Got them in 48 hours and they were perfect. +Headband- i wish they had a matching headband but they were out of stock. They do cover your ears for those brisk jogs through SF weather. +Forme Jacket- my FAVORITE piece of lulu in my closet. the contour shape of the jacket makes your look sexy no matter how you're feeling. i love running in this thing. read more

Lululemon - it's not just for women anymore. After enduring feeling like a janitor's 12oz. cotton yarn mop I needed a nice, breathable top for working out. Now being me, I needed something different than the usual fare of Nike, adidas, Under Armour(bleh), Champion and the such. Since I wanted to check out the denim bar up the street, I made a bee-line for this place after 1 transbay bus ride from the East Bay and a trip on the 45 which was a lesson in common sense. As for the store itself, it looks like a doll house on the outside. There's booty left and right, Mr. Wilson knows what he's doing. I'm greeted immediately and I tell the gal I need a shirt for both working out and lounging around. She points me to a nano-silver stretch tech top. I grab one in a small, and I put it on. Wow, I fell in LOVE and I looked at myself - I looked like I've lost some more weight and shaped. Yes, that was a $63 dent to my bank account, but after giving a test at the gym I can honestly say it's worth it and I'll come back for another. The vibe of the store is comfortable - I didn't feel like I was at the mall - which is unfortunately where most sporting goods/apparel shops are. The girls who work there will give you advice. This is as good as sportswear can get. The lulu fabric is truly worth the hefty pricetag. It is comfortable, stylish, hugs your body in all the right places, moisture wicking, and the color does not fade! I own about twelve pairs of pants/capris/shorts. I still have my first pair from 7 years ago and still wear them. They last forever! My favorite fit is Wonder Under (resembles leggings) and The Groove (flared bottom). Their zip up track jacket in the lulu fabric is also terrific. It feels snug, but doesn not ride up as you go about your workout. Service at this location is also fantastic. The staff is very helpful without being pushy. As in all their other locations, hemming is free at any time. read more

I am a self-professed Lululemon whore. First of all, my first purchase was a top, a jacket & a pair of shorts. I loved my jacket so much, I went back returned the shorts & bought my mom a jacket. Btw, I'm influencing her to be a lululemon whore just like her daughter. Of course, I returned the shorts past the 30 day point & the manager was about to give me a hard time. So, I told her, "Look, I just got introduced to your brand & I am absolutely in LOVE~~~ with Lululemon. Your stuff is sooo cute & comfy (it truly is). Anyways, I know it's past the return date, but I'm buying something else that costs more. I'm a huge fan & a total yelper (thanks yelp!), I don't think you want to end my relationship with Lululemon today, but it's your call." And the manager, gave in & made the exchange. The end! Anyways, don't you love happy endings?Of course, she made the right decision. I am a very loyal fan filled with Lululemon pride. TOPS: I don't have to worry about their tops rising when I lift my arms, the length is perrrrfect. It's soft, adorable, easy to wash & comfy. PANTS: Their pants are literally miracle workers. Update: I was in again over the weekend and ended up with 2 new pairs of pants and 2 jackets. Once again, I can't figure out what it is about this brand, but the clothes are just so flattering. I think I've started living in this stuff when at all possible. So comfortable. Granted, everybody in my Pilates class (aka the Desperate Housewives) all wear it and worship it as well, but oh well. It looks great and that is what counts. The only thing that turns me off about lululemon would be some of their "philosophies" that are printed on their bag, specifically the "Children are the orgasm of life" phrase. Please just kill me now. Small rant, but I had to get it off my chest. Five stars x a BA-JILLION! I am a DEVOTED fan even before the trend exploded and I remain committed. I was actually in the store today and came out with more items then I should have but I couldn't help myself! Everything is so damn cute and fits like an effing glove! My BFF calls their pants the "fat silencer" - even if your mildly out of shape, they manage to make your ass look SUPERB. And for those of us who are less endowed in the northern region, their tops come with a litter extra cush and makes you feel better about yourself. And yes, all their stuff is pricey but oh-so-worth it! And I find that feeling cute when I go to the gym inspires me to work harder and I'll take the motivation wherever I can get it! read more

It's my thing, don't mess with it! I was converted back in 2004-2005ish from a brand beginning with the letter N to this one with the letter L. Coming to the store is like seeing good friends. I cannot think of a clothing store with people whom work have more positive attitudes and so helpful. I go no days without a piece of Lululemon on, it's a lifestyle clothing that really relates to my doings. The clothes are never fail. The Union Street location can get busy, to have much more intimacy, weekday late afternoons are nice. read more

