I did a quick search for a good local hair stylist and Tammy's name kept coming up. I called in and crossed my fingers for a same day appointment. When Tammy heard it was my birthday the next day she fit me in for that evening. When I went in she was so welcoming and listened to my idea for my hair. This was my first time here and had made an appointment with Carina. I arrived to my appt five minutes before my appt time and Carina was not there yet. After waiting around for about ten minutes I was advised that Carina was late and would be texting me. Tammy, the owner, is a master hair cutter and is so professional and kind, she takes the time to make sure that she understands what the client wants without pressure. She also provides realistic feedback about what is possible (based on your individual hair type, current style, etc.) and realistically what kind of styling/maintenance will be required to achieve the look if you bring in an inspo pic to copy. That level of communication is key - especially if you're looking for a major style change. I took my teen, and she felt like her opinion questions and concerns were heard and she appreciated the informative and collaborative nature of the appointment. Watching Tammy work was like watching an artist at work. But seeing my daughter's face afterwards admiring her new look and her added confidence was priceless. A safer salon for immunocompromised people! I was scrambling to find a stylist that would wear a mask after someone at another salon refused and I was left without a cut on valentines day, right before my birthday party! Since I'm immunocompromised, I just can't risk having my stylist in my face not wearing a mask. Not only did the owner of the salon, who did my cut, put on a mask, she also had all her staff members put on one while I was there and lysoled everything before I came in. As a business owner myself, I thought I'd leave a review because I hate people that are incompetent and don't care about new customers and trying to offer a service or plain and simply follow up. Do the respectful thing and call them back. It's seems this business is not in the business to make money by my experience, I've tried calling and left multiple messages for a cut and color, and they never call back, I don't know why I'm wasting my time still even writing this negative review because obviously they don't care. I had the absolute worst experience, if there was 0 stars that would be closer. Gabrielle had done my hair once before and it was amazing, which is why when I went back it was so shocking how horrible of an experience it was. I wasn't actually going to leave a review, because I felt bad giving a negative review. But it was her lack of accountability and complete dismissal that pushed me to write this. I went in for a trim, a clean up. I have curly hair, so one inch is really 2-3". My hair still looked great and I loved how long it was getting and I told her this. I've been trying to grow my hair out for about 3 years, she knew this. The first thing I said was please don't cut too much off I want to keep growing it longer. Please do more of the same as last time. She had photos of last time, so I thought she knew what I meant. What she did was the opposite. Crazy layers, bangs, part on the side, totally stylized in a new and different way, that we never discussed. If you're changing a person's hair style, I would think you'd want to discuss it. My hair was already growing out and considered long with long layers, with the front past my chin and back longer almost to the middle of my back. Its horrifying that I instead of a trim Gabrielle gave me a textured cut with short layers, some as short as 2-3" wish basically curl up to nothing, and the body of the hair curls up to above my shoulders. So its even shorter now than when it was when she cut it in 2021. The layers are so random, my hair is ruined. All she said was, "it will grow back." Sure, in about 2-3 years! Until then I have to live with this. In addition, I got a cleansing treatment and was under a dryer hood and it wasn't noticeable yesterday, but today my scalp is on fire and Im in so much pain. Ive do e these many times, once with Gabrielle and a handful at the salon I left for Gabrielle. When I communicated these issues to Gabrielle she responded basically that it was my fault and I should have spoken up yesterday. No concern, no advise about what to do with my burning scalp, no call, no accountability. It's just shocking and upsetting. read more

These people respect hair. If you say those key words: "I'd like to keep the length" "just an inch", "only this much" *shows with fingers* THEY WILL LISTEN. None of this "was I speaking English?" But instead a conversation about face shape, and career, and daily activities and what I needed my hair to be able to do. We talked about proper hair care. NOT just shower rituals, daily rituals and how repetitive hairstyles can lead to early thinning, breaking, damaged strands. We talked about products, and sulficants, and oil and dirt. We talked about color and layers, and how flirty we wanted to be. Got my hair cut at the top of 2020 to say goodbye to 2019 and I'll be going back for my next shapeup soon! read more

She razor cut my bangs which I think made them thicker which I love. She also added volume to my fine and curly, limp hair with the cut. It was my first time at this salon and Enrique was able to squeeze me in last minute for a brown-to-blonde balayage. The experience was great! He immediately offered us cookies and drinks as soon as we got in the door (drinks also include wine fyi!) He explained the balayage process along the way so I felt comfortable that my hair was in good hands. He threw in a complimentary trim and deep conditioning treatment, and honestly my hair has NEVER felt this soft after a salon service. She is super knowledgeable, an expert, when it cones to color and styling. She really listens to what you need and want. Such a cute salon with a California theme. Everyone here is really friendly! My hair stylist Nikki works here and has done an amazing job of making me blonde. Put simply: Nikki is awesome!! She listened to exactly what I wanted and really delivered. I've been to her twice. The first time I wanted a big chop and blonde balayage. Second time, four months later, I wanted just an even trim and more blonde. She did amazing work both times. My natural hair color is dark dark brown (almost black) with RED undertones and every hair stylist I've been to before has made me coppery when lightening my hair. Normally I'd be semi blonde for 1-2 weeks and then immediately go to orange, even with using purple shampoo to upkeep. She's the first hair stylist I've been to that tones my hair ASHY so it doesn't even get a little bit orangey between visits. Seriously, I was still getting compliments on my hair all the way up to four months after she did my hair. Upkeep: I use purple shampoo or conditioner 1-2 times per week. My natural roots blend really nicely into the highlights because she keeps the roots dark and blended. I love Nikki and I definitely found a keeper! read more
