I grew up in San Marcos, so this place will always be Eagle Bowl to me even though it was Bowlero before becoming Lucky Strike Gone are the glorious days of $2 bowling, but the glow-up is real. The place looks great, and if you book two lanes, you get a semi-private booth that makes you feel way more VIP than your bowling score probably deserves. One thing to know: the no outside food or drink policy is enforced with the enthusiasm of airport security. I'm talking employee walking around checking to see if anyone is eating or drinking anything that wasn't ordered on-site. Don't even think about bringing in your emotional support water bottle. The funny part is they have tablets at every booth so you can order without bothering anyone...except our server wanted us to order directly through them anyway. So the tablet mostly served as a high-tech menu. We had a great time. The atmosphere is lively, the setup is awesome for groups, and I'd happily come back--just hydrated in advance. read more

He recommended Don Julio 1942 tequila without any info of the charge. The drink wasn't listed on their menu. When our bill arrived the drinks were $40.50 and $38.50 along with our food! We were shocked and felt ripped off! I've never paid $40 for a Margarita! We discussed with assistant manager and all he did after 2 conversations was credit us for a couple apps. I've been here several times now but yesterday left a bad taste in my mouth after our experience. I came here with my friend and our kids. They have a no outside food/drink policy which is fine, but one employee came up to my table and rudely told me I needed to tell my friend to put her water bottle in her car or throw it away. Maybe five minutes later, two older women sat down at the bar directly in front of another employee with their large hydro flasks and nobody said anything. This same rude employee also walked by them several times, but did not tell them to put theirs away. When I received the text our lane was "almost" ready, I walked up to the desk to ask if that meant it actually was or if we needed to wait longer. Unfortunately it was the same rude man I had the displeasure of speaking to and he rudely told me, "Your lane IS ready, we just send it as a courtesy." How am I supposed to know if my name was never called and the language from the text was misleading? I got everyone's shoe sizes and ended up having to exchange two pairs. When I went back up to the desk, I tried talking to another employee and apologized but I'd forgotten which lane number we'd been assigned. He asked the rude employee which lane and the rude employee sighed and said "she already forgot?" What kind of customer service is that?? Let alone who talks to another person like that while on the clock? I'd already paid for everything and didn't want to disappoint the kids so I gritted my teeth and walked away. The rest of bowling was fine and went without issue. Towards the end of our bowling time, a very kind employee, I believe he was the new manager on the clock, came over and asked if everything was okay and if we needed anything. He made our experience better, but we were already annoyed from the first rude man. Lucky Strike itself is a very nice alley complete with a bar and two arcade areas. The bathrooms are super clean and MOST of the employees are super kind. They definitely work hard to keep the facility clean. Overall, our experience was slightly ruined by the rude man up front. Unfortunately I did not catch his name but he was slightly balding and maybe Latino? If we do go back, I will be mentioning this to whoever the manager on duty is. read more

Had a great time bowling here and food was top notch. We didn't reserve lanes but was able to sneak in late afternoon on a Saturday. Lanes were well maintained and we used house shoes and balls. Only strange thing was so many balls are just stored under the ball holders by the lane versus behind the lanes. However many were double drilled for different sized fingers. Space is a little tight when both sides of the lane is being used so you do have to squeeze by each other a lot between the two areas. Table is kinda small. There is more space behind the lanes as well with some extra surfaces to hold drinks and food. Food was epic - literally best I've had at any bowling alley. We ordered the buffalo chicken quesadillas and the appetizer platter. Everything on the platter was tasty especially the chicken. Huge menu, good portions. Drinks were nice and cold. This is a great venue for a bowling party. They have a good website to reserve lanes and purchase party packages. The service is friendly, helpful and we had a great experience here. Each manager and team member introduced themselves and tried to help out. It's normally a bit pricey but there's was a summer special that's about $20pp. There are sampler plates and they let you bring in cake and decorations. The bathrooms need a little cleaning but the rest of the facilities were clean and tidy. There are arcades and air hockey. We will be back! read more

Had a great time bowling with the kids. Everything looks clean and well maintained. Lanes worked great and we had no problems. Everybody was helpful and friendly. Kids also enjoyed the Arcade. This place has revamped since the last time I have been there. Normally I expect a dingy, moist, musty atmosphere, that smells like old lane oil, stale beer and old well-worn shoes. This place was pretty immaculate; the staff here was friendly even though the line was out the door, it was Friday the 13th and they had stickers which were awesome. The place has had a major revamp. Our favorite bowling alley Bowlero is now Lucky Strike. With the recent rain, we needed to celebrate my birthday indoors. So we tried getting two lanes on Sat - sold out; we walked-in at 11am on Sunday & got the last two lanes - crazy busy place on the weekend. We could have reserved lanes online - highly recommended- but I bought two Groupons which are great price-wise but prevent you from reserving a lane. 9 of us bowled for 2hrs & we had a great time. The on-demand bumper system is wonderful. Football was on tvs above the pins so we weren't missing the Chargers game. The lane with 5 bowlers needed an extra 5mins to finished the 10th frame but they were kind enough to give us time even though the lane was reserved. read more

