I've already reviewed this restaurant and there has not been much of a change. For plenty of detail check out previous reviews. Today we tried the baked clams and they were delicious--tons of tasty garlic and delectable chunks of clams! We also sat near the front by the open accordion doors--the sound and noise was not nearly as bad as prior visits.

Another great meal ... lunch ... in the Hamptons. Seated promptly (reservation was helpful). Crowded inside, but comfortable. Server was excellent; all staff were friendly and efficient. The food? Delicious. Clams on the half-shell a nice start. But, the linguine with mussels and clams ... wow! Fantastic dish. Loaded with fresh tasying mussels, whole clams, and chopped clams, and the pasta was tasty too. My wife and our friends enjoyed their fishes too. Really good lunch!

Good food with mediocre service. We had our drink orders screwed up multiple times. They brought our main course without bringing forks after taking away our forks with the appetizers. I asked for a beer and they brought me an iced tea. After repeating my beer order, he said he remembered me ordering a beer. Then I repeated my beer order and the waiter said they didn't have that beer. How is it you can remember a customer ordering a beer and then not bring a beer... I am so perplexed. The Chili Calamari was fantastic. 5/5 The Sirloin steak was pretty good.

We had a nice dinner here on Sunday night. I had the French Dip sandwich and it was delicious. It tasted like French Onion Soup on a sandwich. The bread was crunchy. So it's definitely need the "jus". The Jus was quite tasty and not too salty. I would recommend. My friend had the Surf & Turf, which he enjoyed. The steak was cooked perfectly, as it should be since Bobby Vans is known for their steaks. My girlfriend had the Chicken Milanese. She said it was just OK. The breast needed to be pounded a little thinner. It looked like a big thick chicken breast. Not at all appetizing looking but I would probably not have ordered chicken at a steakhouse. Service was great. Overall, it was a very nice experience. I would come back. I hope the chef revisits the chicken preparation. I've had this type of chicken at any number of restaurants and La Parma probably does it best. If the manager happens to read this review, check out La Parma's version of it and bring it to BVs.

I've been to Bobby Vans in the past and was not wowed by my dining experience. This recent Friday evening dinner was much more satisfying. We started with the clams casino which was good. Not great. The shaved Brussel sprouts salad was soo tasty. I was very happy with this dish. We also ordered the fried calamari. Nothing spectacular but I did enjoy the crispyness of the calamari. The Porterhouse for 2 was cooked perfectly. Seared on the outside and slightly pink on inside & added a side order of whipped potatoes. Our waiter was very attentive and the food came out quickly although the restaurant was busy. I'd definitely visit again.

I enjoyed my experience at this restaurant Bobby Van's steakhouse with my hubby. I had a delish egg Omelette with tomatoes, feta and spinach. All the ingredients were fresh that blended well with the eggs. The home fries were all fresh with delightful seasonings. Of coarse I had a delightful ice coffee with that kick I needed to hang out for the day. My husband said his Philly steak was amazing it full of flavor not greasy extremely yummy for the tummy. He added his fries were crispy made with perfection. The service at the establishment was excellent the outdoor dining experience was very positive.

