Creston Scramble

The good: The wait time was not bad at all especially considering that it's a very busy Sunday. The hostess were nice and welcoming. The restaurant itself is very cute. The negative: We waited 40 minutes to even place our order... while again I know it was busy; however, it honestly seemed like the waitress would have rather been elsewhere since while she was taking our order before our group was done she was walking away. It also It also took 50 minutes for us to get our food to our table. Unfortunately the food was cold when we got it too. Unfortunately I would not recommend this place to someone who has a party larger than 2.

Service was quick and friendly. The food was outstanding, you can't go wrong with anything on their menu. The ambiance was absolutely gorgeous. There's a reason why this brunch spot was voted one of grand rapids' best! Definitely give this place a try

Biscuits and Gravy
Monika W.

Lucy's has the best biscuits and gravy I've had in Grand Rapids--and honestly, the best I've had in a while. It's rich, comforting, and packed with flavor without feeling too heavy. We also got a cinnamon roll to split at the end, and it completely lived up to the hype. It's incredibly flavorful and buttery. It's not overly cinnamon-forward like some can be, which I actually loved--it makes it feel more balanced and unique. Easily one of my favorite pastries around town. We added ourselves to the Yelp waitlist ahead of time, which definitely helped, but it's still worth noting that Sundays for brunch are insanely busy. I've already gone back multiple times just to grab a cinnamon roll to go. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Grand Rapids.

The only thing that was "wrong" was the weather, which the staff and owners of Lucy's couldn't have done anything about. The food was creative, well presented, and tasty. The atmosphere was very nice.

Tried brunch here and ordered the steak and eggs with potatoes. Overall it was just an okay experience. The potatoes weren't cooked all the way through and the steak was a bit chewy, so the dish didn't quite hit the mark for me. One thing I did really enjoy was the pineapple juice it tasted super fresh and was honestly the highlight of the meal. My partner tried their spicy hash and their Vietnamese coffee and enjoyed both. It was pretty busy, so I'd definitely recommend reserving in advance or joining the waitlist ahead of time if you can. The space itself is nice, and next time I think I'd keep it simple and just grab a coffee and a pastry from their bakery!

Father Day Brunch with Mimosas

We love Lucy's. Definitely one of the top brunch spots in GR. Enjoyed mimosas, the eggs benny, and the Shoomer omelette.

Wow! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Our waitress was the kindest person ever. We went for breakfast and started with a Bloody Mary. We ordered the jalapeno corn bread with honey butter. The bread was so moist and when you add the honey butter, it was a match made in Heaven. Since I don't ever make eggs Benedict, I always order this when dining out. It was amazing! The restaurant is very nice and cozy. Big place with plenty of seating. If you go, you can check online to see if there is a wait list. They also serve lunch! Just go. You won't be disappointed. One more thing that I found interesting was the to go containers were marked with the date you visited. I was fascinated with this.

Great breakfast meal!I had the quiche and my wife had the cinnamon roll with bacon. Great service! We ate inside but the patio was tempting since the weather was nice.

Huevos Rancheros

Amazing breakfast and really good coffee. My wife had Huevos Rancheros and said there's a sauce they used that put it over the top delicious. I had the well-reviewed Creston Scramble and understand why it's so popular. We also grabbed a few boxes of Paczkis on the way out for $10/box to take to work.

Stopped into Lucy's this morning for a brunch with a couple of friends. Love the atmosphere here and variety of items on the menu. Our food did take a lot longer than expected. We sat in the outside patio area which was super cute and does allow dogs! Other than the wait, the food was delicious. I had the Creston Scramble and it was great. Would definitely order again.

Jovina B.

Food was delicious. We ordered the Asian salad, mushroom and build your own breakfast. Everything was tasty. The salad was savory with enough dressing. Just love the fresh veggies with a little peanut crunch and orange sweetness. Lindsey took care of us and she was wonderful. Checked on us, was friendly and professional. Place was big with outside seating. They have their own parking.

