Laura and Eric are the best in the business! Every time I call upon their expertise I am never disappointed. If you have questions about anything related to your pool or spa, they go above and beyond to understand your need and then explain the possible solutions to you. They know their stuff. My only regret is that Eric is always booked for weeks in advance, so don't wait if you need some work done. He's talked me through a project before though and I was able to resolve the problem. Last year the hubby and I decided to purchase an above ground pool. Everything was going good until we realized we had to treat it the same you would an in-ground pool. So we grabbed a plastic bottle filled it with pool water and brought it on down. The lady that works behind the counter is SO SUPER nice, honest, and she knows her pool stuff. They have lifetime customers with us. FYI pool tests are free of charge and she doesn't pressure you into buying things. read more

So first off, this is a family owned business. I believe it was also passed down from a generation or so, and the technician/owner guy. His name is Eric. He is incredibly personable him and my husband were out in the back just chatting away like they were best friends, and he is clearly not out to get anybody's money. He's out to help people get their hot tubs and their pools up to par and his prices are affordable! and for years, I've been using another Spa company who has charged me twice as much as he has and I will be shopping for all of my pool supplies at his store. Locally owned pool and spa supply store. I use to go to a chain store but they charge more and didn't always get the best advice. Laura and Eric are great people and will go the extra mile. I needed gaskets that were no longer available from manufacturer and they found some. They try their best to meet your needs. Had been using tablets and the stabilizer build up forced me to empty half the pool in a drought. They helped me get off the tablets and now using straight chlorine so there will no longer have a problem of too much stabilizer. Needed to replace my pump and was guided to a more efficient system that saves enough electricity to pay for it in a couple of years. Helpful, friendly, used by many pool professionals. read more

Our hot tub has multiple leakages recently. Eric visited and found the locations and repaired all of them on multiple visits. He also replaced a valve and the connected pipes that were leaking. All the other reviews are true, Eric and Laura are the most helpful and knowledgeable people out there if you have any pool related questions. I didn't hire any pool service companies to start up my new pool after replastering because Laura gave me detailed instructions and all the chemicals I needed. Eric recommended me to try Alcor Solar to heat my pool using thermal panels, and also recommended Pool Covers. I went with those recommendations and they don't disappoint. As a new home/pool owner with little to no knowledge about swimming pools, I honestly don't know where I would be without them. Luckily I found them at the beginning, 110% recommended. read more

I have a pool service , they are OK , when the pool requires anything more then chemicals or regular maintenance, I Go to Lucky's , Eric is extremely knowledgeable, the family run business is extremely friendly and go out of their way to help you. We have had our fair share of issues, if your a hobbyist and want to do it your self, or just want a one call does it for you they will work with you, Oh, I should mention I've asked for them to just come and do the whole service, but they are honest, and with integrity want to maintain those that provide that regular maintenance continue to do so maintaining a friendly relationship with others in the business. Back in 2016 my wife and I purchased a home with a pool. It was our first time ever owning a pool. I have just moved to a new home in Castro Valley which has solar panels to heat the pool and a keypad system in the house to control it. There was no documentation and I had no idea how to use the equipment. I emailed Lucky Pool Center as I had used them once to replace the heater in my former home and they did such an AWESOM job. I received and email back from Eric moments after I contacted him. He told me to send him some photos of my equipment and my number as he was not going out on calls during COVID. He called me and walked me through everything. I learned so much and can now work all my equipment -- with ease. I offered to pay him for his time and he said no as this is how he treats his customers. Eric his wife and their pool center is the best of the best! We have an older model hot tub that needed a motor/pump replacement. I found Lucky's on my Yellow pages app. Eric, the owner, is very friendly, knowledgable, and honest. My phone calls were answered in a reasonable amount of time, and he was on time with the appointments made to first evaluate, and then for the actual repair & installation of the motor. I inherited a pool with a new house I bought in March. I didn't know anything at all about pools, chemical balance, cleaning, etc. I went in to Lucky's and they were very, very helpful. Went through the basics and I never felt overwhelmed. I bought a basic pool test kit and some chlorine and off I went. I was very happy with my experience here. There is a recent review where someone bought a pool cover but they were unhappy with the results. I also had to buy pool cover because my heater did not work and I have to say the cover works great. It wasn't super hot but definitely very comfortable enough to swim in. I hope that other reviewer understands the covers do work. Back to my review about this place, the customer service and friendliness of the staff is what keeps me coming back. It's too bad more stores do not have this same level of service. Big recommendation for Lucky's! read more
