Luis Butcher Shop is a small grocery store and butcher shop with a quick service take-out deli inside. They make an 18 hour chipotle smoked brisket that is devine and a must try. The brisket has a lot of flavor and works well in tacos, burritos and my favorite a sandwich. The brisket sandwich is made with a French roll cut in half and grilled with cheese, the brisket goes in and they add guacamole(I always exclude this as I'm not a fan of guac). There is something about the grilled cheese lining the bread that adds to the sandwich great taste. The brisket on its own is already delicious and amplified in the sandwich. The first thing you order here must be a brisket sandwich. It comes with chips and salsa too. If spice is not your thing, avoid the salsa as it has a kick. The chipotle on the brisket has a mild spice. Next try a Brisket Taco, this is a great way to try the brisket on its own. These tacos are a decent size of about 3-4 bites. The Brisket Burrito big enough to be two meals and definitely worth an order. I've had the Brisket Nachos too and wow was it a lot to eat. Also about two meals worth of food. I ordered a brisket sandwich, some pastor tacos and a Cemita poblano beef milanesa sandwich for myself. Let's start with the 18 hour smoked brisket sandwich. The sandwich was good, but lacked a little more flavor. Would I order it again? Probably not in the form of a sandwich, but tacos, yes! The Cemita poblano sandwich on the other hand, PHENOMENAL! Everything from the Cemita bread, to the cheese, milanesa beef and ham... excellent! Definitely will order that again and again. The tacos here are pretty solid. The asada and brisket are always good. But the Al pastor can be, hit or miss. On this day, HIT! They miss when they rush the cooking process. Another time I ordered pastor, it was wayyy to wet. Ordered a carne asada burrito. First impression, what a huge!! Burrito! It's a Goliath size burrito stuffed with meat, rice, beans, guacamole and pico de Gallo salsa. My second impression after the first bite is that the meat was really salty. Maybe it just over seasoned that day. I prefer a dry rub on my carne asada, the meat was covered in a sauce type of seasoning. I really didn't care for it. The rice, beans, guac and salsa all tasted fresh and great. Make sure you order a fork and lots and lots of napkins. there is no way a burrito that size will keep its integrity. A monster burrito that size cannot be man handled with your sheer hands but instead must be tamed with a fork in a civilized manner. Also I would like to share some notes as well. 1 being needs improvement, 10 being excellent Parking: 7.5 /10 shared parking lot with plenty of spaces Outside appearance: 7.4/10 buissines center could use a upgrade but luis butcher keeps their shop clean. Inside appearance: 8.7/10 older style liquor store vibe but everything is organized and clean. Limited seating for the food area. Staff service: 8.7/10 food service and cashier is always nice and helpful. The food service staff is always working hard and hustling in the kitchen to get the orders out fast. Food and restaurant experiance notes: I've been in this place plenty of times and ordered online. Both experiences have been amazing. Taco Thursday is the best day to go, the tacos are worth it. Shop here regularly. Meats have always been great. Prices are creeping up during the pandemic, but that's happening everywhere. So not a big deal. Burgers, full brisket, tomahawks, frenched ribeyes all great. Why 3 stars? My last visit I got 2 frenched ribeyes that went rancid by the next morning - so bad, I might add, that it stunk the fridge and I had to take it directly to the outside trash. Wasted $63. Did not have smells like other butcher shops. We went to get lunch, there were two Mexican lady's you order from. Got the brisket sandwich and man i am glad I did. Before I got my sandwich they asked if I wanted some soup. At first it was a little strange but I am so glad they game me a cup. It was some of the best soup I ever had. So on to the sandwich.