This place is popular for breakfast so there's always a wait. I recommend joining the wait list on Yelp. I've heard great things about their breakfast so I was so excited to try it. I had their feature which was a bulgogi beef omelette with fried rice, stir fry veggies, kung pao sauce, sesame seeds and green onions. I've never had anything like that before and it was delicious! My friend got the build your own vegan breakfast and the chocolate chip pancakes. I hope we get lucky again to try the other options on the menu!

I adore crab so ordering that was a no brainer. Their coffee is strong. It took a ton of cream to change the color... though it was delicious with free refills for $5. The omelette was heaven. All the flavors melded well and I appreciated the crisp acidic salad to cut the richness of the omelette. My only critique is wishing the crab salad topping was a bit more decadent. For $21 I was hoping for big lumps of crab rather than cool shredded mayo based salad. All in all, I love this place, I love the concept. It was quite busy and was thankful to snag a seat at the bar. The service was friendly and quick. Best hipster establishment I've patronized in a long time. Make a reservation if you have a group or pray there is a seat at the bar. We typically like sitting at the bar as well and chat with the bartender who was absolutely lovely! The dirty martini was okay but I will definitely order something else next time as the olives just didn't hit for me. It's a quaint and quiet spot - you can read that as intimate - since it's not loud or rowdy, so if you want a really sweet date spot, feel free to check this one out! Otherwise, you can just go and have a casual, delicious dinner. Parking is limited with the street parking and it being so close to Monroe Center but you shouldn't have a terrible time finding something, even if requires a parking ramp vs street parking. I'd just recommend a reservation if you are going on a weekend or don't want to wait/sit at the bar!

It was a 45 minute wait today but my friend and I found seats at the bar and got coffee while we waited and we were able to order our food shortly after. Our waiter, Drew, was amazing and knew my friend from being a regular. He checked in on us frequently and made sure our coffee was full while we waited on the food. Since they were pretty slammed, our food took some time to come out but it was worth the wait. I tried the Jamaican jerk chicken frittata that my friend recommended and the spread was beautiful and it was delicious. If you like sweet and savory, this is the perfect dish with chicken and veggies in jerk sauce on top of frittata eggs topped with cheese and pineapple. Yum! The portion size covered the whole plate so I have leftovers for tomorrow! My friend got the steak and eggs and her gf got the hash Benedict. They both have been here before and I see why they went back. I will also be back soon! Other things to note is they have a shared parking lot so this is helpful if you don't want to do street parking. Also I would describe the ambiance as a higher-end diner with great service!

Different from the last time I was here but we were told to find a seat upon entering and that when we were ready, we could order our food at the counter. I looked over their menu and found lots of good breakfast taco options, the breakfast burrito I have heard is great, but what really caught my attention was the biscuits and gravy. I was feeling quite ravenous this morning and got the full order for $11 and a side of bacon. They had a table close to the entrance with extra menus, clean cups, water jugs, hot sauces, silverware and napkins. Seemed like a help-yourself vibe which I grabbed everything we would need for our meal. Our food was brought to us rather quickly and my bf ordered the breakfast bowl with scrambled eggs and sausage. He told me it tasted so good and he loved that he could make his own tacos with his food. He let me try one of the hashbrown rounds and it was perfectly crispy! My biscuits and gravy were phenomenal. The biscuits were so fresh and the gravy had a really nice and comforting flavor to it. You could get chorizo and mushrooms in your gravy but i went with a traditional sausage for my protein. My bacon on the side came in a tiny dish but I ate all four pieces haha. Once we finished, there were some bus bins under the same table with the silverware, we placed all our dirty dishes there and cleaned up after ourselves before leaving. I honestly felt so content leaving there and can't wait to return. I really appreciate the ambiance in there with the beautiful plant life, the lights on the ceiling, and cool decor in general.
