The food was subpar at best. General chicken was as dry. The rice was not fully cooked.

It used to be sooo good! But tonight I can't even eat it. It's so chewy and the rice is undercooked.

Souper Market has become my go-to spot when I am looking for a quick and healthy lunch…read more SOUPS -- All their soups come with a side of thick, fresh bread. They have many soups on the permanent menu and they also have rotating soups that come and go (daily specials). I recently tried one of their daily specials soup, the 12 ounce size African peanut chicken soup ($6) in April 2026 and it was tasty. The African peanut chicken soup had a slight sweetness to it because of the peanut butter (or just peanuts added) but it was still edible. They also have an absolutely delicious Jambalaya soup that is a hearty option for when you are really hungry. Besides soups, they offer salads and Cleveland Vegan cookies. The cookies are $3 a piece. Customer service has always been friendly and efficient anytime I've visited. I went to Kent for an adventure, found Hue Banh Mi & Pho on Yelp! so I gave it a go. When I walked through the door I knew the food was going to be good because it smelled like I was in the kitchen hovering over fresh cut veg, fish sauce and lime. Yum. I got two pork banh mi and summer rolls. I ate half a sandwich and one roll at a nearby park and had the other half for dinner when I got home. The bread was perfect--crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The veg was crisp and refreshing and the pork delicious, tender and moist. The summer roll was good, peanut sauce was perfect and I got a side of nước chấm so I could double dip. I had the second sandwich for breakfast.* I happily saw they put mayo on the banh mi so I asked for none and they made it without. Yay or otherwise yuk. I will make a special 55 minute trip to eat here again. *I go between Detroit and Cleveland on the regular so I usually get a banh mi for the road and one for the next day. Hear me out--deconstruct the sandwich and wrap the veg in a moist paper towel and seal in a glass jar. Store the bread in the paper bag it came in and put the meat away as you normally would. The next day wet the paper bag and put the bread in the oven for about 5 mins. Reheat the meat on the stove top, reassemble and enjoy.

The carrots and jalapenos were fresh. The baguette was both slightly crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. This would be a solid 4 in NYC. In Kent, OH... it's a well deserved 5 stars.

Staff are helpful and to the point. They are from Hong Kong. Their food is amazing! We felt safe from food allergy stand point. They checked labels and control the ingredients going into the food. Small restaurants with a few tables for 4-6. And also a long counter along the wall with places to sit at like in other ramen places. Highly recommend!!! 10/5. Amish Country at its best!…read more This is a gem of a restaurant. We found this place thanks to the great reviews on Yelp. We were not familiar with Baltic, Ohio, yet we were so happy we found this place. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, it felt like we were eating in someone's home. Christian, the manager, could have not done anything more to accommodate us. He really went out of his way to enhance our experience. Our waitress, Arlene, had told us she had been there for several years and you could really tell this by her ability to help us through the menu. She wanted to make sure we were completely satisfied. The menu was one like I had never seen before. Everything from a large breakfast selection to Wagyu and Prime steaks. I had the best Ruben sandwich I had ever eaten ( that is saying a lot). We also shared the Wagyu filet with hand cut fries and sweet potato fries. The steak was sautéed with fresh mushrooms and onions. The steak was seasoned to absolute perfection. You have to try this. I have posted pictures of the menu. Don't forget a side order of homemade mac & cheese. Their prices are extremely reasonable considering the quality of the food and the impeccable service. The decor is perfect. Simple yet very pretty. They even have a nice area (living room style) that we hung out in until our table was ready. This Amish restaurant is the "best of the best". I will be back in this area next year and will be sure to make this my go to restaurant. Bravo to the staff and chef, well done.
