I'm a sucker for overpriced spandex. Lululemon rocks! Yes, it's so cliche. Yes, it's pretty much what every "Marina Girl" wears on Saturday morning. But the fabrics are great quality, the cuts flatter, the employees are nice and knowledgeable, and they have great FREE yoga classes every Wednesday at 730. These are good classes with popular neighborhood yoga instructors. They even provide mats. read more

LOVE. This is my favorite part about living in Cow Hollow. Not only are the products incredible, the entire staff treats me like I'm an old friend (maybe because I go there so often that they know my name and when I get my hair cut?). I was told that this location is the biggest store (in terms of inventory) in Northern California, so if this place doesn't have it, it's rare that the Union Square / Palo Alto / Walnut Creek / Marin stores will have it. Be careful - the friendly staff may talk you into buying a few too many items you don't need. :) So difficult to resist, considering they come out with new stuff every week. read more

This location is truly awful. The staff would rather talk to each other than assist customers and the manager is no better. I've been in twice in 6 weeks where I've left after waiting in the waiting room for a size to be brought from the back that never came. And when I've provided feedback, instead of an apology or an acknowledgement that there's an issue, I was simply asked what they should do about it. I love Lululemon! It was my first time in this store and I thought it was an interesting set up. On the right side (when you enter) is where the men's section was and that's where I was most of the time aside from the fitting room. There was this employee that helped me out and find the best items for my needs. I wanted a specific item, but they didn't have it in store so he redirected me to another store and gave me their number. I called and got the shorts that I wanted. My experience in this retail chain has always been positive because of the knowledgeable employees and their friendliness. read more

I bought a shirt here last month and I am in love. The shirt in question is blue and moisture-wicking and machine washable and fits just right. The only problem with love? It is expensive. In this case, my dreamshirt set me back more than $40. So while my torso is satisfied, my wallet is in tears. How do I love thee Lululemon? Let me count the ways!! I bet everyone who has tried a piece of Lululemon wear is hooked, and so am I. I've tried my best to give other brands a shot, but I always end up disappointed in the fit, and eventually I end up back at Lululemon. Yes, they are super pricey. But, when you enjoy working out as much as I do, it's worth it. Just fore go an expensive meal, you'll be thinner and happier you had the cash to buy another pair of sexy running crops or a sleek top. Trust me. You'll look good and feel good. For me, I have found that the quality is great and the gear lasts pretty long, even with a lot of wear. This review is for the Union Street and Burlingame stores, since I've been to both recently. The staff at these locations is always smiling and they are sweet too. i appreciate their help and the suggestions. They really do want you to be happy and I'm so glad they're not snobby. read more

I will give 4 starts b/c I love the pants, but I have been less than impressed with a couple of staff members in the SF Union Street store. On one occasion, I was given the wrong hemmed pants, which I didn't realize until I returned home, and on another I was coaxed into not hemming my pants where I wanted them. I now walk on said pants even in my running shoes b/c they are too long, but if I have them hemmed again, they will be too short. Ugh. Product is good and most of the staff are very helpful, but a couple of the bad experiences have cost me time and caused me frustration. Oh, and I do NOT like the sports bras. The straps come flying off when I exercise. Yeah, that's a fun experience...bra failure during exercise class. Both straps blew out on me in yoga. I had great experiences in this location for years, but lately I would recommend shoppers be vigilent with the staff. I've loved everything I bought here with the exception of the flying-strap bra. I now shop at the Burlingame store. The staff there is more consistently reliable. read more

Let me start by saying that I love Lululemon clothing. I have several shirts and pants and think they're great for working out in and wearing around town. The quality is top notch too! However, having shopped at the Union Street location multiple times now I feel compelled to write this review to call attention to the off putting "hard sell" from the salespeople that I get every time I visit. I think it must be a Lululemon policy that every customer gets greeted by a salesperson (which is normally great) but this store in particular takes it to the next level. I visited the store today because I wanted to buy a new pair of pants. In the course of my visit three different salespeople came up to me and asked "Have you seen our new XX product?" and then I have to listen politely as they tell me about the features of the jacket/shirt/sweatshirt that I have absolutely no interest in buying. This happens every time I go to this store. If I have questions about a product I will ask! It would be great if they could simply say, "Hi there, let me know if you have questions about any of our products. I'm here to help," rather than trying to push a specific item that they want to sell. I so irritated that I went home and ordered the pants online instead. I noticed other reviews remarking on the aggressive salespeople at this location. I hope that management takes notice and adjusts their customer service tactics. In theory I see how it could be great, but when multiple salespeople approach you in this way during the same visit it can be overwhelming. read more

