Absolutely loved Crazy Pizza in East Hampton. The atmosphere is lively without feeling overdone,…read morethe service was warm and attentive, and the food was genuinely excellent. Importantly, this is not the place for people expecting traditional, heavy pizza. These are lighter, roughly 500-calorie pizzas with some of the thinnest crust I've ever had. Personally, I love that because it feels clean and doesn't leave you feeling weighed down. But it's worth knowing going in that this is not deep dish or a traditional NY-style thick crust. That said, if you like ultra-thin, crisp, flavorful pizza with great ingredients, it really delivers. It has that rare mix of being fun, polished, and still relaxed enough for a casual night out. Great spot for dinner with friends, date night, or bringing people from out of town who want something that feels very East Hampton but not stuffy. Definitely one of the better dining experiences I've had out east. Will absolutely be back.

It's CRAZY HOW BAD IT IS!!! This place is CRAZY FAST with barren pizzas. I felt so rushed. Each…read morecourse came in under 10 minutes and usually while we were attempting to enjoy the prior course. Despite us trying to nicely ask them multiple times to not rush us and let us enjoy our food, that seemed like a foreign concept to them. They would clear the table while people were still eating every single course. We even told them at the beginning of the meal that we are here to enjoy our meal and not in a rush. They did the same to the other tables too. They had the audacity to yell at us that they were rushing us "Because [they] care." Seems pretty weird to IGNORE a customer request to do what you want "because you care". Ridiculous! The service is terrible. It could've been great had they not tried to rush us and forgot some of our order. 2/5 Even after we confronted them to slow down multiple times, nothing changed. The salads and chicken dishes were decent but the portion sizes were very small compared to any other Italian spot. 3/5 the Chicken dishes were solid. The ambiance is ok. The tables are tight together and they don't tell you but the DJ only comes on at 9pm. If you're there before they just blast music so you can't talk to your friends. If there was dancing it would be acceptable but there isn't. Speaking of pizza, this place is extremely lacking on their pizza. Hardly any toppings and mostly just a cracker bread. 1/5. BRINGS SHAME TO PIZZA. The bread wasn't even great either. It felt like we were fed crackers with a light dusting of toppings on COLD PIZZA!!!! The pasta was the best thing here 3/5 (the small size prevents it from getting a better score. The drinks were overpriced but good. 4/5 This place is a COMPLETE DUD and will not last out here. People come to dine or party, not to be rushed out of a place without a party.

Topping Rose House, Bridgehampton: Culinary Highs and Service Lows…read moreRating: (Food: 9.5 | Service: 6) Topping Rose House remains a bit of a Bridgehampton enigma. As a spot we find ourselves returning to a couple of times a year, the kitchen continues to operate at a gold standard, even when the front-of-house seems to be stuck in a bit of a fog. The Food: A Seasonal Symphony If you are coming strictly for the palate, you will not be disappointed. The freshness of the ingredients is palpable: * Oysters: These were pristine--served icy cold and exceptionally fresh. The mignonette was the standout here; perfectly balanced and bright, it elevated the oysters rather than masking them. * Pea Soup: This was a revelation. It tasted as if the peas had been picked just yesterday; it was vibrant, "green," and utterly delightful. * Lobster Roll: While it was admittedly small in stature (especially for the price point), the execution was flawless. It was bright, crunchy, and avoided the heavy mayo-trap that many local spots fall into. The Service: A Comedy of Errors Unfortunately, the gap between the kitchen and the dining room was wide during this visit. While our waitress was personally lovely, the actual mechanics of the service were incredibly frustrated: * Timing Issues: We were offered bread at the start of the meal, yet it didn't grace the table until we were finished eating. * The Water Gap: Our sparkling water sat empty for far too long. Refills were offered, but like the bread, they arrived only after the meal had concluded. * Lack of Proactivity: There was no offer for drink refills throughout the courses. * Accountability: Most disappointing was the lack of acknowledgment. Mistakes happen, but a simple "I'm so sorry for the delay" goes a long way. Instead, the lapses were never addressed or accounted for. The Verdict: Topping Rose House serves some of the most phenomenal, fresh food in the Hamptons. However, when you're paying Bridgehampton prices, you expect the service to match the caliber of the kitchen. We'll likely be back because the pea soup and oysters are hard to quit, but we'll be crossing our fingers for a more attentive experience next time. mi

Beautiful ambiance, but food is mid and service needs improvement!…read more Ambiance & Service: the garden space is gorgeous! Perfect for lunch on a beautiful day. Service was poor - it took an hour to get our iced coffees. Food: Kale Salad: Simple, but tasty! Nothing out of the ordinary but I liked the addition of the chilis. For $23, it's incredibly overpriced. Fries: Crunchy and salty! No complaints!

We started with the chopped salad which was the best part of the meal. Great dressing and enough for 4. My husband and I counted on splitting the penne bolognese. We were shocked when it arrived at the table. It was a portion for one at best. Pasta was a bit overcooked and the bolognese was not a rich tasting sauce. My friend had the salmon- again enough for one NOT FAMILY SIZE PORTION. Our other friend had veal marsala. It was a bit tough. Not family style portion. The food was at best fair. We all took a good look around deciding not to return. Ambiance was OK- noise level was to a level where we could barely hear each other talk to one another and hear what the other was saying.

Contrary to what you may have heard, the portions are not "family style" like Carmine's. Carmine's entrees can feed a Family. A&S entrees...a Family needs to chip in to cover $35 for pasta w olive oil and garlic. Went in w high expectations which lead to extreme disappointment. I could go on. Suffice to say, nothing was good. Service is like Italian Restaurant Summer Camp. The Campers are not good servers. The food is lousy, but hey at least it's expensive! This is The Hamptons after all. I absolutely, positively have had better meals at Olive Garden and I don't feel good about having eaten at Olive Garden. Avoid.
