I have used Lugg several times. They have been exceptional with each task. They helped me move an old WD set out of my house for a FB street pickup, and they picked up a piece of furniture I bought on FB from the seller's house, and they helped me load up items into a UHaul from my mother's estate. With every engagement, they arrived on time (I love their tracking feature!), they were incredibly careful and strong and wrapped items with care, didn't mind when I asked them to move things around during placement, and yet they didn't waste a second. I got a sofa set from Macys yesterday and paid for same day delivery. $118.00 Lugg failed to provide the delivery drivers of my unit number saying I never provided it but I clearly did and it shows not only on my receipt online but in the automated text they send you. I'm frantically trying to call and text the drivers to come back and they refused unless I paid another delivery fee. At this point I don't have the money for that so they take it back to Macys and then charge me anyway another $160!!! They're quick to take your money but exceptionally slow to get back to you when they mess up. Have you read Lugg's website? They claim to be committed to your safety. They claim to educate and equip their movers. They also assure that they're backed by a "multi-million dollar insurance policy" and if your items occur damage, they will be "taken care of or replaced." This is not true. I've moved over 8 times as an adult, each time using professional moving companies. Lugg is NOT a professional moving company. My moving experience with them was incredibly stressful and completely inappropriate. The movers fought with each other from the moment they arrived to the very end of the day (I kid you not). It got so bad that by the end of the day, they CALLED THE POLICE because they "felt unsafe" with each other. The movers stayed on my property, including on the front porch, for hours while waiting for the police to arrive. My already stressful moving day ended with the police coming to my house to take statements from my husband and I. Unbelievable. Also, they did not use basic measures to properly handle and move items. My new house is on a hill, and what happens when you are parked on a hill with nothing tied, secured, or protected...? Literally nobody had touched anything, and things came crashing out, with some items tumbling down the hill & stopping less than inch away from our new neighbor's car. I'd especially emphasized the importance of protecting my Italian travertine table (the whole reason I had hired Lugg), but there was NO security and it got completely shattered. Heartbreaking. But I am grateful that nobody got hurt. THE DAMAGES: - $371 steel cabinet broken beyond use - $855 standing desk damaged - $280 work bench damaged - My travertine table, a priceless family heirloom, broken beyond repair, with the cheapest replacement being $1200. - Several upholstered items that I got cleaned on my own and didn't even claim. THEIR "RESOLUTION": A refund of the moving bill and $250 for the damages. Yes, $250... Of course I refuted, but they apparently cannot offer any more than $509 for THOUSANDS of dollars worth of damages. The movers themselves said it was 100% their fault for the damages, apologized profusely, and told me to contact the claims department for full compensation of damaged items. They also believed their company would back up their mistakes, but this is not true. Of course, I'm disappointed and upset. I have used Lugg numerous times to move 1-2 items at a time & it really can be a convenient service. The reason I hired Lugg for this move over other companies was for their lofty guarantee of a safe, efficient, and professional move. However I received none of these things. People of Seattle, if you have any precious items you can't have damaged, don't use Lugg. if you live on a hill, don't use Lugg. if you want reliable damage insurance, don't use Lugg. if you expect professionalism for your paid services, don't use Lugg. If I would not have got support from lugg folks, I think I could not have moved the stuff. The two folks who came for my service were extremely reliable. They handled my stuff with care from start to end. They tried to understand how I wanted things and did all the help till end. They used the time in optimized way. If you need movers, I highly recommend them. They are not that expensive and they have good availability in terms of time and locations. This was my second time using lugg. read more

Do not use this service, awful to their employees. I worked for Lugg almost 100 times and they are BY FAR the least caring individuals you will ever work for. The only thing they care about is making $, which is fine if you're okay with being treated like shit as an employee. Terrible company, stay away from and use any other service other than Lugg. For reference, go look at their employee ratings. People say the same exact thing as I am, they treat their employees terribly!! The first text message is one where they asked me and my partner to drive almost 80 miles away to complete a Lugg. We tried to get out of it, but of course Lugg didn't give a shit! Instead we took a ferry to someone's house on an island outside of Seattle that took us nearly 2 hours to get to. I believe we made around $50 for a 4 1/2 hour round trip. This is something that Lugg will do, they don't give a shit about you. They only care about completing jobs to make money. Btw you don't get paid a dollar to drive out to anywhere, only once you're at the location. The second text is another way Lugg screws over their employees. If you ever arrive to someone's house that isn't there or cancels right when you arrive, you are not compensated whatsoever. I manage the boutique location of another, larger home furnishings store. Between the two locations we sell several million dollars in home furnishings. Many of the larger items need transport and I've recommended Lugg on occasion. Never again. I stopped recommending Dolly because of 2 absolutely disastrous events, and I thought Lugg would be the better alternative. For awhile, it was. The guys who showed up were prepared, had positive attitudes and seemed professional. Today: notsomuch. Today the two who arrived were unprepared and gave me major attitude because I would not supply them with what they needed. Really? You want me to do YOUR job? Plus they wanted to use packing tape to tape drawers shut for transport. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I've seen more furniture destroyed because of this. It rips off the finish when the tape is removed. After having had two extremely capable guys who transported my Ikea furniture from Renton to Olympia, the second experience was terrible. The two guys were nice, but first waited at the back entrance for 10 minutes and then were extremely slow. The service is paid by the minute and even though this was a straight forward job (going from Capitol Hill to a storage unit) they were not in a hurry and something that could have been done in 1 - 1 1/2 hours took 3 hours. In a way, I understand them- the client pays by the minute, but these guys are paid 15 USD per hour- so why do everything fast? Lugg asked for feedback and I originally gave them 4 stars, I did not want the two guys to be in trouble. The company had then the nerve to ask why I did not give 5.... I would not recommend them. If you are moving, use a traditional company and ask for a fixed price to avoid a scam. read more

The customer service is non-existent. The movers showed up at the estate sale 3 1/2 hours after it closed. I probably lost everything I bought since they didn't show. I emailed my concerns after I didn't get a confirmation that they were on their way after the reservation window was over. I did receive a text they were running late but in that same text I was reassured that they would be there by 3pm. Then silence. There is no way to contact the main office assigning drivers to find out what is going on except through email (which I did several times but still haven't heard back). Then I get a text three hours later saying the movers are in their way. They said they got the assignment given to them at 6pm and the entire ran this way. Now I can see from the other reviews that this wasn't just a bad day. I used the service before in San Francisco but here in Seattle it is worse than bad. I haven't heard anything from management. Your movers came to the location and didnt know what to do. They said they never done anything like this before and tried to cancel 20 mins before they arrived. They arrived and couldn't figure out how to disassemble my shelving. They knocked it over, bent the racks, asked if they were supposed to take it to the dumpster because it looks like a bunch of pieces that are unusable, then complained the entire time about how they are only supposed to move couches, because they could be doing other jobs. My wife got hurt in the process because the shelving they knocked over fell directly on her. Her shoulder blade is badly bruised and she cut her finger. They didn't even offer an apology. They showed up in an unmarked blue cargo van with a broken windshield. The inside was filthy, dirt and debris are all over my items. When they arrived at the destination, Peter asked me if i had a cart to move the pieces because it's going to take them 2-3 hours to unload, which is absolutely insane. Peter then repeatedly dropped the shelving, cursed each time, and was actively showing his dismay. Eyasu was not vocal, but his silence was just as deafening. They have damaged the racks beyond repair and are not taking any accountability. We have several witnesses to this situation and are in utter disbelief. Not one apology has been made. Peter has mentioned this isn't his issue nor his job. They had a picture and the details of the job over a week in advance, so we are not sure why they are acting as if they did not know what to expect. Not only did they break it, they claim they do not know how to reassemble anything because it is beyond their duties. My movers were two great guys. However, I would recommend taking your needs elsewhere. First and most importantly, I ordered the largest package of movers + truck, which is literally just two guys and a beat up truck. They had a flat rate of ~$250 for the first hour and then ~$2.50 for every *minute* after that. I figured, I'm one tiny gal (4'11ft) so we might go over time just a bit. I was flustered to see my movers moving at a glacial pace. I quickly came to realize that if I didn't help it would take *forever* and be widely expensive. Well, I wasn't wrong. I *literally* helped them every step of the way from lifting boxes, taking things up/down stairs, pushing and loading dollies, to packing and unpacking the truck. It took us 3.5 hrs to finish the job and it ended with me being exhausted and smelly with a whopping $600 bill. Not to mention the coupon my storage place provided was "not accepted during COVID" (which is honestly when ppl are most in need of financial breaks). I used Lugg for the delivery of a bed frame from a furniture store that I had purchased the prior day. The drivers were half an hour late to the pickup time window. The drivers were friendly upon arrival, however they failed to deliver a separate box containing the legs and remote for the frame. There is no way to contact Lugg by phone, and no way to contact the drivers onxs the delivery is completes, so I emailed support. The support team refused to take responsibility for the missing items, saying that the store never gave the drivers the box containing the extra pieces. Store workers confirmed with multiple people that the box containing these items had been handed to the drivers, who then signed for picking up both the frame AND the box. Support insisted it was either the store's fault for not giving them the box, or my fault for not specifically listing the box in my pickup request (I had no prior knowledge that the legs and remote would come in a separate container, so I had no way of knowing to list it). Overall an extremely difficult and frustrating experience. I don't think I would recommend using this app in the future. read more