Contrary to what you may have heard, the portions are not "family style" like Carmine's. Carmine's entrees can feed a Family. Suffice to say, nothing was good. Service is like Italian Restaurant Summer Camp. The Campers are not good servers. The food is lousy, but hey at least it's expensive! This is The Hamptons after all. Topping Rose House, Bridgehampton: Culinary Highs and Service Lows…read moreRating: (Food: 9.5 | Service: 6) Topping Rose House remains a bit of a Bridgehampton enigma. As a spot we find ourselves returning to a couple of times a year, the kitchen continues to operate at a gold standard, even when the front-of-house seems to be stuck in a bit of a fog. The Food: A Seasonal Symphony If you are coming strictly for the palate, you will not be disappointed. The freshness of the ingredients is palpable: * Oysters: These were pristine--served icy cold and exceptionally fresh. The mignonette was the standout here; perfectly balanced and bright, it elevated the oysters rather than masking them. * Pea Soup: This was a revelation. It tasted as if the peas had been picked just yesterday; it was vibrant, "green," and utterly delightful. * Lobster Roll: While it was admittedly small in stature (especially for the price point), the execution was flawless. It was bright, crunchy, and avoided the heavy mayo-trap that many local spots fall into. The Service: A Comedy of Errors Unfortunately, the gap between the kitchen and the dining room was wide during this visit. While our waitress was personally lovely, the actual mechanics of the service were incredibly frustrated: * Timing Issues: We were offered bread at the start of the meal, yet it didn't grace the table until we were finished eating. * The Water Gap: Our sparkling water sat empty for far too long. Refills were offered, but like the bread, they arrived only after the meal had concluded. * Lack of Proactivity: There was no offer for drink refills throughout the courses. * Accountability: Most disappointing was the lack of acknowledgment. Mistakes happen, but a simple "I'm so sorry for the delay" goes a long way. Instead, the lapses were never addressed or accounted for. The Verdict: Topping Rose House serves some of the most phenomenal, fresh food in the Hamptons. However, when you're paying Bridgehampton prices, you expect the service to match the caliber of the kitchen. We'll likely be back because the pea soup and oysters are hard to quit, but we'll be crossing our fingers for a more attentive experience next time. mi

A few weeks ago,we make an early reservation because we had our toddler grandson with us. We arrive at an empty restaurant and are shown a table on the patio on the pool side next to a busing station. I expressed my displeasure and ask to move to the lawn area. There was not another customer in the lawn area I requested. I was told all of the tables in this empty restaurant are committed. We did make a reservation a week in advance. When I went back and spoke to the hostess again (the one with the blond hair), I was again told there is nothing that can be done to move us. The manager overheard and interjected that of course we could have another table. Tonight, we are 7 people. We are shown a table that would seat 4 comfortably inside in an empty dining room. I told the hostess I was unhappy with the table because we actually couldn't all fit. I was again told (by the hostess with the brown hair after being seated by the hostess from our prior visit) there was nothing they could do because all of the tables were committed. It was AN EMPTY DINING ROOM at this point. I told her we couldn't stay if this was are only choice of tables and was again told there was nothing that could be done. Unbelievable, but true. I then pointed to an empty table with a box on it in the corner and told her that she should put the box on the floor and move that table to ours so we could all fit. Her answer "I will see if that is possible". Mind you, a martini is $28 and French fries are $16 and they couldn't care less if a year round customer stays or not. Clearly my last visit to this restaurant but seriously disgraceful. I will say the waitstaff are always wonderful. The food is fine, duck was terrible. It's a shame that the hostesses are a group of mean, unprofessional kids.

First of all, we thought that the brisket was probably one of the best briskets ever. The bark was thick. It was like a 16th of an inch, maybe a 32nd of an inch bar and there was a prominent smoke ring. The bark was seasoned just perfectly and the smoke flavor--combined--the flavor was on load from God. You did not need any sauce to augment the flavor, but the spicy BBQ sauce was delicious too with pleasant gustatory resonating notes of onion. The chicken--well, that's always a challenge for both home cooks and restaurant chefs--dry white parts is as old is the day is long. If you want some cooking tricks, send me a message on Yelp and I can clue you in. Here though--they nailed it. The skin was crispy, seasoned perfectly, and toothsome but the star of the show was clearly the meat itself, and it was very very moist, a nice hint of smoky flavor and very flavorful. The ribs were also delicious--like the brisket--no sauce needed...prominent smoke ring, moist and tender. The were not fall off the bone but this neither detracted from the taste nor flavor, nor experience. In some ways it made it easier to eat. I could not tell if they left the underside membrane on--but if they did, that would be ok, and to the extent if helped with give the ribs structure--hallelujah. The ribs were so good, I was tempted to bring some home and nurse their consumption over a few days. The French fries were ok--- average, but pleasantly crisp. If I had a recommendation it would be to offer baked potatoes and then charge extra for stuffing it with brisket, pulled chicken, pulled pork, or just plain.
