Lucy's Coffee House is a true community gathering place. It is beautifully decorated with the most comfortable seating we have experienced in any coffee shop in Metro Denver. There are large tables for groups to come together socially or for business. They offer free Wi-Fi. The seating in the back is very private. They played relaxing and calming music that was a pleasure to listen to while drinking delicious coffee and sitting in comfort. Hannah was our barista, and she was lovely! She is a kind and friendly person who took the time to explain how to make reservations for the Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony that can be scheduled on Saturdays or Sundays. The Yirgacheffe coffee was incredible, so smooth! It is from Ethiopia--the birthplace of coffee. The food menu is vegetarian (no meat served) The noise level was perfect, indoor seating is plentiful (no outdoor seating), and parking is plentiful in the lot in front. In the restroom, the toilet was a bidet. I wish the menu were in a larger font to make it easier to read. I feel coffee shops in general need ample storage to keep supplies and clutter out of sight of customers.

I was really excited to try this spot, although it kinda left me with cold feet. The menu was great, and the option to jazz your coffee up based off of the first letter of your name and your birth month was so cute. I ordered a caramel macchiato and chicken BLT with the chipotle sauce. She asked me how sweet i wanted my drink, I told her sweet but not too sweet. Well sweetness is subjective, and my drink wasn't sweet enough. The chicken BLT was super oily. I think they use a chipotle oil not a sauce because the sauce was negate to be found. It has a hint of sweetness and spice which I liked. The chicken was tender. The tomato was ripe and lettuce was fresh. Overall it was a pretty good sandwich except for the fact that they only gave me one slice of bacon and the oil made the bread soggy. I expected much more, and was pretty disappointed.

This coffee shop is a great spot to meet up with friends or bring your laptop to work. There is lots of seating and outlets and the music is chill. I had a chicken panini and it was delicious. There was only one person working for a lot of customers so the wait time was more than expected, but for me it was worth the wait.

What a gem of a coffee house! Not only was their farm to cup Ethiopian coffee absolutely amazing, and their food delicious (I had the Chechebsa which is essentially torn injera bread tossed in Ethiopian butter and berbere spices served with plain yogurt and honey to drizzle over it... best breakfast ever!) but the owner is so incredibly nice. He stopped by to let me know the best way of eating the chechesba and truly has so much pride for his establishment. Run, don't walk, to Lucy for the best cup of coffee in Aurora!

The ambiance was nice, bright, comfy, and clean. It was open and inviting, so room for groups. Plus, they did have a large group room in the back. Service was sweet, kind, and positive! I dropped my nepolian dessert (Oops ) and they refused to allow me to buy another one. I was given a replacement with a smile. The food was great. We shared a chicken panini, which was exploding with flavor! Totally recommend it! And a nepolian... the 2nd one! The espresso was strong and flavorful. Try the Ethiopia one! The sprice juice drink was very different, not sweet. It was drinking an avocado with mango. It took a minute, but it was enjoyable. Overall, yes, you should try this place! It's a treat.

This was our first visit to Lucy Coffee House and it won't be our last! The owners were so friendly and they definitely know their coffee. Their Ethiopian espresso is smooth, nutty, and delicious. The coffee shop is a large, open space with lots of comfortable seating. Highly recommended (although I'd like to see more gluten free snacks, and no up-charge on the alternative milk.) Lucy Coffee House is a must for coffee connoisseurs!

What a charming coffee shop! Love the Ethiopian culture and the coffee is fantastic. I ordered the Americano and then had to run to the bathroom lol the owner waited until I was back to pour me a hot cup! It's attention to detail and service like this that is hard to find. The shop is so bright and inviting the moment you walk in. You could tell there were regulars and everyone seemed so friendly. This is your sign to come in and try out the coffee if you're on the fence!

I had this Lucy coffee house on my bucket list and finally have been able to check it out. First walking in the open space is super inviting with plenty of seating. The space has woven in much of the Ethiopian heritage throughout the coffee house through the decor. Now the service was friendly and the owner of the shop Mickey is very kind and you can tell he is passionate about his shop and taking care of the customers. I got to try the teff chechebesas which was delicious! So much food with a side of yogurt and honey which was the perfect pairing! The sprice smoothie was so delicious and fresh! It was something I really haven't had before the ingredients are so fresh and the avocado taste is something to get use to but I love it! I highly recommend checking out this coffee shop and will add this spot to my rotation!

The menu is on the wall and hard to read so I asked the woman behind the counter if they had a paper menu, She rolled her eyes and pushed one across the counter like I was inconveniening her. I placed my order, and she told me to go find a table and the food would be out soon. As soon as I sat down, she came out and brought me my coffee. I asked for cream and sugar, and she said it was on the counter inside. It was a giant cup of coffee (which is awesome) but it was filled to the top. So I burned my hand when I spilled it, trying to get in sugar. By this time I was very frustrated. I went back to my table and my food came up almost immediately. The server was smiling and friendly. The food looked amazing and tasted even better. Iordered almond les leches french toast, cheese grits and bacon. The greats are okay, but nothing specia but the french toast was out of this world. It was thick, cut, smoked bacon that tasted fantastic. The server and the food saved this visit for me. I am going to assume that the woman at the counter was having a bad day and not let it keep me from coming back.

Not sure if you can make reservations, but the hubby and I walked-in without one. We chose to sit at the bar. We went for a late brunch knowing it would be busy on Mother's Day weekend, and were prepared to wait, but had been wanting to give it a try. As soon as we walked in we were ignored by the hostess for an unknown reason, however another girl saw and came over to seat us... great! We get it, it's busy so thought okay awesome we can get right in. She was the best part of our entire experience, probably the only person we encountered who seemed genuinely helpful and aware. We sat outside and the table was filthy. Okay... no biggie it can be cleaned. The server eventually comes over and takes our drink order. When she brings them they spill on the already dirty table, so I asked for some extra napkins and a wet towel to wipe the table if they have it... to which she replied "It'll evaporate." Then a few minutes later another girl came over and tossed two wet-naps on the table and walked away. Did not say a word... okay. Remember: I kindly asked for napkins lol and a wet towel *if possible*. At this point we were looking around for hidden cameras, surely this was a prank, right?????? We waited to see if maybe things could turn around... but it was downhill from the start. We ended up asking for the check for the drinks we had gotten to continue our day on a better note elsewhere. The waitress (who I'm not naming out of grace) had a horrible attitude and just walked away. She brought our check but no one came to take the payment... fine, we were finishing our drinks anyway. Oh! And one of the glasses we got for our drinks was dirty so we were just sharing one cup :) After some time I saw the manager who was cleaning up a table and seemed to wish he could avoid coming over and let him know what happened, he said "he'll take care of it". Then disappeared never to be seen again. So we waited and finally flagged down another person to take the payment so we could head out, we also let her know our experience was shocking to which she was defensive instead of interested. We finally left after an hour of this and went to a local fav and had a wonderful rest of our day-- they even wiped the table without us asking when we got there! We're super chill and I used to work in the restaurant business, so we tend to extend a lot of grace, but the service here was truly unacceptable and jarring. We almost took our parents here last week, so glad we didn't. Would NOT recommend, unfortunately. God bless! (Dirty cup and wet nap pictured )
