I did so much research prior to deciding on a studio and piercing artist for my second-ever body piercing - septum piercing! And all that I read about John, New Flower, and Black Raven (tattoo parlor that hosts New Flower piercings several times a week) convinced me this was the best choice - and my wonderful experience confirmed it! I was especially excited about my money going to a vegan artist. John's resume is so impressive. Taken from his bio to prove my point: "Red Cross instructor and authorized OSHA trainer who provides Bloodborne Pathogens Standard Training on behalf of the Association of Professional Piercers (APP). He manages the online education platform for the APP and is a member of BAEA, AFDO, NEHA, and APP body art and legislation committees." I mean, who wouldn't feel comfy, cozy, confident about getting pierced by this industry badass? John made me feel very at ease, super comfortable with the somewhat unnerving process of being pierced through a beloved facial feature, and it was so much more gentle and mild than I anticipated. The aftercare instructions made me super confident about taking care of my new piercing and keeping it clean, healthy, and healing as quick as possible. I read so much online about aftercare prior to my appointment but John's advice slightly differed (he uses retainers for safer healing, which heal faster and better when flipped inside (which is convenient for hiding it if you need to!) The experiences I had read about online involved the putting in of actual jewelry (like a clicker or barbell) fresh after the piercing and this isn't as safe or conducive to the healing process. In short, I cannot recommend New Flower Studio enough for all your piercings. And if you're already pierced, they have a curated selection of gold, rose gold, and silver jewelry with real gemstones that is gorgeous and constantly rotating. Go to New Flower! Big parking lot with tons of parking. Cool location!

This is the piercing I wanted from the start! I got it after the 2nd visit!

I visited the shop to get a septum piercing. Booking online was a breeze, and the studio's cleanliness was impressive. My piercer was skilled, and the process virtually painless. Here is why I am not giving them 5 starts. The front-of-house staff initially limited my jewelry options to a U-shaped piercing, dismissing my concerns about its security, citing it as the 'worldwide standard.' Predictably, it fell out, leading to a return visit where I discovered a there were many options of piercings to chose from !!! I respect the healing process; which is why I agreed to the initial jewelry. That said, Clearer communication upfront about available choices would have greatly improved the experience.

The customer service was amazing, from the time I walk through the door to the explanation to the aftercare. I just got a simply nose piercing and the attention to detail was above par. Thanks again to Brielle and staff .

Is New Flower Studio currently doing nose piercings?

No. As long as mandatory face coverings/masks are required in public spaces, we will NOT be offering any services under a mask (nose, oral). There are NO exceptions

Are you guys still doing piercings right now?

Unfortunately we've been closed since March but hope to reopen soon! Check back on our website or social media!

A septum piercing is $72 for the service and jewelry included. Standard pricing is always available on our website, for future reference. Thanks for inquiring!

They do not pierce anyone under the age of 16. You need to have a valid ID card or proof of age. Check my review for more details.

We do! We encourage scheduling an appointment if you're planning to get pierced, especially on the weekends, we tend to be pretty busy. You can schedule and check pricing on our website! Thanks for asking!