Let me set the mood for you readers: Picture a young man, newly infatuated with the world of Yoga. Being a committed individual, I figured now that I have my first yoga class out of the way I should buy some yoga gear. Buying gear will motivate me to go to class, and to maintain a diet so I can look great in some amazing gear. Naturally, I was told that Lulu was the place to go if I was looking for high quality yoga apparel. So heres a quick breakdown of my visit. CUTSOMER SERVICE: As soon as I entered the store I was greeted by a young lady who asked me, FIRST AND FOREMOST, "how I was doing today?" she was not trying to push anything on me or force me into any awkward sales situations, she was just being a human and I appreciated her for that. I let her know that I was in the market for some new yoga gear. She introduced herself as Rachel and immediately started to educate me on the hottest items. On top of a great Knowledge of the items in the store, Rachel was also very knowledgable about the philosophy of the company. I was ever so convinced and I ended up buying a matt.... (its actually spelled mat, I was corrected by Rachel at the register) and some shorts. Overall I would say the customer service was the best I have ever experienced as a consumer. 10 out of 10 AMBIANCE Freaking great ambiance, very clean store, and very attractive workers. 10 out of 10 PARKING lots of parking if you take the bus!! 10 out of 10 CLOSING STATEMENT I had a great experience at lulu. I can honestly say that I walked away from the store with a better understanding of the core values of yoga, and most importantly with some really great yoga shorts. I'm going to be upfront and honestly say that I don't own anything from Lululemon. Being a long time athlete, I have been exposed to both good and bad athletic apparel, at price points all over the spectrum. The apparel at Lululemon is pricey, but the quality is outstanding and I have many friends, male and female, who swear by it. My experiences here are always great. I've had the pleasure of trying on clothes without hassle or sales pitch and Mark (I believe he's a GM or some sort of higher up) has always been there to answer any questions or help make suggestions. The girls who work there are also just as friendly and knowledgeable. There isn't just one "body type" of girls who work there either, so you get to see how the clothes will fall and fit. They also offer free yoga classes, all levels, every Wednesday and cross training workouts on Sundays. You get to meet great people, work that butt into shape, listen to great music, and chill after wards. With the economy being as it is, I think it's awesome that they offer the free classes. So, if you want to try yoga for the first time or just drop your gym membership, this place is the place to be! Now to work on my Sun Salutation :D read more

Looking for the Gucci of workout clothing? Lululemon is just that. VERY comfortable workout clothing that does it's job great but I just can't justify spending $90+ for clothing that I'm going to sweat a ton in and have to wash after one wear. For those of you that don't mind spending that much money by all means, it's great clothing. Very cute and very flattering. when i walked in lululemon i thought to myself what are these people smoking?? $100 for a pair of sweat pants? nono yoga pants?? i can get them at target for $20! last weekend i got to spend a little more time here. my mom had a friend in town from hong kong and he is an avid yogi and loves lululemon. this was the only thing he wanted to get in sf. we took him here and he was in heaven! we spent about an hour here and while waiting for him to try things on i got to take a closer look at their stuff and it is really high quality. not the cheapa$$ american apparel stuff that is overpriced and breaks after washing. but all the loose threads are cut off. all the seams are covered. i mean details details! their stuff is well made. i would get more stuff on sale if they had more sizes but the sale stuff seems to only be in size 10 or 12. they were really attentive. i was looking for a sale jacket and she was really nice about calling other stores even though they were pretty busy. and the staff there look great in their clothes. a great way to sell their own stuff! they even have water in case you get thirsty when you shop? ahha i dont know what the water is for but i drank some because i got thirsty read more

I love their products... the lower review rating is for their customer service. I walked in on a Saturday morning, store was bustling w/ customers. I walked from the front to the back of the store, wanting to drop some dough. I found a couple of items to try on, and I made my way to the back picking up an extra jacket. I passed by 3 employees, not ONE of them glanced at me. I took in the surroundings and noticed that they did seem to greet/assist the customers that were.. of different ethnicity. Maybe it was because I was dressed in my gym clothes, loose t-shirt, sports bra, running carpi's and Nike's. Maybe I didn't look YOGA enough? Maybe my skin wasn't LIGHT enough? I waited patiently at the fitting rooms, while a store employee was giving her input on how great a fit was on another customer. I continued to wait, what FELT like 10 minutes, but probably was more like 4. Frustrated I walked towards the cash register to ask for help there, and NOT ONE freakin employee greeted me. I put the clothes back and picked up a headband instead.. waited at the register, and when the cashier is ready for me, she says "Is this all you're picking up?" I almost lost it.. seriously. 5 stars for the products.. 2 stars for the customer service at THIS location only.. more like 1 star, but I do love lululemon's products. read more