Nice products of super high quality and super high prices! Is it really worth the money for clothes you sweat in? Even thought I am not going to shell out all my cash for one pair of pants, I still like the store and the concept and they have great designs. Their clothes just encourage me to not workout, because I don't want to pit out my new $80 shirt. Super friendly staff. I always feel kind of bad for not buying anything when I go in to check out the beautiful clothing and to feel the superb quality of material and stitching. I'm a Lululemon addict. I admit it... It's damn hard to come inside and not buying anything. I always seem to think I need more than 3 pairs of 80 something bucks yoga pants. I docked 2 stars because it's pricey and the sales girls very obviously work on commission. I've been circled like a dead animal in the desert by these vulture women every single time I go and I don't like it. If I tell you that I'm just looking, let me just freakin' look! Don't follow me from one area to another explaining that these shorts are the tightest and these are the loosest. After a long COLD January run, I decided that it was time I expand my running pants wardrobe so that I don't have to do laundry every 4 days (or run in shorts). I stopped by Lululemon on Union and figured I'd buy myself an extra day from doing laundry. I found a pair of pants that fit perfectly, but they were too long. I asked the girl working there if they made them any shorter & she explained that they hem them for free! Sweet! She marked the spot I wanted them altered to, and said that they would be ready Thursday. Unfortunately that means I will freeze running in shorts the next few days (or do laundry), but I'm sure it will be well worth the wait! I stopped by this location today and thought a review here was appropriate. On the surface the employees here are there to help you with smiles and zealous helpfulness. But at a certain point I thought to myself these folks really need to get off of my nuts. Their nice, up close helpfulness was exhausting - even continuing while I was in the dressing room - and it became abundantly clear that these guys were pushing hard for that commission. It felt a bit like one of those high pressure gym membership situations and I was feeling the pressure to buy. I got out of there because it was too crowded anyway and I went to the one at the Union Square location. i had gone into the store to buy a couple leggings maybe some shorts and a jacket but i happily left empty handed because of this one employee. i had tried on a couple items i liked and was browsing to look for something else before i checked out. i hung my items beside me to free my hands while browsing i walked about 10 feet away when i turned, the jacket i had picked out was gone! i saw a white male employee with my jacket trying to hide it from me. my friend started laughing because she thought he was joking! he unfortunately was not. the next 10 minutes i saw from the corner of my eye him repeatedly smirking at me. 2 young POC women being bullied by a white male in a store in san francisco! shocker!! will gladly take my business somewhere else. read more

I suppose I can feel the tension among customer and SA in this store. However, I purchased something so many they were less stingy? Despite that, some of the women there are truly helpful. The store is on the smaller side compared to the Burlingame location. The store downtown I feel is equally as compact, but carries more inventory. If you want a more spacious store with more inventory, I suggest visiting the Burlingame location (my preference). I picked up a pair of the High Times which I love, keeps everything snug for my barre classes. read more

I have been told to go here since it opened and finally went in to expand my attire so my yoga students don't think I only have one outfit. (There is something uncomfortable about the way Americans have corporatized yoga to death, but Lululemon seems to have the right spirit behind it I guess.) The prices are straight-up exorbitant, but for a reason: the designs are great, and the pants at least seem to work for the skinny and the curvy alike (pickings get slim for those with big "tops"). I've since been back for running shorts that are the best I've ever had, as well as cycling-length pants that are also reversible and completely comfortable (and, dare I say, SEXY!). :) The staff are extremely helpful and give 15% discounts for teachers, which means I'll be back for more and more! read more

I've always loved shopping at Lululemon and was so bummed to find out they didn't have one in New Zealand UNTIL a month after I moved back to SF. Anyhoo, I digress, the store on Union Street is awesome. The staff are always friendly and very helpful and I love that I live just a few blocks away. The clothes are amazing and so well-made that you usually can look past the large price tag. It's worth it. It just is. My very favorite thing that I love about this store however is their Free Yoga Flow classes that they host every Wednesday. Gives you a chance to try classes taught by various teachers around the city as well as save money...to spend on more lululemon gear of course. Haven't tried their Run Day Vous sessions on Saturdays but am hoping to get as much satisfaction out of those activities as I have from the yoga classes. read more

