I got my ears pierced, but noticed that the earrings looked very droopy. The technician said he put long posts on, in case they would swell. He said that he would change to a shorter post if I came back in a month. This was $150, plus tip. After a couple of weeks, the earrings continued to look ridiculous, as they appeared to be falling out of my ears. I called and explained the problem. They said I could walk in any time during open hours. When I did, they said I could get a "discount" and pay $63 to replace the posts that were too long from day one. This did not include the decorative part of the earrings, only the 1/8" posts. At no time, on the day of piercing, or on the phone call, was there mention of additional fees for earrings that were too long when they were 1st placed. If you want to pay a hefty amount and your piercings to look idiotic, here's your place. read more

I understand they were low on stock because of the Friday the 13th sale--that's totally reasonable--but what really threw me off was the lack of basic customer service. I'm sorry, but if you're working the front desk in customer service, isn't your role literally to help customers? I can't tell you how much I love this studio. I had to go back last week to have them remove my nose ring for a CT scan (dropped back by right after so they could put it back in). They were awesome, as always, and cheerfully got me in and out amidst delightful banter both times. When I had to go back today for the same reason (because the CT results weren't great, I'll leave it at that), they were just so kind and sweet and seemed genuinely affected by my situation. So yeah, go here. Go here for all your piercings, and anything related to said. They are not only great at their jobs, but they are truly kind people and I am grateful I discovered this studio years ago, and have rediscovered it in the last couple of months. I did so much research prior to deciding on a studio and piercing artist for my second-ever body piercing - septum piercing! And all that I read about John, New Flower, and Black Raven (tattoo parlor that hosts New Flower piercings several times a week) convinced me this was the best choice - and my wonderful experience confirmed it! I was especially excited about my money going to a vegan artist. John's resume is so impressive. Taken from his bio to prove my point: "Red Cross instructor and authorized OSHA trainer who provides Bloodborne Pathogens Standard Training on behalf of the Association of Professional Piercers (APP). He manages the online education platform for the APP and is a member of BAEA, AFDO, NEHA, and APP body art and legislation committees." I mean, who wouldn't feel comfy, cozy, confident about getting pierced by this industry badass? John made me feel very at ease, super comfortable with the somewhat unnerving process of being pierced through a beloved facial feature, and it was so much more gentle and mild than I anticipated. The aftercare instructions made me super confident about taking care of my new piercing and keeping it clean, healthy, and healing as quick as possible. I read so much online about aftercare prior to my appointment but John's advice slightly differed (he uses retainers for safer healing, which heal faster and better when flipped inside (which is convenient for hiding it if you need to!) The experiences I had read about online involved the putting in of actual jewelry (like a clicker or barbell) fresh after the piercing and this isn't as safe or conducive to the healing process. In short, I cannot recommend New Flower Studio enough for all your piercings. And if you're already pierced, they have a curated selection of gold, rose gold, and silver jewelry with real gemstones that is gorgeous and constantly rotating. Go to New Flower! This place is so great! I got my navel piercing down here and the staff was just so friendly. I did a walk in and they were able to take me the lady at the front desk, walked me through my piercing, and then when I was taking to the back, the piercer walked me through. He was gonna do. They sterilize everything quite well. He marked it on my body and then having check it out in the mirror. The process was so good and definitely worth the money. What can I say? I am loyal to my piercing shops when I know they'll provide me with quality piercing, instructions and knowledgeable help. I'm visiting Cali for a few weeks and decided it was time to get my septum ring changed out after 2 years of the training bar because I was too lazy to find a shop in Germany or England. So I decided to make a quick appointment online for today (19 Oct) for a piercing purchase/change. Now it's been a hot minute since I've been to NFS so having all the prices laid out was great. The fee for a piercing view/purchase is $15 and then of course the fee for whatever jewelry you select. I opted to have my nostril hoop changed out for an internally threaded opal bar and a seamless hoop for my septum. I didn't get the name of the girl at the desk, but she was super sweet, helped me pick the opal piece out and even offered her advice on which size she thought would fit me best and we ended up agreeing on the same sized one. My piercer was Kenny, and he was so chill. Thoroughly helped me assess which would be best for my septum since I do have a deviated septum and while my piercing is straight when looking at it head on, if I tilt my head up you can see the way it was pierced to assist in the frontal placement appearing straight. So instead of going with another horseshoe shaped bar, we went seamless and he found one that fit my nose perfectly. After my jewelry was picked out, Kenny set up the room and set me up. He forewarned me about a little discomfort but as a girl with allergies, my nose is used to being manhandled a bit so it was completely painless to have the new septum ring placed. Didn't even tickle. Because I was just existing there without flinching, he did check to make sure I was okay, which was appreciated because I'd zoned out a bit. Total price for the appointment and jewelry was $75, which was pretty great because my nostril piece is Anatometal, one of my favorite piercing brands. My conch piece is by them as well haha. Anyways -- 5 stars as usual for great service, ease of finding what I needed and getting my new hardware set up. I have come here for a total of 7 piercings and one piercing removal. The piercing I had gotten removed was done in a different studio. The studio was clean, and the piercers were incredibly knowledgeable. They gave a thorough explanation of aftercare. The employees are supportive if you get a bit nervous and will coach you through the pain. I do have to admit it is a bit pricey, but it is well worth it. The jewelry is high quality and does not break. They use practices that ensure a higher likelihood of the piercing healing properly and lower your chances of your body rejecting it. Was having some issues with removing an earring with a somewhat new piercing so I called around and New Flower Studio was the only place that had availability on a Sunday. They do charge $15 just to remove and clean which is a bit high but at least the whole procedure was done pretty fast which I appreciated. I wasn't used to having to lie down to have the earring removed so when John (I believe that's his name?) instructed me to lie down, I was confused. It was kind of weird that when I asked if he thought my ears were infected, he said he couldn't offer medical advice which was unexpected for a piercing shop. The prices at this shop are quite high for what it is, but best to do your research before committing to getting anything done at these types of places. If I wanted another piercing, I would look to other options first since I feel like, for the price of services here, I could get better and more comprehensive service elsewhere. read more

