Just took my 2 dogs there, both weigh 50-60 lbs. Got the whole package for both of them. Dropped them off, got a call an hour later saying there were ready. When I picked them up they both smelled amazing, their fur was soft and clean, hair brushed out, paw pads were soft and trimmed up, nails trimmed, and looked amazing. I have a large Coonhound mix and a small beagle/doxen mix and we love their "2 fur Tuesday" promotion, meaning 2 self washes for the price of 1. The self was includes a variety of scented soap, special scrub brushes, multi-nozzled hose, a face wash, ear cleaner, towels, blow dryers, brushes and a complementary perfume puff to get your pup looking and smelling squeaky clean. My dog was abused there. When I call to attempt to talk to the manager, I keep getting told that she's not there. The groomer cut off a large chunk of a large mold, made one deep cut on her leg, and about two smaller cuts. They hid her abuse and lied when I picked her up. Unfortunately, I did not see the signs for a couple hours after I picked her up. In addition, customers should pay attention to what they actually charge your credit card versus what they ring up on the cash register. The groomer told me it would be $70 and when I saw the register showing $65, I asked her why the difference. She was, without telling me, charging me $70 but keeping $5 for herself. I was hesitating if bringing my labrador mix here to just get a bath & deshedding cause he's the sweetest but he's very scared and nervous of a lot of stuff. At pick up we notice that he had a bunch of other dogs hairs all over and he also was still a bit wet. But was not until today (1 day after groom) we were cuddling and I just notice this big skin cut on his leg. I have a bigger girl, and while we are working on her weight loss journey with our vet, she needs some grooming help. I had taken a long time to finally reach out to a professional groomer because it can be hard to find a place that has cat experience in a dog world. Make no mistake, I love dogs too, but a lot of groomers mostly advertise dogs and so this review is for the cat owners that may also need to find someone. I was very happy with this place and their cat groomer knows what she is doing. I know a cats personality and how they handle a situation can play a huge part in the success of the experience but even over the phone I could tell that the groomer (who's name I wish I could remember!) knew it can be a delicate process. She explained in detail how it could go and that it could be more than one appointment depending on how my cat responded to getting her nails trimmed and they would take it slowly from there letting her get accustomed to the environment etc. So I went in knowing that it may need to be done in more than one appointment. However, I was so happy to be able to bring her home smelling so fresh, and feeling so soft and fluffy. I was informed she was vocal about her displeasure but tolerated everything so that was great. She is napping away peacefully as I write this. I should also mention that everyone is very friendly there too! I hope this review helps a few cat owners out who are in need of the extra help too. read more

Hot mess, walked in and interrupted someone eating breakfast at the front counter. She couldn't find out appointment even though we received two confirmation texts. It didn't help that she was competing with someone else for the computer. After finding us on one screen but not another, she went back to ask. Turns out two groomers quit and instead of making arrangements they just took those two groomers of the schedule. Needless to say we will be looking for a new groomer that respects our dog and our time. read more

This place is terrific and situated very close to Bark Park so my dirty dog park Sundays I get a freshly baptized dog. You go in and are greeted by the owner's kids or the friends all cute little moppets with very pleasant, helpful attitudes. Refreshing! I do the DIY bath every time we're there. There are different size tubs, i.e. you have a peanut size dog they get raised tubs and a ramp to climb in. The big guys get the floor bath. They provide all the wash supplies, with a selection of shampoos, combs, clippers, shedders, etc. And of course a big plastic apron to keep you from taking a bath. They post your pets photos on FB, you get a punch card for your visits to equal a free one, they keep a groomer there and offer full service washing if you don't want to. The water comes from a powerful handheld shower head that could neuter a dog if you don't check the pressure first. And the blow dryer is also very powerful, could pin a chihuahua to the wall, it's also pretty loud, that freaks some dogs out. The charge is by size, mine is med, and she costs $16+tip. Since I'm a veteran of bath houses (the dog kind) and I want this business to succeed, I'll offer some suggestions: Clean out the tools after each dog, all 3x I was there they had fur left in them. Same goes for drains in the tubs. Put your shampoos in easier to dispense bottles, those things are way too tight to be fussing with when you have a reluctant dog you need to control-condiment bottle would probably work great. Give ingredient info on the bottles of sundries. Have a wastebasket in each stall for cotton balls and other trash as well as a hamper for the drying towels. All in all, we love this place. read more

I had a good first experience at Lucky Paws during the week. I took in 3 dogs, groomed 2 myself and let them do the 3rd. The dog they did was wonderfully groomed and I was happy to have found a groomer so close to where we live. The 2nd time was a fiasco. I scheduled two dogs for a bath and groom. They told me the first available appointment was a Saturday, so I took it. The shop was chaotic and I should have left and rescheduled. Instead, I left my 2 dogs. They told me 2 hours. Almost 3 hours later they called and said the dogs were ready. When I walked in the shop, they immediately went and got my male, who is a busy teenager and handed him to me within touching distance of another whole male dog. Bad idea. I pulled him to the side, while they got my poor deaf girl out of a "drying cage" where she was cowering. She is the happiest dog in the world and I was extremely concerned to see how shut down she was. Before I could even touch her they were asking me how she looked. I told them I hadn't had time to look. When I put my hands on her, her neck and behind her ears were so wet that the bandanna and her collar were both soaked. She was matted behind the ears and at the back of her neck. When I called their attention to this they said they would dry her some more but she hadn't liked the dryer. I have *never* had trouble with her and a dryer before. While the girl began to get her set up on a table, my teenager is pulling and barking and it was again a chaotic scene. I told her to forget it, I would take her home and take care of it myself. I pointed out that my male had mats on the inside of his thighs and they advised me that was the "sani area" and they didn't do that. It is NOT part of a sanitary trim. I was very unhappy that they charged me full price for the groom. They replied that they said they would fix it if I waited. I'd already waited nearly an hour longer than they said and changed my schedule to allow for the pickup. I told them they should have gotten it right BEFORE they called me to pick them up. So I took my dogs home, again observing how shut down my sweet white dog was and wondering what the hell they did to her. When I put her up on the grooming table at home, I realized that they had only blown her dry partially, and not combed her out at all. I am an experienced groomer and I know how a coat looks when its dried and not combed. I combed mats and lot of loose hair out of her. The same with my male. They charged me $94 for this fiasco that I had to spend about 45 minutes correcting. I sent photos of the hair and mats I combed out of them via email and asked that the owner contact me. The owner, Karen Brown, did call me and basically made a variety of excused as to why this happened, up to and including that a bath and blow dry did not include grooming. Having had such a great experience the first time, how in the world was I supposed to expect that my dogs would not be groomed like the first one would? I told her they did a good job on their feet and asked for a partial refund for the rest, which she refused. She would rather have bad reviews online than refund $60. They just did a lousy job and did not own up to it. I will never take my dogs there again. If you have long coated dogs, beware. I wonder how many matted dogs are running around out there because their owners think they were groomed when they went to Lucky Pups. read more

This is easily the greatest place to pamper your dog, and I don't just say that because they've got great services and friendly staff but because you can choose to bathe your dog yourself and although it sounds intimidating the staff is so helpful and really walks you through the processes if you need help. If doing it yourself isn't your thing you can always have their great team of bathers to do it for you. I love lucky pups because it gives me the options but also because i am able to bathe my dog all by myself which I have grown to love doing! The groomers at lucky pups are truly great and really make sure that you get exactly what you want. One groomer in particular that I always go to is Stephanie she makes my baby look so good and I love her bubbly goofy personality! Truly a great place to bring your fur babies.
