I had my nostril pierced 3 months ago. I had a stud in and wanted to change to a hoop. Guy behind the counter suggested a size and I asked him to put it in for me. I don't recall if he cleaned the area first before putting in the hoop but anyhow, he put in the new hoop... $10 piece of jewelry. He put it in right there and then at the counter... I didn't have to go back in the well lit room. 3 days later, the hole is secreting goo and forming a keloid. I have been cleaning it with saline 2x day and have not messed with it. I wish I would have asked... Or been told... What kind of jewelry they put in because $10 is pretty cheap. 2 stars because the people seemed nice... The front looked clean and organized but I can't vouch for the backroom or the piecing talent since I didn't go back there. read more

Had a great time being pierced by this store they do upload videos from YouTube and I am like a huge fan of theirs. When I walked in at first it was kind of gloomy and dark the lighting isn't the best but when you go in the lights there it get brighter. I saw the guys there and the ladies who was working. It's a clean and friendly shop. I like that they only use needles. I had piercings with a gun before and that took forever to heal. Recently, I only gone with Royanna to get pierced. I got my cartilage, nose piercing (twice. I let it closed), rook and industrial. I been coming here for about 2-3 years. Took our daughter here last week to get her ears pierced. Before we arrived, I called to ask them what their policy was on piercing children's ears. Their age limit is at least 3 years old (to get pierced), and you need to bring a valid form of id for your child (in our case we brought a passport). When we got to the store, we were 3 people behind, but we didn't wait any longer than 20 minutes to be seen. The cashier was friendly and helpful in answering my questions. One of the guys that worked there was so kind to my daughter that upon getting her ears pierced, he gave her some gummies and encouraged her braveness. We were so thankful that Lulu's is conveniently located in a shopping mall because we were so close to just getting our daughters ears pierced at Claire's but had heard some stories about needle guns not being as sterile as the needles in a tattoo or piercing shop. With lulus around, we felt more at peace knowing that the workers were licensed to do piercings and even had their certifications on display in the store. Still a very bad place to get piercings. And the fact that the owner blames me for purchasing the "gold plate" when he says himself that they no longer use that type of piercing. Wonder why they don't use it? Could it possibly be because it causes graying of the skin??? How arrogant and dickish to blame the customer for purchasing your shop's best quality product. Because at the time I got my piercing, a year ago, this is the best your crappy shop had. And further more, what would you have me do? come into your sub-par shop to tell you that your inferior jewelry caused my skin to gray? It's irreversible! They've got lots of customers, even during COVID! Most people are here on appointment and waits outside the door far far apart for their appointment. The lady at the front was super nice! I wanted to get nip piercings but the only piercer was a guy, however he was extremely patient and nice and it was not uncomfortable at all (except for the pain from the piercing, of course)! The piercing room is sanitized after every customer and they took enough COVID measures to make me feel safe. Wonderful experience! Went in on Tuesday afternoon for a new Conch piercing. Johnny was my piercer and he did a great job. I loved how calm he was. Just a super chill experience, overall. I got my nose pierced here about 2 months ago. It was quick, easy, painless (although I almost passed out lol), and affordable. I was very pleased with the service done, the employees are nice. I returned to LuLu's after my piercing fell out, I lost it. I spent about a day without the piercing in. All I needed was to purchase another stud. The guy working upfront told me they'd put it in for me, and all I would pay for was the jewelery itself. I went into their backroom where another worker (lady) was waiting for me. She used a tool intended to clear the piercing so she could easily slide in the new stud. She put it in and said "uh oh won't go any further. You need to get it pierced again." She barely even tried to push it through. I was surprised. "Oh really? Wow okay, didn't think it would close that quickly." She recommended "You can do it now, but it'll be more sensitive. Or wait a week for it to heal completely then come back." The guy in the front didn't seem to think I would need to get it re-pierced so why did she think different? A little fishy. I told her I would wait it out, and thanked her for the (bullsh*t) recommendation. I went to another piercing shop to purchase one of the same size, and material as my original stud. Went home. Cleaned it. And popped the new stud in, no problems. Just a little pinch (as expected). So why is it that the employee from LuLu's wasn't able to do what I did myself in my bathroom? I'm pretty confident that she was just trying to get me to make another purchase. Not cool guys! This place has good prices, and their tools are clean. Pretty proffesional. But the lack of integrity and honesty from your employee (lots of piercings, dark short brown hair, soft voice, dunno her name, you can figure it out) has turned me off from your business. Bad experience. We went there the first time with my daughter with no.ID for her so we left. We came back to days later with her state school ID and my State ID. We got turned away again. They dont accept school IDs with her father standing right next to her. Airlines except school IDs. Ridiculous. We we never go back. read more

