The staff is the best! I went there with some friends to celebrate a friend's birthday. And they did such an amazing job taking care of us! We jad a cheesecake with us, the staff offered to take it in the back and store it in the fridge for us. They brought it out for with the candles lit to sing happy birthday and then they took it back to cut it up for us. I am so glad to experience such an amazing staff! Some things to note: you can order a cake from their bakery hut they need 72 hour notice. Cakes from outside bakery are allowed, there is a charge of 1.50 per person. It has to be from a bakery, it cant be homemade. Reservations on weekends is for 12+ party. Besides the amazing service. The food is amazing! The cinnamon rolls are the best cinnamon rolls I have ever had. We got it without the bacon. It was flaky and warm and just so delicious. For my entree I got the breakfast sandwich with vegan sausage and no egg and side of potatoes. It was also very good. The biscuit is very soft and buttery. All the entrees were huge portions and enough for some leftovers. I will definitely go back even just for the cinnamon roll and the service! We had a small group and had no issue getting a table on a Saturday.

Well, it seems lately haven't gotten much time out of the house except to go to the doctor so guess what we did on Friday? Went to the doctor so of course that calls for lunch. We had a doctor appointment that day so plenty of time for lunch. We chose Lucy's on Plainfield. We like to sit at the bar because seats are higher and easier for us to get out of. Our bartender was awesome very kind and Smiley and a service was wonderful. They have a lunch special or had a lunch special. I'm not sure if it's every day, but it was a half a sandwich and cup of soup for $12. We also had a mimosa before our food came. I ordered a half a Reuben and tomato bisque soup. Everything is homemade and it was delicious. I am a Reuben lover and this was one of the best. My daughter loves grits so she went with the grits with sausage and over easy eggs. I always get a taste and they were very very good. The restaurant and bar area where very clean and cozy and the ambience was wonderful. There was outdoor seating where you can bring your dogs, and there were quite a few customers when we were there indoors and outdoors. Mimosa is also very good. PS I also noticed bakery items when we walked in, but we did not check that out so we will save that for next time. Which there will be a next time.

Service was quick and friendly. The food was outstanding, you can't go wrong with anything on their menu. The ambiance was absolutely gorgeous. There's a reason why this brunch spot was voted one of grand rapids' best! Definitely give this place a try

Lucy's has the best biscuits and gravy I've had in Grand Rapids--and honestly, the best I've had in a while. It's rich, comforting, and packed with flavor without feeling too heavy. We also got a cinnamon roll to split at the end, and it completely lived up to the hype. It's incredibly flavorful and buttery. It's not overly cinnamon-forward like some can be, which I actually loved--it makes it feel more balanced and unique. Easily one of my favorite pastries around town. We added ourselves to the Yelp waitlist ahead of time, which definitely helped, but it's still worth noting that Sundays for brunch are insanely busy. I've already gone back multiple times just to grab a cinnamon roll to go. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Grand Rapids.

I've been here a few times now and it never disappoints! I went on a Sunday at 10:30am and expected it to be suer busy but I think we went at the perfect time and didn't have to wait at all! I got the peach french toast and it was yummy, very sweet as to be expected but just FYI. I also got the glitter sprtix which was one of their features for pride month and it was amazing, highly recommend. It was the perfect Sunday morning and they had plenty of seating inside since it was one of the heatwave days.

Tried brunch here and ordered the steak and eggs with potatoes. Overall it was just an okay experience. The potatoes weren't cooked all the way through and the steak was a bit chewy, so the dish didn't quite hit the mark for me. One thing I did really enjoy was the pineapple juice it tasted super fresh and was honestly the highlight of the meal. My partner tried their spicy hash and their Vietnamese coffee and enjoyed both. It was pretty busy, so I'd definitely recommend reserving in advance or joining the waitlist ahead of time if you can. The space itself is nice, and next time I think I'd keep it simple and just grab a coffee and a pastry from their bakery!

The only thing that was "wrong" was the weather, which the staff and owners of Lucy's couldn't have done anything about. The food was creative, well presented, and tasty. The atmosphere was very nice.

The good: The wait time was not bad at all especially considering that it's a very busy Sunday. The hostess were nice and welcoming. The restaurant itself is very cute. The negative: We waited 40 minutes to even place our order... while again I know it was busy; however, it honestly seemed like the waitress would have rather been elsewhere since while she was taking our order before our group was done she was walking away. It also It also took 50 minutes for us to get our food to our table. Unfortunately the food was cold when we got it too. Unfortunately I would not recommend this place to someone who has a party larger than 2.

