 6 meals, 2 kids meals and 4 beers. Yikes! read more

We live right around the corner from here and was looking for a fun, new and sophisticated place to watch the World Series and have some dinner and this was definitely the place. I was super impressed by our waiter he had the best customer service I've experienced since moving to Arizona 4 years ago he definitely deserves a promotion I believe his name was Craig super attentive. Now here's where they could use some help and that's in the kitchen. I ordered a taco salad that I should've honestly sent back. The ground beef was very dry and had NO flavor to it once so ever and the shell was way over fried almost burnt but my boyfriends fish and chips were crazy good so that was a plus. All in all is was a great place to come I just recommend that you not order a taco salad dry and has no flavor at all even if you ask for salsa but the customer service is fantastic. read more

The pub has a great atmosphere and decor. I visited the pub last Sunday to watch the Cowboys play the Lions. We ordered appetizers and drinks then our meal, I also bought an echo 5 cup for a Veteran. My intentions were to stay there to watch the whole game. I did enjoy the food, and the game when a female wearing cardinals gear and long dangle red earrings( who was not our waitress) came by and bagged up our food. In my opinion was not a big deal kinda felt that we were being rushed but I let it go since our intentions were to stay and watch the game. The restaurant was not busy at this time. After we ordered another round of drinks because it was half time at that point this waitress rudely tells myself and the individual that I was with "geez are you guys closing down the place"? To my astonishment , I was like what did she just say? I was pretty sure that she was not being sarcastic. So hopefully the owner of the restaurant sees this and corrects her behavior towards the customers. Also this being a Veteran run establishment I would think that the employees would have more respect for the veterans that do come in and patron the restaurant. I do not believe that I would ever go back or recommend this pub to anyone that I know, due to the fact of how the staff treated myself and the individual I was with. read more
