Wanted to like my rubber gel base mani as the technician was so nice and friendly and the salon was cute and price was fair but my nails did not turn out as good as they have at my usual salon. The staff was very kind. The pedicures and manicures my daughter and I got were perfection! They are very detailed and take their time.

Started off strong with a call to inquire about availability, they got me in right away. Armine was amazing for my pedicure but the girl who did the manicure cut me several times then sprayed alcohol on my hands like that was the solution. I've had a Russian manicure before and this was not it, it seemed like the owners daughter was sent to do my nails with min experience. We were not able to communicate despite use of google translate, the only English speaker able to translate left 15 minutes into the session. I am not averse to use google translate but it was really difficult. They charged me 75$ for a regular gel mani and pedi each so the cost came to 150$ .Overall for the price, result, and tip(I did tip because I felt bad only tipping one manicurist but I ended up tipping both. Just visited this new establishment (about 2 months old). What I got: Gel mani, regular pedi. Very affordable cost for the location (pricing on their website). Observations: cute space, clean space (owner even cleaned the waiting chairs). They have a hair station and I saw a room for waxing or facials, looked to be clean as well. Mask are worn, temps are not taken, gloves are worn. The stations are cleaned after each use and due to capacity, they did not use the same stations back to back. (I didn't sit in the same spot the customers before me sat in for mani or pedi). Cons of visit: could not find the original color, wait was about 25-30 post appointment time, no big deal for me, but if you're in a rush them possible. I don't think it was intentional, but they may allow walk-ins and someone walked in while I was still in my car gathering my things. Mani: Pro: I loved the color I settled for. My cuticles were not cut too deep so, when alcohol was applied there was no burning (rarely happens for me)! the nail tech took her time and did such a good job caring for my nails. I just know that when my nails grow back out they'll look even better. She cleaned before each cure so no gel was left on my skin . Pedi: Honestly, everyone was gentle with my cuticles which is BIG! I'm not a fan of the nail salon because everything seems rushed. I'm not sure if this is the pandemic version, but I do hope the service remains caring, gentle, and clean. Since I get regular pedi's, the tech did spray some drying spray to quicken it. Cuticle oil was applied to the toes too. She was quick and precise. Overall: I might actually be looking forward to getting my nails done again. This is a first. I'm a simple girl so I can't speak on the acrylic or design aspect. Give them a try! read more

I had gel-x nails done with Anna and they are stunning and perfect which is just how I like them. Super shiny, squared, and red for a night out for my birthday. I also had an incredible facial with Marina and I'm a super happy client who will be back!! It was absolutely the BEST facial I've ever had! It was so relaxing and comfortable! She massaged my hands and arms and wrapped them with warm paraffin wax. It was done with such care, technique, and experience. The salon itself is very beautiful! That being said, if you're looking for something specific there is only so much they have there. I came in asking for something I thought was very easy and they didn't have what I was looking for but I was already well in to my service when they told me they didn't have the color I was wanting. They tried to get me to do gelX even though they charge $75 to do it. I settled with whatever color they had for the dip powder. They looked okay. Not the worst I've gotten. But after only 2 days they've already chipped. I've never had this problem with the dip powder and that's why I get it. I wasn't even going to post a review because of them not having a color but the fact that it chipped and I payed $55 for them is just really upsetting. UPDATE: I have NEVER had them chip like this.. this is ridiculous.. read more

I have been looking for a new salon for a while and I have finally found the it!! My nail tech's name is Rosanna (I apologize if her name is mispelled) and she did a wonderful job! She is incredibly nice, a perfectionist, and very professional. I got everything I asked for plus more, a gel mani on natural nails with some art. The place is clean and you get a fresh new set of tools. The only downside would be the limited parking space in the back. read more

I've been going to Powder Beauty for over 6 months until I realized my own nails are becoming thin and weak. When I informed the worker about the situation she was acting surprised but she was the only one consistently taking care of my nails. After last visit and horrible done nail tips (different technique that I've been always getting for over 6months) I informed the nail salon of improper service but I already was going to my planned trip, currently 5 of my nails are having bacteria !! 5!!! The doctor told me it's not a coincidence or accident cuz it is not one but five nails with nail fungus. Diagnose: poor consistent work!! Powder beauty don't want to take responsibility for the damage they have done and I'm going to inform their clients about the "professional approach". Btw they are not using gloves during the work and I also was not aware that this is not acceptable in hygienic standards. Horrible! read more

I came to this salon for a haircut, but unfortunately I don't think I'll be coming back. The haircut itself turned out to be OK, although it's not really what I wanted. I felt rushed when I tried to explain what I want to the stylist, as she remarked that she already understood what I wanted when I was explaining my struggles with length and my own hair texture. We agreed that the length should be at my shoulders, but now when I've washed and dried my hair, it's nearly three inches shorter. The stylist also used the thinning shears extensively, and I never like the result when this tool is used instead of taking the time and using regular shears to shape the hair. I also found it somewhat rude that she was having a conversation with another client or a colleague for almost half of the time, pausing the cutting as I awkwardly waited. Another thing is that I've texted the salon prior to scheduling an appointment and was told that the haircut price is $60, but it turned out to be $80. I'm almost glad I didn't have extra cash for a tip, because if I knew how this experience would turn out, I'd go to another salon for $100 where I'd be listened to and treated with attention and respect. read more

Last Friday I had my First facial! I walked in feeling a bit unsure then I was immediately greeted asked if I could be helped. Said yes that I had an appt. Wow was I impressed with this place every thing was totally NEW amazing decor and clean!! I was taken by Ana into the facial room where I met Marina who was going to do my facial. So we sat down I filled out the paper work and then our consultation began. Yes a consultation abt my skin and what I wanted to focus on with my face. We had a full on discussion and Marina gave me her input on my skin and wow we were on the same page! Of course they followed the Covid rules and Marina wore gloves during the facial so that made me comfortable. It turned out to be a GREAT facial in a new, clean place with such nice people attending to me. My hour facial turned out longer than the hour I expected! So happy I discovered a Great New friendly Salon. Highly recommend you try this place out! LOOKS like I found my new Salon and they also do nails! So that will be my next thing to try. This easily has become one of my top full service salons. After having a great pedicure done at Powder Beauty, I was sure their other services would not disappoint. I scheduled a Brazilian Blow Out with Marine. She was extremely knowledgeable of the process and made the long process fly by! My curly, frizzy hair is now silky smooth and straight. Every time I've been here I've received only good vibes and great customer service. Their girls I've visited were Alla, Ruzanna and Anna for my first few appointments. Girls did a great job and were super friendly and talkative! However, I have small nails so getting gel-x never really lasts on me. My nails are super tiny like a toddlers nails. I had an appointment with Ani yesterday at 7:30. How sweet of them to accommodate an appointment for me after hours?! Ani did an AMAAZZZING job on my Gel-x and it truly feels like they're gonna last way longer than I've ever experienced with any other gel x sets.