I can't say enough great things about the shop. For starters this is a piercing shop only, that is what they specialize in and they are incredible. I drove a couple hours just to see John. He was listed for a very specific piercing as one of the few in the United States that knows how to do it properly. I do not recommend coming here. I got my 8th piercing here so I definitely know what to expect when it comes to piercings. The first moment I saw it my first thought was "this hoop is too big for my ear." But he said it was "perfect size" so I thought okay he knows better probably considering he's the professional. Wrong. I had to move it 3 days later and "pop" out the hoop from the crevice in my ear because it was pushing on my ear and causing so much pain. But once I did that it felt great so I thought okay, I'm fine now, I'll just let it heal and replace it eventually when it's ready. Also wrong. 1.5 weeks later it is now seriously hurting. Went to another piercing place to get it looked at and see what they recommend. Sure enough she says not only is the hoop too big, it also is not pierced deep enough specifically at the bottom. So I got it removed and now wasted $300. Will not be coming back unfortunately. Their other work seems good but getting this daith done was a nightmare. read more

However charging $15 to be able to come in and purchase jewelry is NOT. And another $15 if you want them to change out the jewelry for you?? I'm super into investing in high quality jewelry and love the experience of being able to go to a private piercing studio. I have not been pierced here, but recently purchased jewelry for my philtrum at this establishment and had some of my threadless tops moved around to other spots. The flat disc that I purchased fell out and I didn't have it for more than three weeks. The owner understood that buying gold jewelry is an investment and was able to replace my jewelry for me at a reasonable price. Even with my jewelry falling out, I still had pleasant experiences during both my visits here. The piercers that serviced me were both very nice and made me feel comfortable. They're APP members as well and offer a decent sized variety of threadless jewelry in rose, yellow, and white gold. As someone who use to be a counter girl, they have all the good jewelry brands from Buddha, Anatometal, to Junipurr, which means it's all cute, current stuff that offers a range of affordable to more pricey selections!! I think that the most important thing about being here is that I felt like this establishment is an inclusive place with diverse staff. They promote a safe, healthy, clean environment. There is the option to make appointments online or walk-ins. I was lucky to be serviced pretty quickly with walk ins around opening time on weekdays, so I'm not sure what the weekend/later in the day looks like here. I'd still recommend making an appointment just to be on the safe side. They are respectful to COVID guidelines and have a limit to how many customers can be in at a time. read more

Had a great experience with Shwayze last week. He was very knowledgeable and helped me to choose piercings that were right for my body. I appreciated him letting me know what would work for my body rather than just letting me get something that wouldn't work long term. I ended up with a double helix, nipple, and a second nostril piercing. This is the second time I've had my nipples and my nose pierced. I wish I knew Shwayze years ago because when he pierced me it was not as painful as the first time. The first time I got my nipples pierced years ago, I had bleeding and pain afterwards for a week or so (no infection just my body's healing process). This time I have no bleeding or soreness. This is a business that prides itself on quality, so I'm sure all the piercers are good, but I definitely wanted to give Shwayze a shout out. read more

I just got a piercing done by John, not at this location but at the booth rented out inside Black Raven Tattoo in Torrance. I heard this is his home shop so I'm leaving the review here. Omg, I've been to multiple piercers in the past but John was so amazing compared to anyone else I've dealt with. He answers every question thoroughly with honestly and courtesy. He is very gentle and explains every step of the process, from when he's going to go sanitize your new jewelry to what part of his body will be in contact with yours during the piercing process.