So 5 stars for Johnny. When I first visited Lulu's, I had to replace my Daith with a plastic piece for an MRI I had the next day. I was a walk-in on a Friday morning. No wait. It was awesome. Came back shortly after I had my MRI done to switch my jewelry back + get three additional piercings (double helix and conch). They were the speediest, most painless piercings I had ever gotten. 5 stars for Gabe's speed and humor as well. When I had to get another MRI a few months later, I made sure to make an appointment. Gabe was the only piercer available that day, so I took it. Switched out my daith to a plastic piece once again. Returned the next day to put a fresh titanium curved barbell in my daith (the ring I originally had had too much movement, which ended up with piercing bumps at either entrance). I was also able to switch out my conch and helix piercings since they were all healed up. Two stars deducted for the following reasons: 1) I made an appointment twice to see Gabe two days in a row. First to switch my piece to plastic, and second to switch my plastic back to titanium. Both times he was 30+ minutes late to the appointment (45 mins for the first day, of which I used to aimlessly walk around Target right next door). Even the girl in the front that was there both days told me, "I can't believe you've had to wait for him twice." Me either. 2) It might just have been low inventory day for them, but their jewelry selection was extremely limited. First, they couldn't find the right length post for one of my helix piercings, so it took a few tries to get sizing done. And then it also took another few tries to figure out which tops they actually had in stock after I picked one from their display. Third, they also couldn't figure out which size CZ stud I initially bought from them, because I was trying to match my other helix. I lost the post from one of them, and they don't sell replacements so I had to buy the whole set from them. Keep in mind that I had a double helix piercing with the same stud, so the original one that I had bought was still in my ear. The jewelry the girl had sold me on for my helix ended up being bigger than my original piece. She didn't ask me to take it out to compare, nor did she hold up her display piece to compare sizes. So that was a bummer. And there are no returns or exchanges, so that's even more of a shame. In terms of piercings, sanitary practices, and people, I will be back. Hands down, Lulu's has given me the best piercing experience that I've encountered. Although there have definitely been some flaws during the process, you cannot beat their efficiency. Gabe is a great piercer, but I wouldn't depend on him if I had somewhere to be after my appointment. Johnny is pretty fantastic too, but he's hardly ever in the store anymore unless specifically requested (and I would feel bad if he came in just for me). I'll continue to update my review if my experiences change. read more

Came here to get my nose stud changed to a ring and they were extremely friendly and helpful. I wasn't sure what size ring would be best or even what kind of ring I should get but they brought out their entire selection and helped fit different sizes to my nose. Do I recommend this place for kids? Yes, I do! This review is late, but someone was recently asking me for a recommendation, and it reminded me of our visit here. My daughter was 9 when we pierced her ears. I didn't want to go to Claire's, as I just don't trust their qualifications, and, cleanliness, also - those piercing guns are horrible. No offense, Claire's, just wanted someone more experienced using better equipment. I found Lulu's on Yelp and decided to go with them after reading their reviews from other parents. When we got there though, I briefly had second thoughts because it's not a kid-friendly looking place. I am not someone who has tattoos or piercings (aside from ears) so I wondered if this was the right place to take kids. We were there though, and there was no saying No to my daughter, so in we went! We picked out our earrings, then went back into our room. After meeting the technician, I felt much better. She was very knowledgable and skilled, and I was quickly realizing we had made the right choice. It all happened so fast. She used a needle (old school style) that was new in a package, and my daughter said she barely felt it at all! Nice, compared to the sharp pinching and burning of the tissue-destroying method of a piercing gun. Less trauma also means easier healing. Ours healed up very nicely and quickly. read more

I've recently discovered lulus YouTube videos in the past week and decided to come here for some piercing while on spring break. Came here to do a quick jewelry change for a helix piercing and I ended up choosing the white opal. I also came in to see if I could get a third piercing for my lobes because when I went to Claire's they had said that my ears were too small and they would be $100. When I went into lulus there were no issues they spent more time making sure that they wouldn't pierce any cartilage since it was very close to where I wanted to get pierced. Gabriel handled my piercing and jewelry change. All in all the for the piercing and new helix jewelry it was only about $55. They're located in a small corner right beside Target! COVID-19 procedures were in place and they were on time with my appointment as well (Make sure to get that appointment in!). I called for a same day appointment (which they said was fine) and was quoted a price for a double helix piercing, but when I arrived two hours later, they insisted that they changed their policy that very day and wouldn't do the piercing with the cheaper earrings even though they confirmed they had them on the phone prior.
