I first found out about them through their YouTube channel and after watching just a few of their videos I knew without a doubt that I wanted them to do my piercings. I took my 13 year old daughter to get her ears pierced tonight. We arrived at Lulu's around 6:30, shortly before store closing at 7. The team was very patient explaining what the process would be, what to expect, and their piercing approach verses the standard ear piercing kiosk. After listening to their philosophy my daughter decided that she would like to go forward with her first ear piercing. Again the team was super patient while we filed out the application and selected the right hardware. Keep in mind that my daughter is deathly afraid of needles! When it was our turn we were escorted to a private room where the process was explained in detail. Once we all agreed on the piercing locations for each ear we got started. The first ear was a piece of cake, calming my daughters fears. The next ear was a little problematic and my daughter began to get concerned and scared. The gentleman helping us remained calm while talking her through what was going on and what he was going to need to do. After a few minutes we had a successful, slightly sore, second ear. I regret not getting the gentleman's name to acknowledge him directly. The entire experience was very professional and my daughter is thrilled with her newly pierced ears! AVOID!!! I took a gamble coming here and I would not return. This was my second helix piercing, as I had another done at a actual shop, and this one did not heal well at all. The helix piercing I received here was put at the wrong angle, and the healing was sooo difficult. About 4months in, it was still bleeding when I cleaned it. I've already had a helix piercing prior to this,so I know how it should feel and heal.The piercing done by LuLu caused me so much trouble. Right when I got it, it was bleeding for ten minutes. NEVER have I had a piercing bleed this much. I ended up taking antibiotics since this piercing has so much pus. Several weeks later, I had to switch the earring as the pierce did not account for the swelling and I had to switch to a hoop to allow for circulation. AVOID AVOID AVOID While their spin the wheel deals are good, ( I received two piercings here for $35 dollars- a helix and a lobe), the crooked helix piercing angle is such a deterrent. The angle of the gem is supposed to be facing straight and not to the side. I contemplating taking this piercing out, but have yet to so so. The lobe piercing healed fine. But I would not return as their cartilage work is not good quality. read more

I came in here with my two friends the other day. It was quite busy but we were helped quickly and everyone was very nice and professional. The prices are a little steep but I think it's worth it. I got my cartilage pierced about 5-6 months ago and really wanted the jewelry changed. I'm so happy I did. Although it hurt to get it changed (which is to be expected considering it wasn't fully healed) I'm so happy I did because they were able to push out the gunk and irritation from my old piercing and now a few days later, it feels 100 times better. Repeat customer who will never return. As a mom of 3 daughters, I've had lots of experience with ear piercing. We will not be back to Lulu's nor will we recommend to anyone. Long story short: $415 for a 3rd ear piercing is unacceptable. The girls went on their own as a special outing. They were shown the tray of earrings for lobe piercings and the least expensive option was $100. Turns out at checkout they discovered it's $100 for each earring top and $70 for each post. So $340 for the earrings and then the cost of the service. The girls felt pressured and didn't ask for other options because they were all told this was the tray of options. I wish I'd have been there, because we would have left. Instead, my daughters, who are college students making minimum wage, paid $415. The last time we were here, which was 18 months ago, it was $90 total. Lulu's should be ashamed of themselves. Taking advantage like this. If you read the other reviews, you'll see it's common practice only showing the higher priced options. IMPORTANT TO REITERATE: The tray of options for piercing is presented as, "Here are our options for lobe piercings." If the tray was presented as, "Here are some of our options," then people would know to ask for less expensive options. read more

As a repeat customer of Lulu's, dating back to the days of the Norwalk location, I was really disappointed by my most recent visit to the Westminster mall location. I made an appointment online to re-pierce my ears which closed up about a year ago, and I was counting on this experience to be great just like my previous ear piercings and nipple piercings were with them in the past. However, I pretty much paid about $133 for both my ears to get pierced... I made it clear I wanted something simple put in just so it can heal, so I can replace it with small black hoops because that's my preferred earring style. Yet, the girl in the front kept insisting on me purchasing these "14k gold" lightning bolt earrings and opal earrings, which I was clearly not interested in. The earring collection was extremely small, and looked like earrings you'd put in a 6 year old girl's ear, and they are extremely overpriced. THAT is when I should have respectfully canceled my appointment and left. Essentially, I ended up paying $88 for these alleged titanium studs that were the only option for an earring that was going to work for a grown man like me. However, the one's that were inserted into my ears don't quite look like the ones I was shown at the counter... So now I'm really suspicious and I wish I would have been more assertive and said something. Altogether, if it wasn't for Harrison (the man who pierced my ears and did an excellent job), I would have left this establishment a 1 star. I pierced BOTH my nipples with this place back in the day and my total cost was $70 max, so I'm trying to figure out how I ended up paying $133 for both my EARS. Honestly, if you want your ears pierced, just go to a tattoo/piercing shop that will charge you a fraction of what I paid, and you'll leave satisfied. read more

