Perfect night for a birthday celebration! We came in to celebrate a birthday with the whole family and left with nothing but great memories. From the moment we sat down, our server Anj took incredible care of us. She was attentive, kind, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive, just checking in at all the right moments. We spent a solid two hours bowling and having a blast together, fueled by a delicious spread of pizza, wings, and fries that kept the table happy all night. And the timing could not have been better: Anj brought out the birthday cake at the perfect moment, right as we were winding down, giving the evening the sweetest possible ending (literally). Between the food, the fun, and Anj's genuinely warm service, this is exactly what a celebration night should feel like. We'll definitely be back!

This is not a place to come if youre a pro bowler. But even as a once in a while bowler, i could tell the lanes were half oiled. The dots for the lanes are also very faded so its hard to tell where to line up and the lanes are short. The pins are on strings and sometimes if the pin moves and lands on another pin itll think it didnt get knocked down. I saw a pin slide from the middle to the right side and it ended up not being a strike. Imo, it was hilarious but not for my friend cause it didnt count as a strike. The balls are weird. They have holes on 2 sides but its for different sized hands or fingers. They also wont let you get 2 separate lanes if you have 6 people or under, so itll feel cramped even if it isnt busy. My friends kids love this place. They have a small arcade section that we spent a decent while on since friends kids wanted prizes. It looks like they do have ayc bowl from 11-1 on saturdays and sundays.

Very cool place and very good food too!!!!!

You already know you're going to get the best service whenever Jessicah is there . If she's not there, it's honestly a toss-up! Her smile, energy, and positive attitude always make the experience better. She brings such a positive and happy energy that makes you feel welcomed every time

One of the better locations for bowling in the area! Great staffing who is always accommodating, well kept and clean sitting areas/lanes and overall a great time. Thank you to Zeke who always goes out of his way to greet us, my wife & I appreciate you taking the time. And thank you to the entire Lucky Strike staff, you guys are awesome!

I went for a family night out and played three games. This bowling alley had strings on the pins. I felt like I can bowl better without the strings. The employees were not that friendly. The place was very busy but was clean.

I came back on a separate day to offer my patronage and support. Parking is plentiful. Interior has an old school look and feel to it. Quite nostalgic! Very clean and organized, but not super bright. Most house bowling balls were old, dirty, and chipped. I don't use a house ball since I have my own personal bowling ball. They may want to invest in some new balls... just saying. Their bowling games were $9.50 per game that Saturday night. I ended up not bowling. I would love to return to take advantage of their Early Bird Special at $4.75 per game which is a great deal from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM on the weekend. League rate is $5.00 per game which is a steal, too (please note league must be hosted by Action Lanes to qualify). Bowling shoes are $5.00 per pair which isn't bad, but I have my own shoes so I don't need them. Please check out their other rates and promos online. When I was here, I had a wonderful conversation with Caleb. He was working behind the counter. Super friendly and nice young man. He gave me the scoop on which nights have leagues and when it was best to come here for best deals. Thanks Caleb! I didn't want to leave without supporting them. There's a boba shop inside the bowling alley, but they were closed at the time. I ended up buying one A&W Rootbeer from the vending machine. It wasn't a lot, but it was something. Quite a refreshing drink! I love bowling so I'll definitely be back to bowl. Thanks Action Lanes!

This was a perfect snack after an hour of bowling. I would order this again! Parking is shared with the other businesses in the plaza. It is large so you won't have to worry about not finding a spot. The business wasn't as busy when we came here during the week. There were a few lanes still open when we arrived. Overall, I recommend this spot. Whether you're a novice or a professional bowler, it's a great place to hang! If it weren't for the Yelp Elite Event held here, I wouldn't have thought to come back. Thanks, Action Lanes! See you again soon!

It was a busy night apparently, but the lane next to us was empty for the duration of the time we were there. Interesting, but whatever. My cousin, who competes in local competitions, said the lanes are kind of whack as the pins go down a bit too easily and reward the crappier players. Not sure what he meant by that, but I did bowl better than my usual average of 65. Prices are decent and we took advantage of the 3-game special where the third game is half-off. Balls are in pretty decent shape and they have small to X large for everyone. Pro tip: there's a pretty good bar in here, sort of a hidden spot for locals here. If the usual popular sports bars are too crowded when a big game is on, I usually just come here. Lots of beer on tap, the screens are pretty large, and their burgers and fries are pretty good. Their cocktails are pretty solid as well. Happy rolling!

I asked for an order of elote fries and she completely ignored me and walked away. Our drinks and food came out, but no fries. I went up to the bar where she and an Asian guy were making drinks. I stood there for a couple minutes waiting to be helped and both of them walked by me without saying a word. When I finally asked about the fries, she told me nobody placed the order. I told her I literally asked her for the fries at the table and she ignored me. Instead of apologizing, she just said "okay" and walked away. Making a mistake is one thing. Acting like you don't care and refusing to take any responsibility is another. Nobody apologized, nobody tried to make it right, and the attitude was awful the entire time. Definitely won't be back.

