I love Lululemon so much and the quality of the clothing is always the best of the best. I've actually never shopped in store though, I've always ordered online so this was my first time going in to shop around. One of my close friends who's also a nurse and her mom went shopping with me this day too. We had recently discovered that as a registered nurse we get 25% off our totals. I went around and grabbed a few things and figured I'd get my boyfriend a new pair of shorts. When I checked out the girl up front said "just as an FYI I'm only giving you 25% off the female items because you're OBVIOUSLY not going to be wearing these shorts and it's only for you" in the rudest tone possible. I was so thrown off by how she talked to me. Let me be clear, I don't mind paying full price for his shorts and following the rules about the discount at all but you don't need to be rude about it. After I checked out I went outside so they could let another person in and waited for my friends. When they came out the same girl checked them out and she said to them "Well great I know this isn't just for you and I'm assuming you're not a nurse too and how am I supposed to take the time to go through the items to decide which ones for you and which are not. You know I can take this discount away from you if you're abusing it." We were so thrown off with the way we were talked to about the situation today. Again, I want to make it clear I do not mind following the policy and only getting my discount on my item, but don't be disrespectful when you talk to us. We meant no harm and when were spending hundreds of dollars on workout clothes we don't need to be belittled while we do so. Terrible customer service. Was looking for a tight cropped legging which sat higher on the waist. Tried on the one they gave me and despite asking again for one that sat higher on the waist was told there was no other tight cropped legging. Purchased and wore it out the store only to come home, search online and see that they do indeed sell a higher waist option. When I called to say I was misinformed and would like to exchange for the higher waist option, they apologized but told me, essentially, "too bad" and are literally making me pay for their salesperson's mistake! I should also add that I was told to call the GEC number. I called GEC, explained in detail what happened, was told they would contact the store and was assured by GEC that I would hear back "by the next day at the latest.". Five days later and I still haven't heard back from lulu lemon. At each opportunity, lulu lemon absolutely blows it in terms of service recovery. Clearly customer service is not part of their strategy- just making the quick sale. There are too many good brands out there that treat their customers well and work to hold on to their customers when something goes wrong. I'll be rewarding those companies with my loyalty and word of mouth. Lululemon- when you wrong a customer and misinform them, it's your job to make it right. Shame on you. You have lost a customer and many future purchases for failing to simply take back the pant so I can purchase the one I originally wanted but was told , incorrectly by your salesperson, doesn't exist. I will be sure to give Lululemon top prize whenever the topic of horrendous customer service comes up. read more

This review is for the LJ location only. I have to agree with the reviews about the customer service here. I came in to exchange a jacket I received as a gift for another style. I was expecting that it would be easy, like in other higher-end stores, but I had a difficult time getting a sales person to help me find another style. When I was able to track someone down, she explained to me that although my size wasn't in stock for what I wanted I could get a credit and order it online. No such luck. Even though I had the emailed receipt another sales girl and the manager seemed confused and couldn't help because i didn't nave the paper receipt. Normally I wouldn't be so bothered, but everyone there had an attitude of "why are you here and why are you bothering me." It's a bummer because I do love lulu clothes, but when you're spending an arm and a leg you at least want a pleasant experience! Note: I had a WAY better experience at the UTC location - I'd suggest going there first! read more

I was recently in a near-death car accident, and unfortunately that meant that they had cut all my clothes off of me in the ambulance, including my precious lulus! I brought my torn up lulus into the store (still in my neck brace from my head injury), expecting them to tell me there wasn't much they could do, or that they could refer me to someone to attempt to resew them, but instead, they completely replaced my lulus without charge. Each and everyone of the staff were so kind, knowledgeable, and compassionate. They were all so helpful, and I cannot recommend this store and their high quality customer service enough. Hot workout getups, hot guys selling workout getups. How could this possibly not be a 5 star review?

