We have an older model hot tub that needed a motor/pump replacement. I found Lucky's on my Yellow pages app. Eric, the owner, is very friendly, knowledgable, and honest. My phone calls were answered in a reasonable amount of time, and he was on time with the appointments made to first evaluate, and then for the actual repair & installation of the motor. I'm a small business owner too, and I wouldn't dream of making an appointment to meet a client two weeks out then cancel the day of AFTER the service window began, only to call and say they won't be out "because its raining". REALLY? Don't you guys confirm the day before, or even check the weather report? I inherited a pool with a new house I bought in March. I didn't know anything at all about pools, chemical balance, cleaning, etc. I went in to Lucky's and they were very, very helpful. Went through the basics and I never felt overwhelmed. I bought a basic pool test kit and some chlorine and off I went. I was very happy with my experience here. There is a recent review where someone bought a pool cover but they were unhappy with the results. I also had to buy pool cover because my heater did not work and I have to say the cover works great. It wasn't super hot but definitely very comfortable enough to swim in. I hope that other reviewer understands the covers do work. Back to my review about this place, the customer service and friendliness of the staff is what keeps me coming back. It's too bad more stores do not have this same level of service. I can't give 5 stars only because I haven't used his services. However, I give 4 because if I ever decided to get a hot tub or pool or know someone with one I'd recommend his services. Originally I went in thinking they sold hot tubs because it came up on my Google search. I bought a place with a hot tub and was thinking about replacing it but knew nothing about them. My dad and I went around to various hot tub places looking at models and getting little information from the sales people. In Luckys, even though he didn't have any hot tubs I decided to ask Eric some questions since he worked on many. The real cost of ownership is in the maintenance, and he was the expert. Eric's wealth of knowledge on the different brands, models and overall care of them was exactly what I needed to hear. In the end I decided not to buy a hot tub and will use the space for entertaining but I thank Google for misdirecting me as they (it is a family business) were the people I needed to talk to to make such a costly decision. Maybe I'll get a kiddie pool from him instead or other water toys that they carry. read more

Drive it all the time, never seen a pool supply store, but then I wasn't looking...now I am...six passes later, I'm mad, ready to go home, I cant find the damn place and then, oh, there it is, not looking like a pool supply store either. Once I got inside my anger faded away, smoothed to a calm state of relaxation. No guys, it wasn't the interior, which is nothing to wright home about. I bought a pool cover that was supposed to heat my pool. Laura guaranteed with " put the cover the night before and the next day the pool will be hot the next day.It has been a whole week and we have had nice weather so that my pool can heat up. The cover cost me $60 and now she says she can't refund my money. I'm so dissatisfied and disappointed as a specialist in pool products, we(consumers ) trust you with saying the truth about your products. BUT I hope those $60 dollars services you well because to me it's the worst money I have spend. read more

Eric is the best spa tech I have ever encountered. He suggested things I could check and save a service call unfortunately my problem was a broken pump. Another company suggested a much more extensive repair which was unnecessary. After he fixed the pump he checked out the system and found another problem (this is an old spa) which could have caused another bad problem. Now my spa works like new. This was a great experience and they were extremely knowledgeable about my CalSpa. I would highly recommend this company. Also their costs was very reasonable. read more

We purchased a home with a pool many years ago and needed to upgrade the pump and heater. Eric came out to our home to see our existing equipment, make recommendations and give us a bid. He did a great job explaining what was needed and why. We can now control the pool and hot tub with a remote, life changing for us! Not only did we receive a much better price than we were expecting Eric did a great job installing the new equipment, he hauled the old equipment away. We are saving about $125 a month on our PG&E bill, just as Eric estimated! We have been so satisfied with Luckys Pool Center that we now purchase all of our pool supplies from them. I had another company come out and do a service call on my older Hot Tub. They recommended a " Maybe this will fix it for 900.00 and if that doesn't work then another 1100.00". I paid them there 125.00 and called the manufacturer of my hot tub and they recommended Luckys Pool Center. I talked with there service technician and he asked me a few questions about the symptoms. He came out the next day and now my hot tub was fixed for a fraction of the cost of the other guy. I can not say how happy I am with the service I received. read more

My spa started making a very loud noise everytime the jets turned on. I was familiar with Luckys because that's where I usually went to pick up supplies. When I first purchased the spa, Eric came over to show us how to use the test kit and the proper amount of chemicals to use to keep the spa in balance. So when the noise started, I called a couple of places and Luckys was the most reasonable priced and had the earliest availability. Eric came and diagnosed the problem which was a bad motor. Luckys ordered the new motor. Unfortunately, I was going to be out of town when the scheduled repair was to be done. Not a problem. Eric came anyway, replaced the motor and gave me a call to let me know it was done and everything seemed to be working fine. When I got home, I called them and gave them the payment info.