We ordered some mixed pitchers of soju (Lychee and then Peach). They were tasty and NOT weak sauce, so we appreciated that. We followed it up with a bottle of Jinro Green Grape ( I don't like Good Day or Soon Hari), so I was happy. We had some deep-fried batter zucchini, but the batter was too much and made it dense. However, the army stew was pretty good, so we mostly ate that to complement our drinks since we were celebrating my bday. I drink half of my calories nowadays. Overall, it was a decent place. I would return if someone asked me to go and would definitely come here than drive all the way to K-Town.

Upon arrival, the bathrooms were filthy, with overflowing trash cans, paper towels scattered across the floor, and stalls that were clearly not being maintained. There was also feces left on one of the toilets, making the conditions especially unsanitary. From the photos I posted, it is evident that this restroom has been severely neglected and likely has not been properly cleaned in quite some time. This was incredibly embarrassing as a host. For a venue that accommodates private parties and large groups, I expected the restrooms to be regularly checked and properly maintained. I brought these concerns to management and followed up with two emails in hopes that the issue would be addressed. Unfortunately, I never received any response. The lack of communication was just as disappointing as the condition of the facilities. A clean restroom is a basic requirement during any events. When you're paying a lot of money to host an important celebration, cleanliness and customer service is important!!!

All of my guest were super uncomfortable it was embarrassing for me as a host to have everyone come to a party where it is almost 90 degrees inside. To top it off there was about 3 other parties & only ONE party host (employee) to help with all 4 parties. My party started at 4 I had guest who had arrived already & we're all waiting around for the kids game cards. We did not receive our game cards till about 420 bc the party host was super busy helping the other parties, getting anything took forever. Our party ran out of water & I asked for the water jug to be refilled & it took about 20 minutes to have refilled. I felt bad for the party host he was doing the best that he could, super unprofessional on management to not have more staff help with all of the parties they had booked. The employee that was explaining the laser tag rules was super RUDE, he asked do we have any birthdays today my 7 year old raised her hand & said me & the employee rudely goes we know it's your birthday. HOW RUDE! Why even ask that then. I was told this by multiple guests. The restroom disgusting! No soap just hand sanitizer. The laser tag room was even hotter. All of my guest came out dripping sweat that most of them didn't want to do the next round bc of how hot & uncomfortable everyone was. Super disappointing and embarrassing. The whole point of me booking a party was so that my guest would be inside and not hot during this summer heat wave. WOULD NEVER BOOK A PARTY OR COME HERE AGAIN.

Hands down, without a doubt, best bowling alley food I've ever had in my existence. I'll start with the pizza because pizza is my favorite food. I was hesitant because I was at a bowling alley and I guess I've never had good food at a bowling alley until now. But when I looked around at all the pizza being served to different tables I just had to try it. I ordered the pepperoni pizza, and honestly it was sublime. I loved it. It was thin, crispy crust, good sauce, good cheese, good pepperoni. I devoured it. This pizza is better than most pizzas. I enjoyed it just as much as I have enjoyed Wildcrust, possibly enjoyed it more. Simply put, Highland Park Bowl makes a great pizza. Also got the calamari. Truly didn't have high expectations, maybe because I was at a bowling alley, but this calamari was shockingly good to me. Way better than expected, and would 100% order it again the next time I'm here. Additionally it was a pretty good sized portion. My wife ordered the burger and fries. She loved it. I tried it. I loved it. Fries were amazing. Would order it again for sure. The ambience is very cool. Had no idea this place has been around for like a century. Loved the vintage feel. So much character. Staff were super friendly. Although I think they may have been short staffed when we went. It seemed like there was only one server taking care of the whole place. She was really nice though and our food came out surprisingly quick. Came at 5:30pm on a Thursday and parked on the street right out front. Street parking is 1hr up until 8pm I believe. We were in and out of there in less than an hour. I timed it haha. Loved coming here and will be back sometime!

It seems like the complaints and positives are pretty consistent and accurate. The bad: The woman working the front reservations desk was notably unfriendly and unwelcoming, with a negative energy right off the bat. She seemed weirdly annoyed at the presence of customers. And this was at the beginning of the day. I can only imagine what it's like at peak evening hours. There's a total of 8 lanes. We were surprised to find there's a strict one hour limit for lanes unless there's no one else waiting. It would have been helpful if they posted this on their website. A countdown started at 30 minutes left and was displayed on the score screen. The really weird part was at about 10 minutes left, our scores disappeared and never came back. We were still able to play but it was not cool that our whole game's scores were just gone. The time limit made us feel very rushed, which was especially awkward because we ordered food and drinks. The good: As many have said, the best thing about Highland Park Bowl is the beautiful vintage interior design and cool history. There's a lot of impressive detailing and it's fun just walking into the space. We thought the food and drinks were pretty good. We got Pesto Genovese and Contadina pizzas, Calamari, and some cocktails. Though I'm glad to have checked it out, unfortunately with the customer service issues, I was left with a negative feeling and would hesitate to come back.