Wow! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Our waitress was the kindest person ever. We went for breakfast and started with a Bloody Mary. We ordered the jalapeno corn bread with honey butter. The bread was so moist and when you add the honey butter, it was a match made in Heaven. Since I don't ever make eggs Benedict, I always order this when dining out. It was amazing! The restaurant is very nice and cozy. Big place with plenty of seating. If you go, you can check online to see if there is a wait list. They also serve lunch! Just go. You won't be disappointed. One more thing that I found interesting was the to go containers were marked with the date you visited. I was fascinated with this.

We sat in the outside patio area which was super cute and does allow dogs! Other than the wait, the food was delicious. I had the Creston Scramble and it was great. Would definitely order again.

Seriously, the best meal I've eaten in a very very long time. The sweet crab balanced with a slightly spicy and creamy filling, a bit of crunch from some peppers all wrapped up in a beautiful omelet. Came here for breakfast today and it was great. Service was great, parking is right outside. It's a cute trendy space with a lot of room. I really liked my meal. Had the huevos rancheros, that was one of the best I've had. The pork had crispy ends and the guacamole on top added something I never new I was missing. Also had a hash skillet, can't remember what it was called, but it had chorizo and goat cheese, along with other things, and it was very good. Lucy's has extended its hours and expanded its menu to now offer dinner. The restaurant serves delicious adaptations of traditional foods with just the right amount of creative edginess. My husband and I both had the Bison meatloaf. I savored every bite of this dish made with a unique combination of ingredients and flavors. Portions are generous, and I had enough left to enjoy for lunch the next day. All the staff, from management to host to wait staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive. Waitress confirmed they cook in soybean oil, which is disappointing in itself. As someone with a soy allergy I requested my meal be cooked in butter and they told me they could do that but I still got sick, and the meat was not great quality. Unreal! We have been to Lucy's twice now, once for brunch and once for their new dinner. Dinner we went for restaurant week and got so much food for such a deal! Their baked goods are delicious, DO NOT sleep on the bacon roll! Food is made fresh to order and everything I have tasted is wonderful. I've heard so many good things about Little Lucy's for awhile, even recommending it to others (who ended up loving it), and finally had the chance to try it myself...I was not disappointed!! I had the iced coffee and (based on others reviews) the Creston Scramble. So delicious, and flavorful...the husband and I were still talking about it that evening! Lucy's is a great spot for brunch! The staff was great, especially the Father of the Owner. All ingredients were very fresh and made with imagination and great preparation. This place has heart. Omelettes are huge (consider splitting) in order to share another favorite menu item. Lucy potatoes are great as well! Do not pass this place, you will miss out. read more

The prices are on the higher side, but it's our splurge every so often. Perfect place to work if you need a change of pace. A cozy, but trendy spot. And the baristas might be the friendliest in town.

The Coffee Crew GR is a small batch coffee company in Comstock Park that employs adults with disabilities, and it's woman owned! Two things that you don't see very often, which is amazing in and of itself. Not only do they roast their own coffee (which is delicious, by the way), they also bake pastries in house! Their mini apple pies were delicious; my kids and my dad wolfed them right down. Per the flyer I grabbed on my way out: "We are owned and operated by a group of special needs young adults, as a for-profit effort to demonstrate the capabilities of these workers." Wholly agreed, and everyone should go and support if you ever pass by!

We put our names on the waitlist about 15 minutes before we arrived, around 9:30ish on a Saturday, and it worked out perfectly. We were seated right away! They had a good menu with a wide selection of both savory and sweet items. For drinks, they had an abundance of coffee and cocktail options. I ordered a pumpkin spice latte, and it was delicious. For food, I went with a monte cristo sandwich and it did not disappoint. I couldn't help but notice the bakery section up front. The pastries, cinnamon rolls, and cookies looked incredible. I wish I could remember our server's name because she was absolutely incredible. Throughout the meal, my friends and I couldn't stop commenting on how friendly she was. Not only that, but she was also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. One of my friends has a dairy allergy, and our server was able to answer all of her questions and make her feel confident about her choices. It's such a relief when the staff knows their stuff! Overall, this place was top-notch. The food was beyond delicious, the service was outstanding, and the ambiance was just right. The waiter brought me a diet soda even though I asked for regular, which wouldn't seem that big of a deal to a thin person, but being overweight it is a slap in the face. No, it was not just a simple mistake, it happens far too often and I was the only person that got the wrong drink at the table. Love this place! I had the Croque Madame and it was amazing! It came with a salad (for breakfast? Yes!) that was a perfectly unexpected and delicious touch.
