Had the huevos rancheros, that was one of the best I've had. The pork had crispy ends and the guacamole on top added something I never new I was missing. Also had a hash skillet, can't remember what it was called, but it had chorizo and goat cheese, along with other things, and it was very good. The food that we ate here was delicious. We ordered the Bacon Cinnamon Roll for an appetiser to start. Then for our meals we ordered the Smash Burger, Smoothie Bowl, and the Crab Rangoon Grilled Cheese. The service was very friendly and very attentive. The server got our food to us quickly. My wife and I were looking at some real estate in an area with which we were unfamiliar, so we looked on Yelp for a suggestion for breakfast/brunch. As usual, Yelp did not let us down - it flagged Lucy's as a local favorite. While diner-like, the layout was open and friendly - and we really liked the spacious feel of the place. We both ordered the Bold House Coffee to start - I really liked it, but it was a little bitter for my wife. She, however, was thrilled with her entree - a "Root Vegetable Hash" - a mix of lots of different vegetables tossed in a Dijon sauce that was slightly spicy and delicious. Dishes like this are normally not in my sweet spot, but she shared a bite with me and I thought it was wonderful (and different!) as well. My entree was a Sy's Pot Pie - a very tasty mix including multiple breakfast meats (chopped in very small bits), nice crispy hash browns, and scrambled eggs topped with an absolutely delicious béchamel. A biscuit topped with cheddar cheese was on top - decent but unnecessary, IMHO. Both dishes were definitely "have agains" - and we will be back! Lucy's is a great spot for brunch! The staff was great, especially the Father of the Owner. All ingredients were very fresh and made with imagination and great preparation. This place has heart. Omelettes are huge (consider splitting) in order to share another favorite menu item. Lucy potatoes are great as well! Do not pass this place, you will miss out. read more

The first two times I went here it was amazing, the last two times have been pretty bad. The food is always good but the service is not. For some reason I always get the same server and she takes at least 10-15 minutes to get to the table for drinks and then another 10 to the table to get our order. I witnessed her make a bloody marry for her other table and she dipped her hand inside of the drink to pull out the pickle. THEN she came over to fill my coffee and put her dirty hands on the part of the mug I drink out of... I was so grossed out. Overall, the food is amazing but the service is awful and slow. I really enjoyed my breakfast! I had the corn-beef hash with eggs and it was delicious. I'm very picky about my corn-beef hash too so trust me when I say it's good! Their banana bread appetizer with steamed cinnamon milk poured over it is wonderful! Great atmosphere. The hostesses seemed a bit frazzled when we were there, it wasn't busy either. Met my uncle for lunch, service was great and good was excellent! I was running late and even though I ordered after my uncle's good arrived, my food came out well before he finished eating, which was nice. I opted for the croque madame, which I thought was a sandwhich but is really more of a non traditional eggs Benedict. It was tasty though so I'd say i was more pleasantly surprised than dissapointed that it wasn't what I expected. My uncle got the French toast, which looked really good and he seemed happy with. Over all I think it's a quality breakfast/lunch spot and a great addition to the Creston neighborhood. Little Lucy's is a fabulous addition to the budding Creston neighborhood. I have visited twice now, both occasions for breakfast. Each time I left feeling slightly less than blown away, but far from disappointed. The dining room has been extremely busy during both visits, yet my service was quick, accurate, and attentive. Hostesses and servers have been incredibly congenial and knowledgeable on the menu. Prices are suitable relative to portion size. The menu features both classics and creative dishes, as well as numerous options for various dietary preferences. The half of the building which was briefly their sister-restaurant, Brighton Grayes, is where I sat on my most recent visit. There was a baby shower going on in the room at the same time, and this seemed like a great setting for a small party of that variety. I am hoping to explore their lunch options, soon. read more

Have been to Lucy's two times in the last few months. The first experience was awesome. There was a little bit of a wait (~15-20 minutes) but we also came at a pretty busy time on the weekend. The food was excellent! I got the Creston skillet and it was delicious. The mix of ingredients was so tasty and savory. Their hazelnut coffee was also very good. The second (more recent) visit was this last weekend. We came a little earlier (around 9AM) and were able to get a table right away with 4 people. The coffee again was awesome and the food was great. I got the Rambler Skillet this time and it was also excellent! The Jack Fruit tastes like shredded pulled pork, it's the weirdest thing. You would never know you are eating fruit. Only issue was that this past visit we waited over 1 hour to get our food. While the place got very busy after we sat down, it was still somewhat interesting as no one around us got their food in a timely fashion either. Not sure if they were having staffing issues or what, but seemed to be bothering other people as one person even came up and asked us if we had gotten our food yet. Otherwise, the food, vibes, and setting are awesome and defiantly a recommendation! read more

We came for breakfast on a Sunday in June 2022, restaurant was not yet full at 9:30 am. had to wait a bit to be seated even though it wasn't crowded, that was a red flag and set the tone for the rest of the meal. By 10:00 am the restaurant was full with more customers waiting outside to be seated , only 2 cooks in the kitchen, they looked miserable and overwhelmed. Restaurants don't like to turn away customers, however, that would have been a humane thing to do until the kitchen staff has a chance to catch up on the orders. It took 1 hour 15 minutes to get our breakfast. I ordered 2 eggs, bacon and hash brown, all very greasy. The menu encourages tipping the chefs $15, if you can afford to do that or increase the tip and split it with the waitress. I wouldn't come back to Lucy's having seen how they treated the chefs, without them there would be no restaurant. Post-Covid requires restaurants to rethink the way they operate, the status quo is unworkable. read more

I came here with a friend who's vegetarian and there were so many options for the both of us! We both ended up ordering the riverside rambler which was huge and only 10.99. It was served in a large skillet with some toast and definitely enough for two meals. It had jackfruit hash which is like a vegetarian substitute for meat, and was very good! Our server Kyle was very nice, and the whole atmosphere and patio setting is to die for. I'm very surprised I've never come here before and I can't wait to try other things on the menu - it was so hard to decide. Also don't forget that they are closed Mondays and tuesdays!! read more
