Tried this place our last night in Corolla. Decent pizza place for sure. Was very impressed from phone call to delivery.

We ordered from Lucky after ensuring a nearly 6 hour drive from Northern Virginia. The chicken parm sub was delicious. The fries were undercooked and raw. Unacceptable, the other food (pizza, cheesesteaks) was good. We also called and waited nearly 2 hours for our food to be delivered. If you are going to advertise delivery, even going though a 3rd party you need to deliver on it. read more

Yes, I traveled from NYC to North Carolina, and ordered pizza once I was there. I'm not proud. But at least this was better than the Tomato Patch. Ordered a regular pie, a small veggie one, and some wings (half BBQ, half garlic parmesan). The BBQ wings were way too sweet. Not really BBQ at all, but still alright. The pizzas were fine. Edible. This pizza was so delicious we decided to order twice during our stay. We tried the white pizza with chicken and spinach, regular, and a Hawaiian. You can't go wrong. I highly recommend checking your order before leaving. We ordered a pepperoni and a cheese for one order and we got two cheese. Started out good when it opened but last couple stops left something to be desired. The pizza is ok. And the other items on the menu look good. Not overly friendly. We order Hawaiian pizza, meat lovers pizza, and a pepperoni pizza. We also ordered bbq wings. Our pizzas were excellent! We only got a couple of pepperoni pizzas from Lucky but it was a great experience and the pizza, while nothing mind blowing, was definitely delicious and above average--especially in Corolla! I think the pizza was a little higher in price than it probably should be for one topping, but it was really delicious pizza that I was more than pleased with. The staff, too, was great. One thing I want to mention is that I tried to order online and for whatever reason it wouldn't let me check out. Went there on a Sunday holiday weekend during the summer. It was 8:00 in the evening & place doesn't close until 9:00. As soon as we walked in the young woman manager says "We're not taking anymore orders". What?!?!! It was a whole hour before closing. This would never happen in my town. Hello all welcome back. Feels good to be back serving the community for the 4th year running. Luckys pizza lives up to its name. You have to be really lucky to find some decent pizza here. The taste was average but can't tell if that is because we are all hungry with the Drive down dilemma. Which is you can't decide between good and bad food because of you hunger. Now the size is a mix between giant slice pizza and blaze pizza Which is a major flaw. The salad can't complain tasted like ruffage so all good there. You might need to order 2 pies per person to feed a family. In conclusion this is a tough review to do some would say this could be an off game. The reason for his because the last thing I ate before this was a subway sandwich somewhere in Asheville Virginia at like 11am. The pizza was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend. I placed an order at 5:00 and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. I picked up my order right on time and it was fresh and ready. Pizza was very greasy (but good flavor). Greek salad had too little lettuce and too much cheese, olives, peppers. Girl at the counter recommended the cheesy bread which appeared to just be a small cheese pizza with the sauce on the side. Again, lots of grease/oil . We ended up needing dinner in a pinch one night while vacationing in OBX and Lucky's really came through for us. The pizza was thin crust style (my favorite) and even though we had a large order, it was ready to be picked up in under 30 minutes. The pizza was great, only reason I couldn't give a 5 was because of the wings. We asked for 2 dozen hot, but they came dry and it looked like all 24 of them were shaken in about a tablespoon of hot sauce. read more

Corolla's best pizza! This is a basic pizza shop with high quality ingredients and a nice staff. Their pizza is a pitch perfect New York style. We loved that they pile on the cheese and that it's a really high quality tasting cheese, possibly a provolone-mozzarella blend, super tasty and salty (in a good way). Sauce is good, not too sweet, which I love. Crust is perfect New York style that's both crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. We ordered carry out and it came to us fast and delicious and the driver was so friendly, she is from Ohio and saw our license plates and she chatted with us for a bit. It was a great meal on our first night! We got a pepperoni pizza and a cheese pizza, slices were big and filling, you only need 1-2 pieces. We also ordered the garlic-cheese bread, omg, it was amazing, more of that amazing good quality cheese they use! They sell other stuff too but we just had the pizzas. I was very disappointed with the pizzas we ordered. First, they were late. Not like it was a busy time of day. Second, the pizzas look like the guy dropped or tipped the boxes because the sauce and cheese were all over the corners of the boxes. Lastly, the flavor of the sauce and overall flavor was just blah, nothing great and definitely not worth ordering again!