I spent as much on a pair of capri yoga pants at lululemon as I've ever spent on any pair of pants ever. But I love these pants. I'd wear them every day if I could remember to wash them often enough. They are cute, comfy, and always manage to keep me the perfect temperature, whether I'm running, stretching, or sitting around my apartment reading a book. Also, I had no idea that they had free hemming until I came here to write this review. I'm going to have to go back and buy a long pair now that I know they will make them fit my stubby, 5'1" legs. EDIT: After only a month of wearing them, my beloved pants have a hole in the butt! I swear I didn't snag them on anything and I was taking really good care of them. They just wore right through. This is a company that lives by it's mission...which is a very good thing. They follow-through the whole way: from hang tags, to signage, to community boards in the store. You know, the be healthy-alive vibe. You can't really hate that. $80+ dollar pants--that's a tough one. However, many pairs are reversilbe (which makes rationalizing much easier), they offer free hemming (which is fantastic for the short legged), and, everything feels super-good on. Ok, so have you ever put on something and felt tingles? I swear, the second I put on the Extend pants, I knew I was home...*shed tear* I am really short and not the skinniest person out there, but wow...these did wonders for my booty. I always thoguht it was a myth about how great lulu pants are, but I can justify that they are fantastic! Conclusion: fantastic on the booty, not so much for the wallet! Only 4/5 because I had tried on other ones (groove, still, etc) and they weren't doing me any justice because I was oging to lose the flare at the bottom after hemming and the stills were too loose for running. No-one suggested I try on the Extends. was very disappointed by that service. Ended up going to another store and they told me to try them. read more

First, let me say that I am strictly rating this as a yoga studio and ignoring the retail aspect of it. Looking at the prices, I think they're ridiculous Secondly, the only two yoga classes I have been to have had the same teacher, and I know that he will not be teaching there in May. That being said, it was an absolutely incredible yoga class (the instructor's name was Jehfree Spirit!! How cool is that?) He was incredibly helpful and patient with the variety of experience levels in the classes; it really helped to relax me, and he closed beautifully by playing "The Rainbow Connection" and reading Louisa Haye's "I love myself." In a word...amazing. The colors change just about every time I'm in there and the service is always top notch. Yes, the merchandise is a bit pricey, but I have had pants for years that have seen the bottom of many washing machines and never lost their shape. Think of it as an investment! I swore that I would never shop Lululemon. In LA, this place is like a cult and everyone HAD to be wearing their stuff. No thank you. HOWEVER, I decided after starting boot camp and pilates, I should try and invest in some decent workout clothes. I mean, no self-respecting Russian Hill resident walks around in anything less that some decently made and perfectly fit workout clothes, right? When I walked in the store, I was SHOCKED at the prices. But, I must say, once I tried on those Groove Pants, I was a goner. Done. Perfection. I FELT skinnier. I FELT like I hope to feel after 4 weeks of bootcamp. Can workout pants make you feel sexier? Apparently so...so much so that I also bought a jacket and a tank. I walked out $230 poorer, but felling 100% better about myself. (It's probably a win/win...now that I'm so poor, I won't eat out as much for the next couple weeks which will help me lose some weight!) Women...we're so easy. By the way, the service was phenomenal. I wish I got the girl's name that helped me (petite brunette). She was so helpful. And the best part of all for a midget like me? Free alterations. Woot! read more

Instant Butt lift! Since 2004, I'd see girls with Luluelemon pants and think, what's the big deal? I once accompanied my sister into the store and saw the price tags and thought , wtf, ridiculous for stretchy pants. In my Bar Method class (I'm a devotee, see my review!) I'd see girls all decked out in Lululemon. Stupid waste of $, I'd think. Then, one day last week I forgot my workout pants at home. So I called my friend, does she have clothes at her office. Turns out she does, they are her sacred Lululemon pants. So I put them on, not expecting much and...OMFG, they made me look super, they fit in all the right places, gave my butt some shape, held it in and damn I looked good. After class, my friend called me and said she wanted her pants back ASAP that night (as if she could read my thoughts of stealing them from her). So, I reluctantly gave them back. And this weekend, I just had to get my very own pair. Damn, your ass will look fine. The pants were about $83 with tax. Minus one star for the price. But, your butt will thank you. The customer service was just right--not pushy,didn't ignore me. I love my new boogie pants that I'm wearing right now, feeling oh so hot. read more