I do NOT understand why people are giving such mean, HATER, incorrect reviews. First of all - ones complaining about pricing... You know that going in there what their pricing range is, if you don't like it, buy elsewhere (like Target or something). Especially for the quality, you ARE getting your money's worth so, just stop complaining. Second - the return policy. Whatever place you buy merchandise from, there is some kind of policy they must abide by. Whether the cashier spells it out for you, has it printed on their forehead and/or has it posted in banners all over the registers and counters, get over it!!!!! Do people just really love to complain about every little thing?! Third - customer service/help from associates at this particular location. Really?? I went this morning and was immediately greeted, immediately helped by multiple employees, was given recommendations by (I believe her name was Suzette) in the fitting room section, and for your info - the girl at the register fully explained the return policy to me. BOOM! To top it off, they were especially busy and more than one person was extremely helpful. OVERALL - the brand, the quality of clothes, the pricing, the return policy, the cleanliness of the store, the staff - ALL WORTH YOUR WHILE. My 20-something daughter and I visited the La Jolla store for the first time about a month ago, with high expectations. However, our visit turned out to be one of the worst retail shopping experiences I've ever had. We were never greeted by sales staff (and in fact, we were ignored), the products were disappointing, and the vibe was very superficial and somewhat chaotic. The worst part was that the sales staff seemed very self-absorbed, and not interested in helping us find what we came to buy. I wanted to leave as soon as possible, so I quickly decided to get long running pants since I couldn't find the style of fitted pilates/yoga pants I wanted. The cashier looked my daughter up and down (and we were dressed very well for lunch on the town), never greeted us, acted like it was a bother to ring us up, and never said thank you. It was almost humiliating. I like my new pants well enough, but don't think the quality justifies the high price. And as far as going back to that store? Never ever. In fact, it's basically turned me off of Lulu Lemmon products. Get your act together, people. read more

I am a Lululemon addict. There I've said it. Really though, Lululemon is a GREAT company. I'm a regular at their Saturday morning free yoga classes, and I'm working on developing the motivation to make it to the Tue. night pilates classes. They even have Sunday morning run group and bike rides. The employees are Lulu are so nice and helpful. Yes, the clothing is expensive, but it's worth it. Once you've worn a pair of Reverse Groove pants it's difficult to wear any other brand's yoga pants. Give Lululemon a shot. You won't regret it. :) read more

My experience in lulu lemon was nothing special but I wrote pertaining to the quality of the product! Being forewarned about difficulty washing their product i seemed instructions from the tags and their website, wash in cold water alone. After doing so I found that where the legs had rubbed up against each other the material was pilling. In frustration I took the pants back to the store, the customer service rep was catty and not interested in listening to me. $80 for a pair of workout pants that are single use, I don't think so. I paid that money for the materials that make it so great and I'm very disappointed. read more

I have been wearing the same lululemon running jacket for 5 years now and plan to wear it for 5 more. Top quality stuff. This store also hosts great health classes, etc... good stuff read more

Full blown Lulu addict!!! I work in the fitness industry so athletic attire is my work uniform. As we all know you can only wear workout clothes once before having to wash them. I'm also pretty picky about what I feel looks good and fits good. I'm not a skinny minny, I have curves so sometimes finding a skin tight top, bottom and bra that feels good and looks good in all the right places is a challenge.........well no longer is it a challenge for me. It's a bit of a challenge on my budget LOL but I'm a true believer that when you pay for quality you get just that a good quality product. I have many, many pieces from Lulu and have only had a problem with 1 bra which was exchanged with no problem for the same item which I have had no problems with at all. I wash and wear, wash and wear on a weekly rotating basis and all the colors are still true as well as the fit. I love the staff, they are always friendly and the store is a nice shopping environment. I just don't have any complaints. I suggest Lulu to everyone I know. LOVE IT!! read more

