The IG videos make the food look delish but sadly the quality is not there. Bar service was super friendly and attentive. ordered the burger, calamari and vietnamese wings. Drink was a gin n tonic cocktail mix off the menu (can't recall the name) burger was basic, just meat, cheese and veggies, the meat was on the dry side - maybe 2 / 5 stars . came with fries, the fries were ok. calamari was great, light and crunchy, not a lot of salt - 3/5 stars Vietnamese wings - these were so disappointing, they came out hot and sweaty, there was a pungent gamey smell in each bite, the bone smelled foul also, either the brine wasn't great or they didn't clean the meat. the batter wasn't crunchy, just really soggy. not a winner like the sticky crunch wings at pok pok or like any other vietnamese restaurant that serves fried drumsticks and wings. not sure what was happening with the wings here but they were horrible - 1 / 5 stars, only ate 1 of 2 because of the funky smell from inside the chicken. had nothing to do with fish sauce either. overall, beautiful on instagram, is worth a visit for drinks but the food is lacking. in a foodie City like Portland that's just sad. We came here for New Year celebration and paid the premium for the table. The service is superb. Food and drinks are good. Food is Asian. But for the price we paid for the table, it came with nothing for count down, no champagne, no New Year party favors. There wasn't even any New Year decorations. Hard to find parking in this area. Revisited after manay years and this time they hit it out of the park (with the exception of soggy fries)! We went on a week night instead and it's much more pleasant. Pretty empty, bartenders were very friendly and made AWESOME drinks. Their Happy Hour deal is honestly some of the best in town with $10 craft house cocktails and lots of delicious food. We went to town with their food menu and really loved the Steak Empanandas. Super crispy, super juicy on the inside. Chicken Katsu Bowl was nice too. Again with crispy chicken and delicious sides. Salt & Pepper Squid was decent. Crunchy and flavorful. I know it's mostly fried food but they did hit. The only miss was their Peruvian Fries for me...Lukewarm, soggy. The sauces did make it up but not ideal. For $8 tho, very generous portion. They do Jazz Night on Wednesdays around 7pm as well. We'll definitely be back for their HH again! read more

It's a cute bar, but it's not for anyone over 35. I went on Thursday night and I have gone before because I know the DJ and I wanted to listen to the music we all enjoy... the three times I have attended, I've been called out for my age. It's mortifying, especially when I have more energy than most people in there, but it's mortifying to be judged and I just want people to avoid that experience. Last night was the final straw... I thought I'd check it out after the Fire game and I told the bouncer I really just wanted to use the restroom and check it out... I'm made some flirtatious banter the bathroom attendant and the man he was chatting with cut me deep with an insult. I don't know why we have time for this in current climate, with everything going on, but I thought anyone with good energy was welcome anywhere. I guess not. Stopped in on Saturday night for a nightcap not realizing there was a crazy busy nightclub next door. Music in the bar was too loud for such a narrow space IMO (my partner, a career club DJ, surprisingly agreed) and service was awkward. The server came by to put waters on the table with some napkins, handed us menus and told us to order at the bar, which was completely packed with people so it took 20 minutes just to order drinks. This was after waiting 15 mins for the server with the waters... after waiting so long I was looking forward to my cocktail. Unfortunately it was syrupy sweet and not balanced at all. My partner enjoyed his cocktail because he prefers it to be more sweet than taste like liquor Did my best to finish my drink so we could move on to find another spot to redeem our nightcap experience. We stopped by this time on Jazz night and while Jazz isn't my thing it still vibed amazingly. The drinks and the food are what separates Lulu from any other place- the drinks are on point- the custom cocktails better than any I've had in Las Vegas which is absolutely mind blowing. Josh and Clay are masters of their craft. The food is 11/10... damn. We hit happy hour and got the Peruvian fries and they were delicious. The Saltado is where is was at though.. man this was rich, hearty and salty. One of top 10 dishes in my life. I can't wait to come back and try more of their menu. I'd skip the ceviche next time, but the fries and salt and pepper squid were perfect snacks to pair with drinks, highly recommend them. The tables would have been better for a party of four, but they were all full and we didn't want to wait. Cocktails ranged from $13-16. The Lulu espresso martini was so gooood. I recommend this one! The FISH SAUCE WINGS were so tasty, but tbh really messy because of the bones. I don't recommend doing this if it's your first date. Always love coming back to lulus, whether it's for live music or their slight change in the menu. I always enjoy what they have to offer. Thursday evening, It wasn't packed and was pretty chill. Sat at the bar and ordered a cocktail (swipe right). Had a conversation with the bartender, she was really nice. As my two friends joined me, we then ordered our food. I got the ribeye steak curry, while the other two got chicken katsu bowl. Ribeye Steak Curry: came with rice, curry was panang curry. So it was quite sweet and coconuty. Swipe Right: on the citrusy side but sweet. So if you like a sweet cocktail, I recommend. We left a bit early but if we had stayed, we would have enjoyed the live music that happens on Thursday's. The staff were so friendly and helpful! Really appreciated their patience and continued checking in on us when I visited here with a large group. They had unique and delicious drinks for a reasonable price during happy hour ($10 house cocktails) and decently priced food even though there weren't a lot of options. As well as the fish sauce wings, which I really enjoyed because they weren't TOO fish-sauced and the chicken was moist, but my partner suggested they needed more flavor. I was in town for my birthday and Lulu was recommended by a friend to come visit. This is a nice lounge with popular music and the drinks were great. I've been wanting to check out Lulu forever, and I finally made time to go to celebrate my birthday with a couple of friends. My partner and I showed up about 30 minutes before my reservation, and they were so welcoming. They have a nice couch-seating area for casual vibes if you don't want to sit at the tables or at the bar. Let's talk about the drinks. My goodness. Their beautiful wall shows off an eclectic collection of drinks, and they truly have everything. I began with the Rick and Shorty (passionfruit & vodka) and it was a great start to my night. Other drinks don't fall any short, and each has a different character that really speak volumes to their range. The food is provided by Jarana, and it was excellent. We got the Salt and Pepper Squid, Fish Sauce Wings, and Peruvian Fries. I wish the squid was a bit bigger because it was kind of hard to grab them with forks! I wasn't able to try the bigger dishes, but that just means I'll be back to try more. Vibes are immaculate. Music is great. Ambiance is chill and laidback. I heard Lulu turns into a nightclub after certain hours. I wasn't able to experience this firsthand, but it sounds like a good time if you like dinner to nightclub experience. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, they are always attentive at the bar and with waiting tables. The live DJ on thursdays and the weekends The whole ambience of the bar feels relaxed and fun. The atmosphere is lively yet laid-back, with great music that keeps the energy up without being overwhelming. I attended their 2025 New Year's Eve event for the first time, and it was such a ! Everything from the drinks to the crowd was spot on, also it was very classy and a unique experience, to dress up for a black tie event. I'd definitely recommend Lulu Bar to anyone looking for a good time with a great mix of music, people, and an overall fantastic environment.
