Called this shop at 5:05 and the owner answered and said he would help me out even though they close at 5:00. He put my spare on for free. Our fifth wheel had a blowout on the Friday of memorial weekend. We were stuck on the side of the toll road in a dangerous location. We coasted to the nearest gas station and contacted Luling Tire Service. They were there within an hour and had our tire removed and replaced in minutes. They were also extremely reasonable in cost! 45 minutes after getting back on the road and in the middle of nowhere another blew out!!! After dark and after hours we called them back on the chance they could help us find another shop locally and to our amazement they dropped their dinner went to shop got 3 more tires and drove to our location and in no time had them all changed. Again reasonable cost!!! I can't say enough about their service and how personable they are! They went above and beyond on a holiday weekend!!! You won't regret using them. read more

I had a tire lose it's tread on I-10 while hauling a heavy load of hay a few miles West of Luling. I called Luling tire out on the road and Rusty said he had a tire. When I arrived, the shop was as busy as a beehive on a hot day. Rusty told me he would get to me as soon as he finished the vehicle he was working on. Rusty and his crew were scurrying around working on numerous tires for large trucks and passenger vehicles. After a short wait I was asked to move my truck and trailer in place so they could get my tire taken care of. Rusty quickly replaced the bad tire and we discussed replacing the other seven because they were old. Rusty told me he didn't have any more, but would order them and that they would be there in the morning. He sent me on my way and told me he would see me in the morning. I had just met this man and he didn't know me. Rusty treated me like a lifelong friend and shook my hand as I left. The next morning I arrived at 7:30. The shop was already well alive and several people were having tires worked on. Again, busy as a bee hive ! I have purchased tires from many other tire "stores" and shops. Always an unpleasant experience. Not here! I even got to visit with and old friend and a couple other friendly customers while my tires were being replaced. This review is starting to get very long winded, so I cut to the chase. Rusty and his crew do a phenomenal job. I have waited VERY much longer at 'big box tire shops' to have four tires replaced rather than the eight I had done. Old school, small town service with a smile. Thank you Rusty! Driving through Luling on our way to the valley from Austin on a late Friday afternoon, we had a flat tire. My husband unloaded all our luggage & tried to figure out the jack to our new vehicle. Rusty stopped and in a very friendly manner assisted with the jack & removing the flat. Ok, so Luling Tire is THE REASON I shop LOCAL! OK, maybe. not. exactly. But they are A reason. The real reasons I will drive 40 mi. to Luling to get a brand new set of tires when I need one is that I know the owner, Rusty. Rusty and his crew are honest to goodness, hard working, straight shooting, 'Mericans (using my best country draawwwlll...which comes in handy when your in Lulin'). In fact, I think Rusty may actually be my BTF (Best Tire Friend). Seriously, I'll drive that far for tires (as opposed to got to Discount or NTW here in Austin..) because I know that: 1.) I'll get the best deal possible deal on a set of tires imaginable. When I bought new mud tires for my Ford F-150 4X, I was amazed that the tires he recommended were so reasonably priced. 2.) I'll be dealt with fairly and honestly. No 'upsells' + No 'balancing charge' + No 'road hazard charge' + no haggling. The price he quotes to you is what you pay walking out the door = nice!! 3.) If you EVER have a problem with the tire you've bought from him, just call Rusty - he'll make it right - just like he always has. 4.) Top Service. I ALWAYS ask Rusty which tire he recommends - because he sees WAY more of them than I ever will - and I end up happy every time. Oh, and as a BONUS - every time I get home from a purchase, Rusty has called or texted me just to make sure I was happy and that the tires rode as expected. Srrsly, who does this??? We got a blow out on I-10 in Luling. On the entrance ramp by the bucees. We called Luling Tire Service because it says 24hours. Well let me tell everyone on yelp... it's not. The message tells you to call "Pat" well Pat doesn't answer. They shouldn't pay him his on-call rate. Our car is newer and doesn't come with a spare so we were stranded for hours. What professionalism! Rusty show me two new tires and put them on an Impala for me. I sold the Impala couple of weeks later so I went back to him to have him change out those new tires with some older cars on the sable. he seemed real busy so I went down the street and I had another tire guy do the changing for me. those tires wobbled every sense and the other guy tried to fix him twice couldn't get them properly balanced. nearly three months later I'm back at rustys telling him the story and he fixes them one shot perfectly and guess what no charge. this is good work done right just like it used to be in the old days. I recently was driving between Lockhart and Luling when my low tire pressure warning light came on. As the tire pressure continued to drop, I searched Yelp for tire service. Thank goodness it led me to Luling Tire Service. When I arrived, I had 10 lbs. of air left in my tire. Rusty removed my tire and it was determined my tire had picked up a screw.
