Now the pigeons are gone, our panels are cleaned, the gutter is clear, and we've got mesh and spikes to hopefully prevent future roosting. They took away the major debris in a garbage bag and made sure to clear the sidewalk around the house as well. Beware of Rodrigo Perez of Lukas Pigeon Removal & Gutter Cleaning, a contractor for pigeon abatement. We contracted him and agreed to pay him $1,500 to do a pigeon waste clean up (removal) and install certain materials for pigeon abatement. We immediately paid him $1,500 after he said he had completed his job and trust him that he really did his job completely. The next day we noted something is leaking with our downspout which we noted was dented all over as he tried to unclog the pigeon waste by hammering the downspout. It looks like he washed out the pigeon waste through the downspout instead of removing them or putting them into a waste bag. Upon noticing the leak we asked other contractor to take a look at our roof to see if Rodrigo really did his job and noted that there are still a lot of pigeon waste left in the roof and there was even a dead pigeon left behind. We also asked the other contractor to take a look at the downspout that was looking and noted that the entire downspout was full of pigeon waste and so he take down the downspout to remove all the waste and clean it up. We paid this other contractor to do the remaining job that Rodrigo failed to do so we tried to request a partial refund of $300 from Rodrigo to compensate for what we have paid this other contractor and for the dented downspout. He asked for extensions and we have extended the payment deadline so many times. However, it has been two months and Rodrigo still did not pay us back the agreed upon refund of $300. We think two months is more than enough for him to come up with money to pay us back just $300 out of $1,500 that we paid him. We have decided to give him this review so that everyone will be aware of what he has done to us and so that no one else will be a victim of how he does his business. read more

Rodrigo responded quickly to my request for a quote to do 3 things: clean one short gutter (about 25 ft), replace another gutter that fell off and add screen to it, fix bent downspout and install a short gutter connector piece on another section that kept falling off (probably due to heat). He came in the morning, looked at the 3 things I needed done and said he was available to take care of it that day. He gave me a range and I said fine to go ahead and do a good job. Mine was a pretty small job. He was gone for a few hours to get the necessary gutter parts and came back in the afternoon. They were done in less than 2 hours. Love the communication via text per my request - on when he was coming for the initial quote and when he would be done with the job as I was going in and out. Price was reasonable (final cost was at the high end of his range). I forgot to ask about the Yelp discount. I won't know how well the gutters will work until the next rain. That is the real test. There was still a little bit of debris left on the ground where they cleaned the one gutter and some dirt was stuck on the window which I had to spray down myself. We agreed on the price and what work needs to be done then baam...NO SHOW NO CALL (RED FLAG#2). Rodrigo responded to my quote request in a few hours. He came that day to give an estimate of what I wanted and his pricing was fair and even matched another quote I was given. Rodrigo came to power wash the roof, add more netting, clean the gutters, add a windmill, and also move some spikes. He spent about 5 hours under the sun that day. I texted him a few days after because the pigeons migrated to another area of the roof with no spikes. He came back a second time to extend his services of abatement and added more spikes to the remaining areas of the roof free of charge. The only negative review I saw for him on Yelp mentioned his punctuality. Though he was also a little later to my home, he was close to the time range provided. He also texted me to let me know he was running late. I imagine in his line of work, it's difficult to pinpoint the exact timing of his jobs. For example his first trip to my roof lasted much longer than he anticipated but he stayed and thoroughly worked to get the job done. If I could give zero stars I would. I called because I had 2 pigeons that invaded my front porch and were causing a mess. Rodrigo reviewed the problem and then recommended I put up bird spikes around the whole house so they didn't relocate. He even recommended more discreet spikes. Everything seemed legit and he worked fast to put up the spikes. Then he said if there are still issues call him. This is where it went left. 2 days later the pigeons were back because he did not put spikes in the one location the pigeons were. If the location was too high for him to reach he should have said that. I called to have him come back arranged a time, he didn't show because he had his kid. Arranged a second time he didn't show because he said he was in the hospital. Weeks later arranged a time and he didn't show again. Mind you if he wasn't able to work he never disclosed that. I ended up using someone else and the problem was solved. We agreed I should get a partial refund since his work wasn't effective and you can guess it's been almost 2 months and no refund. Rodrigo and company replaced a skylight that had been damaged in winter storms. They were fast, efficient and clean. They also replaced a spark arrester in the chimney. My only regret is that I didn't specify a dark/smoky replacement. There are 2 parts to skylights. They matched the inner one which is a soft blue. The darker outer one helps keep the room below from getting too hot in the summer months. All in all, great company and I would hire them again. read more

We hired Rodrigo to take care of our pigeon problem (they were perching under our solar panels and not only were they extremely annoying and loud, there were pigeon droppings everywhere all the time) and while initially he was responsive, he never came back to finish the job. We hired him to install wire and spikes, and clean out our gutters filled with pigeon poop. It took him a couple tries to come out and actually start the job (we have a 3 story home and he forgot his tall ladder TWICE so we had to reschedule TWICE). The installation took a few hours and he worked by himself but he told us he'd come back and clean the gutters (which he included in his quote) because he had to go to another job. Over 2 weeks later he still hasn't come back and I'm getting mostly radio silence. Twice he's told me he's coming back, but never shows. We paid him the day of installation so he wouldn't go home empty handed, thinking I could trust him to come back and finish the job. Now I know better. I received a quote and agreed to a price. On the day of the installation, the solar panel mesh was installed but the spikes were not. I didn't find out till I looked closer at my roof and noticed they weren't there. I contacted the company and was told they didn't put them up but that he would come back and place them soon. Weeks have since gone by and the spikes are still not installed. I was debating leaving a poor review since he kept telling me he was "coming next week" to install it. Definitely a flake with multiple excuse. I've asked for a partial refund (for the spike installation) but haven't gotten a response, instead more promises about coming "next week" to install.