My friends and I were in the area and someone suggested we go bowling and wow, this was the nicest bowling alley I've ever been in! Everything was new, there were plenty of lanes, bowling balls, and the seats were comfy. Although the bowling balls seemed to be on string as to probably make it easier to reset but I feel like that worked in a disadvantage cause when it would almost tip over I feel like the string wouldn't allow it. Giant hidden fancy bowling alley? Check. It's located where Bowlero used to be (and, I think the parent company owns both Bowleros and Lucky Strikes across the country). Blink while you're driving by and you might miss it. Whoever designed the buildings and parking areas in this location needs to answer a few questions and/or share what they were smoking. Fortunately, there is plenty of parking here. I highly recommend making a reservation online beforehand but you can walk in and try and get a lane without one. And, if you didn't already know, Lucky Strikes aren't cheap. Our check in at the shoe rental shop was very smooth. Incidentally, the shoes we received seemed pretty new and were very comfortable. That's a first for me at any bowling alley ever. There was uptempo music playing the entire time and huge TV screens playing everywhere. The balls appeared to be very new. Everything appeared to be very new. There were lots of group parties going on and it does seem like the kind of place you might go for a group party. We didn't try any of the food or drinks but most of the food we saw (other than the pizza) looked good. We had a good time and would happily return. read more

This is one of the cleanest bowling alleys I have ever been to. There are a lot of lanes, and the technology they use makes it super easy to set whether you are left or right handed and whether each bowler wants bumpers or not. Even the bowling balls have two sets of hand holes each, so you can select between a smaller or larger hand size on the same ball, reducing the number of balls needed. And the ball return is very fast--really no waiting at all. My son, husband, and I played just one game, and I want to come back. Kudos on the Velcro shoes, too. Really disappointing experience. We were overcharged compared to the prices listed online, with no explanation at the venue. When I called to speak with a manager, they were dismissive and didn't address the issue--just insisted pricing is "fixed," which contradicts what's shown online. My Husband and I hosted a party in the bowling alley last year. The party was a blast, everything went great. The manger Kristy (spelling) she's awesome. We went in last Saturday (3/7) afternoon to have a cocktail it's been a while since we've been in there. When we got our check for 2 Ketel one vodkas we were shocked at the price $32 !! We could not believe it. That is a ridiculous we are not downtown, the ballpark or a tourist spot, just a bowling alley. If they are going to charge that much for drinks the bartenders should have some kind of a personally. NO smile, NO how are you, NO conversation, nothing except he did smile when he gave us our check. A lot of young servers today think they are entitled to a tip NO you are not you have to earn it. We had a blast ! Celebrated my son's graduation here they had a package deal. Which came with shoe rentals, arcade cards and 2 unlimited entrees, choice of fries or tater tots, and 2 pitchers of drinks for 12 people for like $460. The service was slow but she was busy. Great birthday destination kid afternoon place. For experienced bowlers not so much - at least for open play. EVERY TIME we go people are placed next to us who have no clue about bowling rules. I have spoken to people at the desk about it. A SIMPLE VERY VISIBLE SIGN in the front when people are signing in with a few BASIC rules about polite bowling would be helpful. Having people on both sides of us popping up to bowl when we are already there and/or already on approach is very annoying. And parents standing in the front of the lane with their child for 5 minutes when trying to bowl doesn't help either. I've also had people take my personal ball out of the rack. Bowling was great but servers were pretty slow. Wanted wings but the tablet card reader was out of service so we tried flagging down a server for like 15 mins. Put in the order, then 20 mins go by and the server came around to say they accidentally dropped them off at the wrong table and are getting us fresh ones. We played two games of bowling and they never bothered checking on our table when we'd request on the tablet to have a server swing by and when they finally did, we were 3 turns away from finishing our second game so we didnt feel like waiting around for wings again. It was either an understaffing issue (which i totally get although management needs to get on that if thats the case) or the severs really need to pay attention to when the lanes are requesting for their help. read more

They said those were all for reservations at starting at 1, half an hour would have been more than enough for the one game I wanted to play with my little kids but "they can't do that". What? We had a rowdy 10 year old birthday party and she was so understanding, kind and wonderful. She made sure we were well taken care of and was so gracious. From the moment we walked in, to the minute we left, unbelievable service! I showed up with balloons, cupcakes and gift bags, sat back and enjoyed... nothing else. The experience overall was unprofessional and inhospitable. Our group waited 20-30 minutes for a lane malfunction which is understandable, however, the staff didn't really seem to care about our experience. They did give us a refund for the 2nd game, but the staff made unprofessional comments because we stayed til the end. Those comments made my sister who is 7 months pregnant uncomfortable and it ultimately made me upset and disappointed with this establishment. They told us multiple times a mechanic was on the way, but they ultimately had us switch lanes. The lane they made us switch too hadn't been cleaned from the previous guests so we had a table full of empty glasses and empty trays of food. I also work in the hospitality industry and know what it takes to keep guests happy. Management needs to refresh on what hospitality means and how to treat their guests. The bartender and the gentleman working the counter at the front are the only people not subject to this review. Please do better. read more

I never post reviews on here but this situation has me really upset. To give some backstory, A group of 6( including me) arrived at 8:45pm, we paid for two games. The lane malfunctioned and we were stuck waiting for staff for about 20 minutes after asking 4 times for assistance. Granted we understand it's close to closing(10pm), but on our last game we only had 3 turns each( easily doable in those 20 minutes of waiting). As soon as 9:55pm hit multiple staff members came to let us know the alley was closing with very rude tones. At the 10pm mark, the staff member who came to clean up was whispering under their breath "just go home shit, damn" right in front of us, which included our 7 months pregnant member. It was rude and upsetting since they had us waiting there for a whole 20 minutes. Just an upsetting situation, won't come back while these new owners are here. read more

I recommend making reservations online before hand it gets super packed. I luckily made them today and got a spot for 530pm it was a bit crowded but def makes it little more fun. The staff was great even thou they had to run around dealing with everyone me each lane they all had a smile which is what you want to see especially if they get those bad customers , bowled for two hours and had a blast. Pro tip is do not reserve online because they charge a lot more. Instead just go in.
