    Quality work pricing is average for flow filter sensor replacements. A friend recommended them and my infinity was ready in 24 hours.

He is 6 hours away from home and needed reliable transportation. Prior to purchasing the vehicle, they had to flush/change the antifreeze/coolant, replace the radiator, replace the radiator cap, replace the thermostat, replace place the water pump gasket, replace the water pump, replace the battery, replace/repair the blower motor, replace/clean the cabin air filter, check the engine/powertrain computer/module and change the oil and filter. I am thinking we are making a good purchase due to the listed repairs/replacements. The car has overheated twice since buying it. The first time, we took it up there and they replaced the lower radiator hose and flushed/changed the antifreeze/coolant. The second time it overheated, they are now telling us it needs a motor. Purchased it in February and we now need a motor in June. This is extremely frustrating and very unacceptable. They stated because he has driven the car almost 7K miles commuting back and forth to both jobs and school, that they can't help us out. They had no intentions of helping me out. As a single parent of 4 children, it is already difficult enough taking care of my children on my own and paying for college out of pocket. The last thing I needed was for an auto center to take advantage of me as a woman. This is beyond upsetting.

Took it to Jay and the team at Dealer Alternative Auto Care. Was a real mystery but they figured it out. The divers Side vanity mirror cover was broken making the battery drain and on top of that it triggered the original security system (witch has been disconnected for years) to kill the start of the car. As I don't live there as I live in another city, referred me to Dealer Alternative which I am so happy now that he did. They were so helpful and I even got to spend some time with a wonderful, beautiful , rescue dog, I believe her name was Sage, a Weimer Reiner mix. They were so efficient, quick, and kind with my situation, knowing that it was going to get dark soon and I needed my headlamp working. I live in a small town and it's hard to find automotive help right away when you need it. I highly recommend them and if I am back in San Marcos and need any other automotive help, I will definitely reach out to them. Five star service.

Not only was that surreal, but I had rolled into a business that I needed to have my car towed from pretty quickly. My usual mechanic lives a little way out of SM, and bc of the towing, I wanted to find someone nearby. We had stopped by two other shops with over a week wait when a friend recommended Frank's, who could get my car in that day. Everyone I interacted with was great there, and they tried very hard to get a difficult to find part for me as quickly as possible. I was impressed with the quick turnaround, and I was able to check-in and use their yelp offer too. All in all, glad to know where I can take my car in town if I have other issues.

I carefully…read moreexplained the issue with my car...both an ODBC scan and the information on the car's screen indicated a faulty Oil Temperature Sensor. The gentleman at the desk said they would need to check the thermostat as that sometimes caused the problem and quoted a price for the diagnostics. I let him know that the water temp was not reading high and reiterated that the problem was the oil temp sensor. He quoted me a price to replace it and I gave them my information and set up an appointment for the next morning. Later that day I got 2 additional phone calls that were so confused on their part that it gave me pause. I took the car in anyway the next morning and on the way home I received a call telling me that they were seeing an a code for the faulty oil temp sensor and did I want to fix that too. Completely exasperated by their lack of understanding of the situation I asked them to give me an updated quote and was told they would get right back to me. Two hours later I received a call with what seemed to me a ridiculously high price based on the information I had available (and much higher than the original quote). When I picked up the car without them doing any work they seemed totally unconcerned about the loss of business. Caveat Emptor