I have just returned $300 lighter from my first visit at lululemon! Yikes! I have to admit that I was kind of apprehensive about going to this store because of some reviews citing stuck up, unfriendly staff. I'm glad I went anyway because I found this to be the complete opposite (and I'm not a Marina crowd-type girl) ! I was greeted by everyone on staff then helped by a super approachable Nicole who got me a fitting room, different sizes and even helped me pick between two sizes in a Groove pant (LOVE!) by giving her own opinion. She let me know that they did free hemming for the pants and I forget who it was that measured me, but he was friendly as well. I got 2 pairs of pants, a pair of shorts and 2 headbands for a little under $300.00. The Astro Pant in a size 2 was on sale vs. a full priced size 4 and I lucked out in fitting a 2, so definitely check out different sizes. All sale items are final sale. fantastic store, no exaggeration. As a former dancer and Pilates diehard, I was curious to try out yoga. First, I needed some gear. After reading these reviews, I wanted to see what the buzz was about. Lulu's did not disappoint. Tons of durable, functional clothing that is ultra flattering. Tanks in a variety of cuts, great jackets and sweaters, and of course, the pants. All under one cozy roof. I especially had a blast strolling around the shop itself. Every staff member present was friendly, relaxed, helpful, and PATIENT-perfect for long dressing room sessions. Two other women besides me were waiting at the door for Lulu's to open this morning, testimony to the popularity (and I assume loyalty) associated with this place. Aside from yoga clothes, I purchased a multifunctional backpack and hoodie that will go with me to the dance studio and to the beach. Great products, great shopping experience. They even threw in my headband for free since I bought so many items. I know I can be impulsive with the shopping, but this was one trip that was entirely worth it. Anyway, most of the items I bought happened to be on sale, so that was a happy surprise. Go, go, go. read more

Ah, the lululemon groove pants. I never gave much credence to the "new workout clothes will help you workout harder" theory, but then, I hadn't tried the groove pants before. Snug, looks fantastic, and just the perfect mix of warm yet ventilat-ty. Their shirts are fun too- they have doodads all over for a myriad of "they thought of that?!" moments, such as ipod holders (quite biased towards the old nano- my shuffle fits in nicely, though), key holders, thumb holes, and slimming seams. There's one problem, though, and I think it's because their computer system isn't quite complete yet- they're pretty helpless when it comes to finding your sizes or checking on a hemming. Little things I'm used to from other shops, such as checking sizes in other stores, looking online for different styles, and asking if a hemming is done can't be done here. Some of the salespeople are indifferent; others try and can't get anywhere. So I caution you- what you see in the shop is what you get, with no recourse for "but I want it in..." that you have elsewhere. read more

I came to Lululemon one afternoon as I was just browsing Union St. shops. I realized how popular it was by the amount of people in the store and trying athletic wear on in the dressing rooms but was pleasantly surprised by how attentive the sales people were. The store is divided into different parts. When walking in the right side is the men's clothing and cash register and the left (and larger part) of the store is the women's clothing, and dressing rooms. The back part of the store next to the dressing rooms is set up in an an interesting manner: all the pant types are broken down with an example on a mannequin on the cabinet with different sized an colors in arranged cubes. I ended up working with a couple different sales people and finding the perfect pair of pants and picking up another as a gift. The pants are thicker but not heavier or making me feel hotter in temperature- the quality feels much better than most pants I've tried or worn, so the price I paid seems expensive but worth it. read more

I love this store. I bought a pair of pants here awhile ago and they quickly became my favorite pants to work out in. I recently stopped in to buy more and was reminded what a great store this is. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and they have FREE hemming. How awesome is that? As a vertically challenged person, the free hemming is a godsend. The clothes are a little pricey but wear a pair once or twice and you'll quickly become a convert. They're totally worth the price -- they fit great and they look great. But if it's a little out of your price range, they also have a fairly extensive sale rack. I usually buy my stuff on sale and you can still get the free hemming. read more

Um, there is NOTHING about this store I don't love. I haven't been to the Grant St. location, but have shopped at the Newport Beach store, as well as Manhattan UWS, and this one just has a special place in my heart those others will never have... The staff is always friendly. They do the whole greet you at the door thing that you experience at, say, The Gap...but it's not overly aggressive and stalkerish to the point that you are hiding from the salespeople (yes, Gap Body on Chestnut - I'm talking about you). And they really do know their products and can clearly explain the differences in the fabrics, fits and purposes of their wearables (in case you're still not sure what you're getting into when you read their very helpful clothing tag descriptions). Honestly, I shouldn't be allowed in the store because I find something to spend money on every single time I am there. And it's pretty embarassing that just about every time I go, I am already outfitted like one of their mannequins. I haven't taken advantage of any of their community classes, but I think it's great they are bringing yoga and related exercise to the masses. You can tell the people who work there are passionate about this and the whole Lulu mantra (I won't bore you with it here - check out their website some time), which makes it a little bit easier to drop $90 on a pair of workout pants. And hey, you never know when they're going to have some special treats in store for you. Yesterday, they had hot apple cider, a face painter, and a girl dancing in a display window (who, sadly, had to put up with drunken Union Street holiday party-goers as she rose up on pointe).