We were looking for someone we could trust to resize my custom engagement ring shortly before our wedding. Unfortunately, our experience made us leave almost immediately and take our ring elsewhere, I'd make sure you do not trust them with your custom jewelry. We initially called and were greeted very warmly over the phone and told to come in so they could take a look at the ring. The woman who greeted and assisted us in person was friendly, but once the other woman came in, I don't even think she introduced herself...we started discussing the actual resize, the experience became concerning. My engagement ring has two diamonds set inside the band at the 6 o'clock position. Preserving those diamonds and their placement was one of our biggest concerns, and we explained that. There was essentially no discussion about how the resize would affect them or how they would be protected. She simply took the ring and began making notes. Then came the sizing. I know approximately what size I wear, but the "6.5" sizer I was given was so tight that I actually started questioning whether I had been wrong about my own ring size( she did not give me the correct 6.5 sizer) . She also measured my existing engagement ring and confidently told us it was a 7.25. We knew that was not correct and have the original GIA/documentation for the ring. At that point, we became extremely uncomfortable leaving such an important piece of jewelry there. We were also eventually told that the jeweler who would actually perform the work would not even be in until Tuesday. Yet we were discussing leaving my engagement ring there and being given a Saturday completion date without having spoken to the person doing the work, without a clear explanation of how the custom diamonds would be handled, and with both my finger and existing ring apparently being sized incorrectly. My fiancé asked, can she try on a ring to see, she simply mumbled we don't CARRY RINGS OF HER SIZE. A fine jeweler doesn't carry any 6.5? Even an estate ring? Once we asked? So are we just leaving it here she said, yes? I immediately took my ring back. We were also asked outright how much my engagement ring was worth, which felt surprisingly inappropriate and uncomfortable. especially standing there with my fiancé. If there was a legitimate insurance or liability reason for asking, none was explained. The jeweler we ultimately trusted with the ring never needed to ask us that question; they evaluated the ring itself, reviewed the relevant documentation, discussed the custom work with us, and focused on the actual resize. When we left and went elsewhere. The difference was immediate. An actual jeweler correctly measured my ring ( very different size than at mark Schneider) helped me determine the best finished size and fit, discussed the two interior diamonds and confirmed how their placement would be preserved, reviewed the ring documentation with us, and gave us a clear completion date. That is the level of care and confidence we expected when handing over an engagement ring. Resizing a custom engagement ring requires PRECISION and TRUST. When an establishment presents itself as fine jewelry, I expect the person accepting a client's jewelry to either have the knowledge to properly assess it or simply say, "Our jeweler isn't here today; please come back when they can personally evaluate your ring." We came in wanting to give a local business our business. Instead, we left feeling relieved that we trusted our instincts and did not leave my ring behind. Based on our experience, I would not entrust an important or custom piece of jewelry here for repair or resizing or at all. What makes the experience even more disappointing is that the resize wasn't necessarily going to be our only business with Mark Schneider. We were also interested in discussing a custom men's wedding band. We specifically sought out a fine jeweler with custom experience because we wanted a relationship with someone we could trust with important pieces. After this interaction, there was simply no chance we felt comfortable moving forward with either.

Was really hoping to add to the great reviews, especially since it's a local business, but I didn't love my experience. I stopped by on a slow day to have my bracelet assessed and the woman in the store was a little rude. I was the only customer in the store but wasn't greeted, had to initiate the conversation about what I needed, and didn't receive a smile. The reviews had mentioned friendliness and warmth from store employees, so I was a little taken aback. I was then quoted $30 to fix my bracelet, which was then bumped up to $60 because the chain was broken in two spots instead of one. I'm not very familiar with jewelry repair prices, but the price bump did seem a little steep. I still decided to move forward with the repair and was told I'd be contacted for pick-up in two weeks. Two weeks went by and I didn't receive a single text or call about progress or pick-up. I finally called myself and my bracelet was ready, I just hadn't been contacted. Quality of the repair seems fine, but given the experience, I probably will support another local jewelry business instead.

I was quoted a little over $200 for the diamond replacement and a very minor resize of ¼ size down. When I went to pick up the ring, I was informed--after the work was already completed--that additional prongs had been replaced on both sides of the ring and that I now owed an extra $240. I was never contacted, informed, or asked for approval before this additional work was done. The explanation given was that some of the prong work was necessary due to resizing. However, after waiting over 40 minutes at pickup because the ring was "in billing," I was then told the resize had actually been forgotten entirely and had to be done on the spot. This made the justification for the unapproved prong work even more concerning. After calling twice and initially being brushed off by sales associates, I finally spoke with the owner, who acknowledged that I had not consented to the extra work and agreed to waive the additional charge. While I appreciate the owner ultimately correcting the billing, the situation itself should never have occurred. Jewelry--especially a wedding band--is deeply personal. Any additional work, design changes, or charges should never be performed without explicit customer approval. Between the unapproved services, forgotten resize, and billing delay, the experience felt disorganized and stressful. I would urge future customers to proceed with caution, insist on written estimates, and require approval before any additional work is done.
