I arrived and it was one woman doing someone's nails in an empty salon...on a Saturday. I waited a few minutes and her husband arrived to do my pedi, which was honestly pretty disappointing, but he was very nice and my toe polish looked good so I let it slide. By the time I sat with her to get my nails done, not a single person had called or walked in. That should have been my sign. I could tell they were going to end up badly from the beginning as she piled on uneven amounts of acrylic. I thought "trust the process." I shouldn't have. They were so bad. I didn't even let her paint them because I knew I was gonna have to take them off. I paid, left and fumed for twenty minutes in the car, then drove off. I was going to have to go home and soak them off, or pay another place to fix this mess. I finally talked myself into calling and asking for a refund. She gave me my money back and I appreciate that but the more I think about it, the less comfortable I feel letting anyone else spend a dime here. They are so bad. Nice lady but maybe don't get acrylics here. These pics are the ones I took the minute I walked out of the salon while I fumed in the car.

I had tried to show this to the white haired gentleman before he cut me off, so I do not find this to be her fault. While I was sitting there, the man picked up the TINIEST corner of paper towel off the floor by my foot and gave the kid who was doing check ins on the floor the nastiest look and shoved the paper in his face. When I saw how he treated the staff and she hadn't gotten far with with my nails, I just asked her to remove the old set so I could leave, I did not want to support a business that treats their staff this way. While waiting to check out and tip Janna, I watched the man with the white hair speak so rudely to his staff. For the price, the nail techs are trying to push out sales as fast as they can and do not get the time to do a good job. This guy is extremely rude to everyone around. I do not suggest supporting this business and I will not be coming back.

Then my tech--an older lady--got to the callus remover part and accidentally sliced my toe. I definitely felt something, but I wasn't sure what it was at first. She stopped immediately, didn't say anything, and kind of kept covering the spot and checking it. She had me put my foot back in the hot water and then just moved on to my other foot. No sugar scrub, no finishing touches on the one she hurt. Every time I tried to peek at it, she gently tugged my foot back. So I was trying to convince myself it wasn't that bad. Paid full price, tipped $10 because I used to work in service and I just can't not tip... and then the second I put my sock and shoe on, I realized oh no, it is that bad. When I stepped outside and finally got a look, yep--she really did slice some skin off. I'll post pictures, so if you're squeamish about blood, maybe skip those. I won't be coming back, but honestly, they did an amazing job on my friend's feet, so at least one of us walked out happy!

In my hour and a half pedi, which speaks to the attention to detail, all by itself, I observed several folks come and go, watched staff clean and disinfect not only the basin and tools, but also the seats and the headrests. Not just spraying the basin down but really scrubbing it and rinsing really well. Thank you! Small things like using no plastic to seal the tools means less for our landfill. Using hand towels and requiring every customer to wash their hands before each appointment, and staff to wash before and after - these little things add up. My pedi? It was heavenly. Yes, I splurged and it was completely worth it. Every polish and shellac polishes are all non toxic - this matters as these are going right on your nail bed. So excited to have found a clean, non toxic and high quality nail spa. Already looking forward to returning!