I purchased pants tops and more pants over the years. I tried to return or even exchange a skirt and they would not take it back. That's why I will continue to shop at Nordsrom or Athletica or other active wear. They are nice while you are spending money in the store but very very poor customer service. i like this place. they have really cool clothes....BUT. if you got junk in the trunk or big legs its going to be tough. that said, the clothing is very good quality and you pay a little extra but you get what you pay for. long lasting durable clothing for working out or yoga etc.. my wife bought me a xlarge shirt from there and it was a good fit just a little tight around my....well my stomach! no i dont have a six pack but dam i fit into xlarge shirts all day. so i tried xxl and it was to big around the neck . oh well i bought some killer shorts and they fit me perfectly!! all the employees are really cool. if were in the area we always stop in. read more

A year ago if you told me I would own anything from a company called LuluLemon, I would have bet my paycheck you were wrong. I was introduced to the company a few years ago when my brother came back from Canada wearing it. I admit I had to give him flack. But after seeing what they had and wearing a pair of the pants, I bought my first pair. I still feel the name is for a women's line, but the quality and look of their product is top notch. I dont know if I'll ever own too much of it, as the price is high. But I may invest in a pair of running shorts or two. read more

Amazing Customer Service. I was greeted when I walked in and was asked if I needed any help as I was looking around. They have a few sales racks throughout the store! so be sure to check those out before looking around at other items! Some more than HALF OFF! (non-refundable) be sure to try it on first. In the fitting room she asked me my name and if I needed anything to please ask :) She helps me pick a few different "fits" on shorts and sport bras. So I'm not much of a shopper, especially around the holidays when there is complete madness at most stores but I have to make sure and give major kudos to Timothy at Lululemon! Timothy was awesome! He went above and beyond for me as a customer and kept me laughing and completely stress free while I did my best to shop for my husband. I really really appreciated that there was no pressure to buy things but suggestions and a lot of informative facts about Lulu's products. First time shopping in Lululemon. I went with a friend who has a bit of an addiction. Let me preface this review by saying I'm a curvier woman. Who enjoys yoga and jogging. But I've always assumed only the supremely fit shop at Lululemon. So I walked in with my friend on a Saturday morning. I don't recall being greeted. But the sales associates were all smiling and very personable. My friend was immediately helped. She was given a fitting room and the girls were making small talk. I was never asked if I needed assistance. It's not a criticism. They were nice. Just an observation. And for a while I wandered around feeling a bit out of place and self-conscious. Finally I saw a pair of pants and asked if I could have a room. The associate was very sweet and asked my name so that if I needed help she knew who she was assisting. I tried them on and they fit quite nicely! But not quite the style I was looking for. My friend then encouraged me to try on a pair of pants she loved! So I asked for my size and the associate asked if I'd like some other suggestions and what my "workout" was. She brought 2 more pairs. But I was in love with the pair my friend recommended. I knew immediately I needed these pants. They were magical! They were the most flattering, comfortable pants I have ever worn! $78 And worth every penny. I told the young lady helping me I was extremely happy and she walked me over to the cash wrap. I made small talk with the cashier and left over the moon with my new pants! All in all a good experience. Great product! I think I'm going to buy a few more pairs! read more

Love it! Not as big as the Santa Monica location, but awesome none the less. Yes, it's expensive, but worth it. Just don't go in here "just to look" :) You will find the cutest, most practical and long lasting workout clothes made. Two of my favorite tops are the No Limits tank and the Run: Inspire crops. Also a hint- if you don't like the return policy, sell it on eBay. I got a shirt in a size too big but took the tags off first without thinking, and ended up selling it on eBay for twice what I paid for it, which bought a whole new shirt for me! I shop at Lululemon often and have had the worst experiences with the staff at this store in La Jolla. I have found them extremely unhelpful with exchanges and they have been very rude when working the floor. When I come home, I drive to the store at the UTC Westfield instead of going to this one 2 mins from my house simply to avoid interacting with the rude and entitled staff. read more
