My family and I took my niece to this store for a second visit in attempts to find her the perfect First Communion Dress. We were so impressed the first time we went with the service we received by the gentleman working there as he was so willing to help and offering to order dresses in for my niece we wanted to go back and look at a dress she found the last time we were there. When we walked in we were half greeted by the lady working in the store. We explained we were in last week and were looking for a specific dress for my niece to try on. When we located the dress ourselves, we approached the lady and asked if she could get it down so my niece could try it on. She explained to my sister unless we were going to buy today she would not allow my niece to try anything on risking the dress may become dirty. I could not believe what I was hearing. How could we know if we would like the dress on her if she was not allowed to try it on?! After posing this question to the associate she said it was very expensive to clean dresses and she would not allow her to try it on. I asked her if the other 3 people in her store were all there to buy? She stated yes. I shouted, "So you have pre-qualified all of these customers before waiting on them? They are all here to buy?!" She told me yes they were all they to buy and that's why they were being helped. I was stunned! I approached the other customers in the store asking if they were buying today which they all stated they were just looking. I couldn't believe the discrimination we were facing from the "owner" of this establishment. After her telling us she had been there for 5 years and she didn't need our business, we walked out. I DO NOT recommend this business to anyone! You will not be helped unless she believes you are going to buy. Extremely bad service. There was a dress my daughter liked, and the price was okay, but her size was not in stock. Instead of ordering it, we drove to the L.A. Fashion district and found a dress she ended up loving! Since the service was totally rude, I did not want to give them my business. We went in looking for a Prom dress. We were asked off the top, how much I was willing to spend. I stated that I had not thought about a price, I'm looking for something I approve and my daughter will like. She told us to choose all the dresses she wanted to try on. She chose like 3. Then my daughter noticed another dress she liked. Lady said, that's why I asked you to choose all the ones you liked, so I wouldn't have to go back and forth. I thought, oh wow! So I remained calm. The last dress my daughter liked, but was too small. The girl insisted I was perfect, I said no it's not...she said it fits too tight. Lady was not happy. Another dress she tried on, girl stated that it was sexy. Uum, for prom? I stated, I'm not looking for sexy, I'm looking for pretty and classy...this since the front center of the dress was way too low, specially since that particular dress did not fit her right. At the end, the store was like 10 minutes till closing, which I was not aware, I lost track of time, she was done trying on the dresses anyways. Instead of giving us a heads up on he time, and maybe getting the order in for a different size, her helper told me that if I planned to stay longer I would have to pay $10 per hour, and put a $70 down if she wanted to try anything else on. I figure, if she wanted me to leave, that's all she has to say. She should have instead stated that it was almost closing time, and no more dresses were allowed to be tried on, and I could return the next day and they would be more than happy to help...NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. They really need a zero star option because that's what this store deserves. My mother is gonna be a maid of honor and she needs a dress so by the looks of this store we thought we'd find something here. Let me get to the point, I've worked in retail before and I never in my life have seen such terrible treatment towards customers until I stepped into this store. The so called manager greeted us and went on to help us. She started off being really helpful but then she seemed to get irritated when we asked her to bring down a dress for us. As my mom walked into the fitting room she told me that I needed to leave a 20 dollar deposit to ensure I was gonna buy something and I told her that why would I pay 20 dollars before hand if I don't even know if my mom is going to like the dress so I guess I knocked some sense into her because she didn't end up charging me. So my mother tried on 2 dresses and the manager kept asking questions like what the occasion was and what not and my mom always asks for my opinion and the manager seemed so bothered that my mom asked me instead of her. She went off to yell at me and say "Well is this dress for you or your mother" and I told her it was for my mom but I wasn't gonna let my mother wear a hideous dress to a wedding. And she tried catching an attitude so I went out my way to tell her what real customer service is and if she can't understand what is to treat a costumer with respect then she should shut this store down cause I wouldn't even take one of her dresses for free. I wish I would've read the reviews before I went but I live close by and always would see the store at the mall so now that my sister is turning 15 we are throwing her a surprise party and we lied to her and said we were going to take just nice pictures with a dress so she doesn't suspect anything.We walked in and were approached by sales associate and we asked her if she could try on 2 dresses we saw at the window. She right away ask us when is the event so we said we're not sure yet so my sister doesn't suspect anything and told us if we don't know the event date she couldn't try nothing on. My mom told her we're looking for dress to buy can just try on the dress and I ended up telling her the date but my mom was already annoyed with her attitude. So she ask my mom I feel like your not happy with me and my mom straight told her no I don't like your attitude i would like someone else to help us. Her respond was if I don't help you no one else in the store will!!! We walked out I wish I was able to give them zero stars!!! On 01/08/14, I brought my daughter to this store to look for a First Communion dress. There was a nice selection of dresses and the man there allowed her to try on about five dresses. We were not sure which dress we wanted and we were keeping our options open with dresses we found online. We told the man we would more than likely be back if the dress we found online did not work out. We got the dress we ordered online and my daughter didn't like it. We went back to the store today and were greeted by a gal. I told her we were looking for a First Communion dress and we were there a few days ago. I also mentioned that my daughter wanted to try on a few more dresses in case another dress we ordered online didn't work out. At that point, she turned around and went about her business as if we weren't even there! When I walked up to the front counter and asked her if she could pull a dress down for my daughter to try on, she told me that since I wasn't planning on buying a dress right then and there that my daughter couldn't try on the dress! I was appalled! She said that my daughter couldn't try on the dresses because they would get dirty and if I weren't planning on buying a dress today, why would she go through the added expense of having to have the gown cleaned. I asked her if every person that was in the store was buying a dress that day, but of course she couldn't answer me! I couldn't believe how we were treated in that store! Needless to say, we went to Macy's and found a BEAUTIFUL dress for $59 (yes, at Macy's!)