Susana is a wonderful and talented stylist. She was gently combing through my naturally curly hair when a manager (who had red-dyed hair) walked over and announced to Susana, as though I weren't sitting there, that they would be charging me an additional $15 for detangling. I would have had no issue with the fee had the manager simply spoken to me directly and explained it respectfully. Instead, she called it out across the shampoo area in a way that felt embarrassing, dismissive, and demeaning. Susana was apologetic and clearly uncomfortable with how the situation was handled. Unfortunately, this was not an isolated impression. The management at this location consistently seems unhappy and creates an unpleasant, "mean girl" atmosphere that affects the entire salon. The stylists are talented and do not deserve to work in that kind of environment. Drybar has built a strong brand around making clients feel welcomed and cared for. This location falls far short of that standard. I sincerely hope the company takes a closer look at its management and workplace culture before it drives away more loyal customers--and the talented stylists who deserve better.

When I requested a full refund because the service was not performed as agreed, I was offered only a partial refund. The owner later called me and said that even this partial refund was a "favor" because they normally don't issue refunds. She also made a point of telling me that she has a legal education, which I found particularly surprising considering her apparent lack of understanding of basic consumer protection principles when a paid service is not delivered as agreed. Very disappointing service and an even more disappointing response to a legitimate customer complaint.

I kinda miss the turn, so ended up parking on the street, but there is parking in the plaza lot that they are in. But otherwise there is plenty of street parking for free along Olive Avenue. Gabby is so sweet, and although I don't mind a heavy-handed Stylist, she is very gentle. The whole experience was very relaxing and satisfied with my end result. My only complaint and the reason I gave only four stars is, I didn't love the shampoo bowls. They don't have the rubber neck support in the bowls, and I just felt like I kept sliding down in the chair and it made me think too hard and not be able to enjoy the shampooing experience. I will definitely come back to see her on these days that I am feeling lazy. I just want to be pampered a little bit. I ended up having her flat iron as well. I work with my hands for a living, and my nails genuinely needed proper cleaning and prep before tips were applied. Instead, I found myself having to repeatedly ask for basic prep work while being made to feel uncomfortable for speaking up. The tips were then applied with excessive glue/product underneath the nails, leaving thick chunks underneath that make the nails difficult to properly clean. When I expressed concern, I was told the glue "had to be there" to make the nails strong. I have been getting my nails done for decades and have never had a technician argue with me for not wanting large globs of hardened glue underneath my nails. When I said I wanted to stop the service, I was told "let me fix it," but the issues were never actually corrected. The nail lengths and shapes were inconsistent, the filing/shaping was uneven, and there were visible imperfections, debris, and rough edges throughout the work. I also had concerns about sanitation. The UV lamp being used appeared dirty and damaged, and the drill/e-file bits looked visibly unclean between clients, which made me increasingly uncomfortable during the appointment. She paid close attention to every detail, especially my request to retain length, and was always transparent about how much she was cutting, which I really appreciated. She was also so easy to talk to and incredibly thoughtful, constantly checking in to make sure I was comfortable, whether that meant offering coffee or water or making sure nothing hurt. Her scalp massage while washing my hair felt heavenly and truly elevated the experience, making it feel so luxurious. In addition to her amazing work, the location itself was beautiful, clean, and such a lovely space to be in, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I absolutely loved my haircut, and Shannon made me feel beautiful not only through the cut itself but also through her kind compliments and care throughout the appointment.