Great customer service! I got my nose pierced here in June and last night accidentally got it caught on my towel after my shower and pulled the piercing apart. Came in today after being told it would be free to get it back in with the original jewelry from their shop over the phone. They had said it was $5 when we walked in, but didn't know who would've answered. Gabriel was great and let me get it put back in for free today and again if it comes out within a week, but $5 after that. I remember a few years ago this place looked so dope and they had a lot more earring options back then. That being said I was surprised when I came back here 3 weeks ago, the store now looked like a makeup studio with very limited choice of earrings. The good thing about this place is it's a body piercing shop in a mall, it's convenient for those who don't want to make a trip to a busy tattoo shop just to get their tragus pierced. The earrings can be expensive and you must buy the earrings from them, they don't allow outside jewelry. I bought the cheapest one they had despite the sales girl trying to get me to buy the more expensive ones. The reason is I just needed a temporary earring, when it's healed I will buy a nice fancy stud from a real jewelry place that carries a lot more options for me to choose from. Overall, this place is cool for those who want to get a quick piercing since making an appointment is easy especially on weekdays; but be mindful about purchasing their earrings. read more

PRICEY BUT WORTH IT!!! Ive been here twice so far and I want to keep going back. My piercings have healed sooooo well and the placements and piercings are f*cking gorgeous. It's on the pricey end but I've had such a positive experience here that I keep coming back. I truly believe that investing in a quality piercing makes all the difference in the healing process. You only spend like 15 minutes in there max, but the healing processes are months long. (This was during summer) I had my nose piercing pierced for over a year and decided to come here to get it switched for a bigger stud. I chose my stuff and I payed I think a $5 fee for them to help me so it was like a $120 in total to switch my piercing and plus I tipped them which I regret now but whatever the girl was really nice. But I'm just upset that they never told me they had to force a bigger needle into my nose to switch my new nose piercing, they literally just did it on the spot without telling me and I was like WTF it literally hurt so much!! It hurt like 10 times more than getting it actually pierced. And I think at the time it was someone who was training doing it and she took so long to put it in my nose because she was struggling to stuff the bigger needle. you have no idea I was literally tearing and shaking because it took what felt like 5 minutes just to stuff the needle bc she also had to go back and forth to stop my bleeding bc I was bleeding everywhere and this didn't even happen when I got my nose pierced so I started panicking and my mom was just staring at me like crazy. The girl who did it was really nice though which made me feel at ease but I just hated how they didn't inform me before they changed it!! and it's crazy cause one of the girls that work there was recording me even told me "I couldn't even look at it" bc it looked painful. Nd my blood was dripping sm I literally felt the warm liquid all up on my face and after I got it switched, my nose was so sore the whole day, I literally couldn't move my nose for the whole week. And when I first pierced my nose, it was never like that, I was able to touch my nose and everything the second I got it and it felt like nothing. Nd I had to treat the piercing like a whole new piercing again. Lol now I'm traumatized and refuse to change my nose piercing ever again. I would literally rather get the feeling of my nose being pierced 20+ times than go through this experience ever again omg. I had such high expectations too. read more

I was walking around the mall with my cousin and saw the shop and thought, "omg, I should get my belly piercing redone," since my last belly ring fell out and the hole closed up. I've been so sad about it since then, but was too lazy to ever get it redone lol I walked in and was greeted by a very nice lady named Hannah who immediately tended to me and asked what I was looking for. She answered all my questions and eased my concerns about repiercing my naval. She was an absolute sweetheart but also very informative and knowledgeable. It was a spontaneous decision to get my naval re-pierced so I was a little on the fence about getting it done. I asked her if I could come back after I gave it some thought and she said sure! She even signed me up for an appointment and told me she could text me to let me know when Johnny (the piercer) was ready since he had a few clients ahead of me. She had me read two forms (one was on piercing aftercare, the other was a liability sheet) and asked for my ID. I came back a little later because I managed to convince my cousin, who was walking with me, to get her ears pierced. She's been wanting to get them done forever but never had the courage to because she was terrified of the process. I told her if I was getting my belly done, she could get her ears done too! Lol so we came back to make her an appointment as well and Hannah (the girl who was helping us) recognized us and set us up immediately. I then had my cousin get her ears pierced first so she couldn't back out lol Johnny pierced her ears and I can see that he made her feel extremely comfortable and calm. I saw him talking to her a lot and informed her about everything. It was really nice to see that and know that my little cousin was in good hands. Honestly, I just didn't want to take my cousin back home and get my butt beaten by my aunt if the piercing went wrong, so I was relieved Johnny was a clear professional! I was up next and Johnny asked me a few questions about my previous piercing. He had me stand while I got pierced and asked me how long I had my piercing for and how long ago did it fall out. I told him it was about less than a year for both those questions and he looked at my scar and said, "hmm.. hold up, let me try something." You know what homeboy did after cleaning it? He straight up just pushed the jewelry in! No needles required. Then he said he was only going to charge me for the jewelry, and not the piercing process itself, which would've been $50. Instead, he only charged me $15 for the ring. I was so amazed. What a sweet guy. It didn't hurt at all and he really knew what he was doing. (I KNOW for sure that my belly ring hole had closed up bcuz I had tried (for daaays) to try and stuff my ring back inside when it had fallen out. I've sat down crying from the pain of trying to push the jewelry through and gave up.) HOWEVER, Johnny took a few good looks at it, analyzed my belly, and immediately knew what to do. I was literally in the room for less than 4 minutes. My cousin's ear piercing took longer lol Bottom line, these people are true professionals and they are extremely kind. He could've totally charged me the entire $50 for it and I wouldn't have known any better. The integrity that these people have for the craft is superb. The girl said it was $40 each for the service fee and this did not include the jewelry, which I found odd since I have been here a few times before to get a total of 4 piercings and never had to pay such extra. On top of all that, she was rude and had an attitude because some sample piercings fell out of the case when I was picking them even though I said sorry a couple of times. She kept shaking her head and sighing the entire encounter. I ended up leaving and did not get it done.
