Such a cute little spot. My husband and I ate here for lunch. I had the shrimp po boy. It was amazing. The Cajun aoli paired well with the pickled onions. Best brunch in GR! Took my mom for Mother's Day. It was crazy busy and we waited for a long time to be seated. But it was totally worth it.

I like Lucy's for breakfast because of their unique menu that features new items from time to time. They also have a cafe where you can order drinks and pastries from while you wait for a table. The steak and eggs was tasty. It was topped with "frank's vin", a vinaigrette made with Frank's hot sauce: it is mildly sweet with no spice or tartness you get with traditional Frank's. The creamed spinach is a nice offset to the heavier fried half of the dish. Sy's pie was unlike a traditional pie in that it lacked a crust. The pie had plenty of stuffing but lacked pizzazz. Overall, cute place to grab breakfast. Looking forward to new dishes. read more

Have been wanting to experience Lucy's for the longest time and it was so worth the wait! The food and service was what I was hoping for!!

We tried to stop at Lucy's last week for breakfast, but was met with a one hour wait. We didn't realize it was such a popular place! This week we made sure to join the waitlist before attempting to head over. After our suggested wait time, we showed up and we're seated right away on the cute patio. The only downside to the patio is how loud it gets when semi trucks fly past. Our waitress was very friendly and the food came out in a timely manner. Everything tasted amazing! I also got a soy caramel latte that was great. Will absolutely return. read more

The food was delicious. I ordered the Huevos rancheros skillet, and boy, did it not disappoint. The service was excellent, and the locally brewed soda was a nice touch. I recommend this spot for breakfast. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. I will be coming back here. read more

Kind service and a fun interior! Stopped in for dinner as part of the Grand Rapids Restaurant Week events and was only frustrated that we hadn't visited sooner. The Crab Rangoon Grilled Cheese and Blackened Salmon were both delicious, comforting choices on a dreary day. Now this place was delicious! I loved the atmosphere of the diner. There was a more classic restaurant section which included a bar and was very nice. There was also a cafe section which was great to just grab a drink and go or sit on laptop and do work. They had delicious vegan options, this Mac and cheese pictured was out of this world. Looks of different items on the menu you can't find anywhere else. Can't wait to return! read more

Haven't been to Lucy's in a while but jumped at the chance to meet a friend here for a Saturday brunch. It did not disappoint (well, they are working on their liquor license, so there's no mimosas). The service, food, and space was awesome. We started with latte and cappuccino and ordered their spinach and artichoke dip special but had it in a (cinnamon) roll like style vs the dip. It was delicious...think savory cinnamon roll with spinach and artichoke filling with this delicious 3 plus cheese sauce on top. I ordered the spicy hash with scrambled eggs, and it was so flavorful and a large portion where I took half home. My friend had the pie/quiche that was good as well. Our server was attentive and on top of things. A great place for brunch, and we didn't have to wait! There is a waitlist to add your name via Yelp. We came at 10am on Saturday, but did notice it was filling up more into the morning (lots of folks gone for spring break, so that didn't hurt) Will definitely be back! read more

The new version of the steak and eggs is abhorrent compared to its predecessor. Bring back the original version (it was amazing). The quality of the cut is nothing short of a Walmart NY strip and there was no seasoning. The old steak and eggs was marinated so well and far better tasting. At least update the online menu, so no one has to get surprised with a new version that is so bland, mediocre, and a waste of money. I used to recommend people to this restaurant because of how good the steak and eggs were, not anymore. Plus no more cream spinach with it, such a shame. Our second time here. I had the new breakfast sandwich this time. Best breakfast sandwich I have ever eaten!! My wife had the avocado toast. She enjoyed it thoroughly. I Love brunch and this is one of my favorite spots! My last visit was with Girlfriends on a Saturday for brunch. The food is always amazing and the Espresso Martinis kept us gabbing for to long I'm sure! The atmosphere is so comfortable and the service was great as always! read more

This place exudes great potential. I just wish it has lived up to any sort of expectation in my mind. The interior is beautiful and spacious, and quite surprised that they are only open until 3pm with having a liquor license and that big of an area. The menu sounded divine, but unfortunately after our order was placed it took upwards of 15 minutes just to get our drinks, and 45 minutes to get our food without so much as an explanation for the hold up or an apology from the waiter. At one point we were ready to just ask for the check, but the waitress wouldn't come back over to our table. No courtesy was even offered for the inconvenience. The food was alright. The chocolate croissant didn't really have that flakey texture, more of a heavy loaf consistency. Not enough syrup (and no butter) was given with the French toast that had a hard texture. The BYOB was tasty. I might be considered to try this place again, but it would definitely take some thought. Overall if you're looking for excellent customer service, this place definitely falls flat. read more

The breakfast here is good and the atmosphere is adorable! I have the BYOB (build your own breakfast) of eggs over-easy, toast, bacon and hash browns. I asked for my bacon and hash browns crispy and man did they deliver... I would probably suggest not asking for that, little too crispy. My toast was burnt which was a bummer but the meal was still good. We started off with mimosas and the bacon cinnamon roll- which was super good! My friend got Sy's breakfast and really enjoyed it! I would go back here for sure but might get a dinner meal. The crispy debacle kind of did me in. Tip: make sure to check in upon arrival so you get a free pastry! read more

Lucy's is a great place for breakfast and brunch! They have lots of good food options on the menu that will satisfy everyone's cravings. (Make sure you try their biscuits!!) Lucy's is definitely more special and better than a typical breakfast diner, but the food didn't completely blow me away. First impression, parking lot was packed (which makes me feel that food must be good). I visited Thursday at 12. Greeted by friendly hostess, the atmosphere is an industrial cozy feel. Upbeat music, loud, you can still have close range conversations. Menu variety is not overwhelming. I haven't been to Lucy's in AGES! (The last time I went, they were still called "Little Lucy's"). Expect to wait a bit (20-30min) just because they're a popular place and close by 3p. I'm currently "limited" to vegan food only (& no caffeine), and was so happy with the options available to me. To be honest I was torn between the smoothie bowl and the vegan skillet. The Vegan Skillet won. The food came out in decent timing (party of 4), and everything looked and tasted wonderful. My brunch-buddies got Shakshuka, Breakfast Sandwich, Sy's Breakfast Pot Pie and a Bacon Roll. My Vegan Skillet was full of flavor, a little spice, and had a nice mix of heat + savory. The cashew cream sauce (whatever it's called) was amazing, the tofu was cooked well, and the potatoes were a mix of crunchy and soft. Fresh spinach was used and the tomatoes + green onion garnish added more color to the dish. (You can add protein if you want to it too, which is a nice option if you're looking for a "lighter" skillet.) read more
