Opened up the google app this morning to see what's the haps. Few scrolls and see that this beloved cafe truck re-opened this weekend in its new location in south sodo! Mon-Fri was coffee so we doing red bull today and the Sour Sunrise was perfect!!! Hit the spot good nice and tart covering the red bull taste mostly. Just what I needed. First time here (first impressions are everything) so I came and the person who made my drink & sandwich wasn't too friendly but it's fine idc tbh lol, I ordered a Ube Matcha drink (which was like a 4/10) & a sun dried tomato croissant that looked like a burnt sandwich. Went to work & opened up the bag and the sandwich was burnt to the crisp (I don't mind a little burn) but damn it was like really burnt. Came back a second time today for more ube cloud; submitted an online order for a matcha ube as I was picking up something else along the way. I left a note letting her know how much I loved the ube cloud latte yesterday. When I got there, Ana let me choose whether I wanted to top it off with ube foam or vanilla foam. She said she saw my note and guessed that since I came back for more ube, I'd probably enjoy ube foam on top as well. She absolutely did not need to do that; I would have been happy with the drink as it was. But the fact that she went out of her way to allow me customization based on a small note I left her speaks volumes about how much care she puts into her craft! If you want to be unwarrantedly accosted by a clearly miserable and unhappy middle aged white man, go to this coffee stand. Unfortunately, I am giving 2 stars not because of the owner/barista Ana or her service or the coffee. Overall the 2 times I have been there, Ana and the drinks she has made are good. I love supporting smaller coffee shops/stands. Sadly, I will not be going back & I am recommending people to NOT go here. Why?: When I arrived in my car in the morning, I began to order and realized there was a middle aged man standing centimeters away from my passenger window. Ana saw my confusion and tried to get the man to move but he wouldn't budge. Finally, when I had my drink and I wanted to drive out of there, I couldn't because it was either drive into the menu in front of me or run into this man that seems like he would have called the cops and caused a scene if I bumped into him. I didn't want to hit him either, I really was confused by his actions. I rolled down my window to ask him to please move a little, he ignored me twice and then the 3rd time said "huh" as if he had no idea I was there or could hear me which I knew he could. Finally I was able to leave and when I looked at my rearview mirror he was making mocking faces at me? Honestly all of it was so uncalled for. It's way too early to be that unhappy and miserable and put it on other people. He seems to be a regular which is why I won't be returning.