! I really wanted to go back to the store and ask her if she worked on commission because she just lost out on a sale (just like Julia Roberts did in Pretty Woman). This store has the rudest employees. One of them her name is Lucy is the rudest woman I have ever met in my life. We ordered bridesmaid dresses from them for my wedding. They told us the dresses would be in 2 weeks. It took 2 months for them to get all the dresses in different sizes. When we went to go pick them up the lady was constantly rude and proceeded to ignore us. Later during the week one of my other brides maids went to pick up her dress and they didn't let her because she didn't have the invoice. So she called me and I told her it was ok for her to pick up HER dress., she said she isn't responsible for what happens and it's not her problem once the dress is lost. So my mother called her because she didn't like her being rude and the RUDE lady told her "it's not my problem". Worst costumer service ever! She needs to get her attitude fixed or fired! I went to buy a prom dress because I won a voucher at my school. My sister and I were looking for dresses when the old lady told me to stop playing with the dresses as if they were a toy. I got frustrated but kept looking, finally I found one that I wanted to try on so we called the lady so that I could try it on. She asked where my mom was and all I said was "not here" hysterically the lady raised her voice and said she was not dumb. As angry as I was I tried on the dress and the lady kept talking to my sister about how "rude" I was being. I took off the dress and left. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO HAVE A LADY SCREAM AT ME AND CALL ME RUDE I RECOMMEND BUYING DRESSES SOMEWHERE ELSE. Recently went into this store because my mom was looking for a dress for a wedding she's in. She wasn't able to find the color she needs off the rack so she asked to see the catalog the salesperson mentioned as a possibility to order a dress that would be more fitting to her needs and in the color she was looking for. The owner of the store was also there and told my mom she could not look at the catalog unless she was going to order a dress right then and there. We were confused as to how she thinks catalogs work, we needed to peruse it first to see if it had a dress that could work and then my mom would be able to decide if she would order it. The owner insisted that unless my mom could assure her she was going to order a dress, even though she hadn't seen anything yet, she could not look at the catalog. This was very confusing to us until we realized she was just being rude for no apparent reason. I'm not sure if her catalogs are some sort of delicate antiques that are kept in mint condition, under museum quality glass so as not to be damaged whatsoever by the perusal of customers, but they were useless to us, potential customers, as we weren't able to look at them. First and last time I'd step into this store, rather pay more elsewhere for much better service. read more

In preparation for my son's wedding I found I needed a dress and I didn't know my size as I had recently lost weight. I was helped by the owner Lucinda who helped me locate the proper dress. She tailored the gown to my specifications which is not an easy feat. The gown is beautiful and it happens to be my first fancy gown. I feel and look like a princess. I couldn't be any happier. This place is a joke. They had ordered my daughter a size 4 dress even though she is 2 years old. I had told the guy making the order that i thought that the size 4 was going to be way to big but he just kept saying that hes been doing this for years and he knows the size 4 will fit her perfectly. My daughter is tall but not that tall. I didn't want to make a big deal because this was for someone else's wedding so i sad okay fine. Big Mistake! Then they told me there was a flower that had to be purchased for an extra $20. $20? this flower better be the realest looking artificial flower I've ever seen. They said they would call me when the dress was in. Never called. They never called anyone from the wedding party. I finally went in on my own. The lady that "helped" us was so unprofessional. So sad that i didn't catch her name, but after reading other reviews I'm pretty sure she was the owner because there are a lot of comparisons. Her attitude started from the moment we walked in the door. She had asked me if i brought the specific shoes that she was supposed to wear with the dress. I said no i didn't know i was supposed to. She then says "then why are you here this fitting will be pointless. you are obviously not having any communication with the bride. And why are you here so close to the wedding date?" I told her that no one had called me to let me know the dress was in. She then again said that i had no communication with the bride that she had let everyone know. I said "that's funny because i know that more than 5 people have not come to pick up their stuff. there was just blaming everything on me taking no accountability for anything. then she said that my daughters dress was huge and that why in the hell would i sign the contract for such a big dress, Again blaming everything on me, saying that she could alter it for $20. That flower that they were charging me $20 for was so ugly! My sister in law had made a comment saying that she was being very unprofessional to which she responded her "I'm not talking to you." bobbing her head as she said it. She then said i could reorder it but i would have to give more money and kept saying "well do you want it or not?" I finally said no keep your dress and walked out. I ended up buying this dress at the Main Place Plaza for $50 cheaper. Same exact dress, my daughters size and no alterations needed. Don't waste your time or money on this place! how they are still up and running confuses me. If i could give this place no stars i would. read more
