I would say that my experience with this doctor was positive, first I had to retake the usual vision tests, and after that was able to finally see the Doctor, and he was very informative and answered all of my questions, I also was remitted to a MRI, and after the MRI he called me back with the results, and answered all my questions. I was happy and comfortable with the whole process beginning to end, and I have to say that every person I interacted in the clinic was kind and helpful.

The staff is friendly, welcoming, and genuinely excited for you to experience your results! The office make the entire process easy and streamlined; from consultation to the procedure. In your consultation you learn about Lasik and PRK, meet with your Optometrist to ensure Lasik or PRK is right for you, and answer any questions you may have. If you choose to proceed, map out your payment and schedule your procedure. The procedure, very mild discomfort for less then 5 mins. Whole procedure is done in like 15 mins... 15 mins to clear eyesight! When you leave you are given meds, vitamins, eye drops to aid your healing. After the procedure, go home, take a nap or lay down in a dark room (or wear shades) with music, audio book, or podcast for a few hours. Your eyes will burn and sting but it's tolerable. They have it down to a science, pre, during and post surgery. It's a lot to take in so make sure you read everything that is provided because it will really help you get prepared for what is about to happen. The appointments are generally very quick once you get in so make sure you have any questions ready to go. Also, realize the actual Maitland Surgery Center is separate from the eye dr's office so if you can't get through, call the main Advent Health line and ask to speak to the President because it took that for me to actually speak to a live person rather than have a loop of a recorded message when I was first inquiring about my surgery. The head of Advent Health must have called them and made them stop sending everyone to vm because that BS stopped after my call.:) Also, make sure your bills are accurate from Maitland Surgery Center because I was charged for something I did not have done and was able to get a refund once I realized that fact. It's a little tricky when dealing with the stress of surgery and bills, but stay on top of things because mistakes do happen. Otherwise, the actual surgery was like sitting in an assembly line waiting for the dr to come take care of you next. We were all lined up on guerneys with curtains between each patient and one by one disappeared.:) I did exactly what I was told with the eye drops and was shocked at how good my eyesight was when I had the first eye done. It was like I was seeing everything in high def the colors and shapes were so defined. It stayed that way for my 2nd eye as well! There was some blurriness and difficulty as my brain adjusted to the new sight, but now that I have my reading glasses everything is sharp up close and far away! I can drive at night with no problem again and my biggest pleasure is being able to read again. I highly recommend Dr Auerbach and his team. Ignore all the minor annoyances like waiting to be seen, old furniture etc. What really matters is whether or not the Dr will help you see properly again and that's the real reason you're going to see Dr Auerbach. And I am so grateful and happy that I have my eyesight back to normal I had to share.

We were referred to this office by our pediatrician, and I'll admit I was a little nervous since I didn't know what to expect. I wasn't sure how they conducted eye exams on kids under two, and I wasn't sure how my son would react. All the staff members we encountered were kind and clearly communicated the process & next steps. My son has a minor astigmatism in both eyes, so they ended up needing to dilate them first. You can tell their team is well versed in working with children and they had a friendly, calming presence. My son actually did so well and was relaxed the entire time. Didn't even shed a tear. He received the eyedrops with ease and then we had to wait about 20 minutes for his eyes to dilate before seeing the doctor. The test consists of a series of lights and he was actually pretty mesmerized. Ultimately, we left with good news that he won't be needing glasses right away, and we'll come back again in 6 months to see if there's been any improvement. The cost (even with insurance) was the major bummer. They can't tell you how much it's going to be upfront because it depends on what tests they end up needing to do. So $300 later, this was an expensive preventative measure.

I had Lasik surgery on 1/25/07 to correct a lifetime of myopia and astigmatism. I have worn glasses…read moresince fourth grade, could not see the big 'E' on the Snellen eye chart. My vision could only be corrected to 20/40 with toric (for astigmatism) contacts. I could not be more pleased with my results. The screening process that I underwent before my surgery was extensive and extremely thorough. This was to ensure that I was a good candidate for Lasik, and to ensure a good result. The morning after my surgery (and my surgery was late in the day, at 4:15 p.m.), I was seeing well enough to drive myself to my follow-up appointment. I opted for monovision (one eye for reading and one for distance) and am now seeing 20/25, which is far better than I was seeing with my contacts. I highly recommend Dr. Parks and his wonderful staff. It's thrilling for someone who has suffered from extreme myopia for over fifty years to be able to see, read, and not have to use spectacles or contacts to do so. As a lifelong voracious reader, my eyes used to be so tired by the end of the day, and it is absolutely a gift to be able to read at length without eye fatigue. Thanks to Dr. Parks. my quality of life has greatly improved and I am so grateful to him.

I've gone to Dr Aziz for years, but the service continues to get worse. I was there two weeks ago…read more I commented to the technician that they didn't seem to have the same cleanliness measures that they use to have, She said that they wipe down the equipment. The next day I got a huge stye in my eye that still hasn't completely cleared two weeks later. But that's not the topping on the cake. My husband--who isn't very good about making appointments with Dr's until there is a need--got something in his eye that is causing him a lot of pain. He called and they turned him away, saying he hasn't been there in two years. I'm super tired about Dr's not caring about patients, but rather their own bottom line. So this office is another office that just plain doesn't care. Oh... but there is more. My mother had her cateracts done by Dr Aziz at least 10 years ago and still has trouble with her eyes, then my father's had his cateracts done by Dr Aziz and sees worse now than he did before the surgeries. I do not recommend this office or Doctor and I am super disappointed with the whole situation.