Worth every single penny! My roommate had been raving about her workout gear for quite a bit. She was picking up a new pair of pants after having them hemmed and altered (which is FREE!) I soon found myself located in Lulumelon intrigued by all the "cute" work out gear. I then found myself trying a pair on. And purchasing a whole ensemble. I LOVE it! I'm not an avid Lululemon shopper since I can't quite justify paying $80 for pants I'm going to sweat in, but I have to give this place 5 stars for the FREE YOGA classes on Wednesday nights! The store closes down to the public at 7pm-ish and all the racks of clothing are pushed out of the way to make room for as many people as possible to participate in a 1hour yoga workout. Guest teachers are brought in from around the community and usually teach a month's worth of free classes. It's legit, the teachers are great, and all levels are welcome! It's a great way to workout, learn about different yoga studios in the city, and I have to admit - get inspired by the tiny (and expensive) workout clothes hanging on the walls around you to keep gettin' your butt in shape! read more

For as ubiquitous as lululemon clothing is in SF, you would think the staff would be nicer. The clothing is beautifully made and worth the price, but the sales associates are so bitchy and snotty, I will never shop here again! So much attitude to go around in this place. One of the sales people told me that a size I asked for would be "too tight" on me. And it was the way she said it that really rubbed me the wrong way. I'd have to agree with reviewer Jen I. I've forayed into Lululemon twice now (both the marina and burlingame locations), just to see what the hype was all about, and if their clothing would lead me to health, wealth, prosperity, inner peace, men beating down my door, etc. I'm tall, fit, swim laps 4-5 times a week and do lots of yoga, and, like Jen, am definitely not the size of a water buffalo, but my butt is still too big for Lululemon's pants. I just look like total, laughable crap in them. Some bottoms I tried on there the other day practically redefined the meaning of "low rise." way, way, way too low. like don't even think about bending over (which, of course, no one would EVER do in yoga!) in these bottoms. Obviously, the marina (ok, cow hollow to be exact) is the perfect SF location for this store. ps: I just saw another review of this store that claimed that the store contained salespeople of "every shape and body type." I finally managed my first visit to Lululemon on Union St. today, and what a positive experience! First off, they are very friendly. Second, their stuff is soo cute, and stylish. And third but definitely not least, this gear is FLATTERING!!! All of it!! And last but also not least, they fit the stuff for you right there before you pay if you want the pants shortened, or whatever, and your stuff will be ready for pick up just 4 days later! The tailoring part is free! Wearing these pants will be an extra motivation to work out more, plus, they're stylish enough to just wear out and about! I'm so excited about this new find! read more

I went into this store last week looking for a pair of yoga pants.... I discovered that if you are over a SIZE 10, you won't find your size in the store. Lululemon's website has up to SIZE 12 only. SIZE DISCRIMINATION! Hard to believe in this day and age. Won't be going back. read more

With so many rav reviews (and the fact that a number of the yoga teachers that I work with are featured here), I decided it was finally time to drop by Lululemon. Most of you will probably be surprised by my meager three stars, but I have my reasons. The selection is great and the space is very comfortable; there is no denying those facts. Maybe just because it was three days before Christmas, but the sales folks were pretty pushy. Justing coming in to look. I have two different sales folks explain to me how their items were organized, how everything fits ... etc. Also, for being a company that is all about peace and positive action, the fact that their clothes aren't made from sustainable fibers doesn't make any sense to me. read more

Love Lulu but they need a better return policy. If I'm going to pay a premium for workout clothes, I expect this like at Nordstrom and Bed, Bath, and Beyond's policy. I love this store. My mother and I walked in there on a sunday night, right as they were closing, and were approached by the wonderful Lauren. She was so friendly, full of energy and incredible customer service. She spent time wtih us, picking out sizes and pants, and just made us feel really welcome. She had no idea how bad of a day I was having, and her genuine personality and energy really brightened my day! A fine ass requires more than just squats, lunges, cardio, and healthy eating. It needs one more thing -- pants that show the world how hard you've worked and how much you've sacrificed. So if you've been paying thousands of dollars for your healthy food and gym membership, then it's time to invest a little bit more in Lululemon yoga pants, which will make your ass look plump, perky, and curvy in all the right places! And why stop at the pants? If you want to highlight that hourglass shape, get one of their deep-V sports tanks! Why should cleavage be limited to a night of bar hopping? Beautiful cleavage is something that should be shared with the world as much as possible (well, except for at work, if you actually care about your career). I don't recommend their headbands though.
