Lululemon told me there was nothing they could do for me and couldn't even confirm the details of the transaction. Great Selection, Strange Checkout Experience I'm a big Lululemon fan and own a ton of their stuff. The store itself had a great selection, and all the staff were super friendly and helpful... except for my experience at the register. The old woman who checked me out made me feel really uncomfortable. She kept questioning my choices, asking if I was "sure" about the length of the leggings saying "wow you must be very tall" (after I had just tried them on!). She also kept asking if I was sure that I knew how to wash them. I just quickly answered her questions because I was trying to get out of the store, but it felt like I was standing there uncomfortably for so long. The worst part was when she seemed to be scrutinizing me and made a comment about the clothes not liking "too much friction." It felt like a dig at my body, specifically my thighs, which I'm already self-conscious about. I swear I caught her looking This happened a little while ago, so I'm not sure if she's still working there, but if she is, it could be a problem for other customers. I am a fan of their pants. While they are not cheap by any means, they are durable and last a long time in my experience. I also wear them to work (in the comfort of my home office) and find them to be some of the most comfortable lounge wear. They do not typically have sizes or colors of what I want in store so I end up having to order myself online. However, I will occasionally stop by the brick and mortar to try on a particular style if I am not sure between sizes, etc. The staff at this location is pleasant and friendlier than at Santa Barbara. I am not a big fan of the cramped layout and lack of inventory but otherwise this Lulus is as good as the next. read more

I visited this store on a Sunday afternoon before going to dinner. The staff are very friendly and helpful if you need it, but I wasn't looking for anything in particular. I find the store to be pretty small and I think the selection is a bit limited compared to online. The sale rack is also very small, so there isn't much to choose from there either. I love lulemon gear and it's almost all I wear. The quality can't be beat. But the service SUCKED. No one helped us and after someone let my husband into the fitting room she left to speak to a bunch of her friends, some college kids. Let's be honest-college kids aren't buying anything there (at least not with their own money). I had to get another size for my husband by myself, and had to then wait awhile before I got myself a fitting room. When we went to checkout a woman was finally in the fitting room and I think she thought I was being rude when I handed her my pants and all I said was, "I don't want this" because she laughed. Honestly I just didn't think she deserved my time or respect. The people here are not helpful. All I saw was a bunch of kids talking to other kids. Who probably weren't buying anything. read more

Review # 500 WOW! Yoga wear gone somewhat mad. Only in this strange Universe can you have a place with such a weird name but with a more pedestrian purpose. Since I am kind of slow & chubby, it too me far too long to figure out why I could see an empty floor when they were closed. My honey exclaimed that," hey honey dummy", it is for their Yoga classes. I kindly told my Honey that with more insults like that I may have to return the nice Lavender Tote that I bought for her here. I did wander in one time, on the way to a now defunct nearby restaurant...and shocking found some nice X-mas presents way after the fact. Since it was early for Chinese New Year, all is still Kosher. When I was here, I jokingly asked two questions: 1) do they have stuff for chubby old men? 2) do they have 100% cotton stuff? It was kind of a "yes" on both...but I would look like a ridiculous blimp in skin tight Yoga pants. I think think this company's stock also does pretty well & now I see the attraction for younger generations. Their stuff kinds of reminds me of bargain Armani stuff...but with less cotton. Their prices are kind of high, but again, it is stylish. I bought a limited edition Tote & some cool gloves that have capacitance finger tips for the Honey. They are right across the street from some good Italian eats & right next to door to a cute gourmet Deli. Williams-Sonoma is yet another nearby attraction & great excuse to window shop here. read more

I stopped by on the way home from the coast and had never felt more discriminated against by the staff. The lady that "helped" is was extremely rude and me feel so small. I recently started working out again so I decided to invest in some nice quality clothing. Of course like everything else- it's trial and error so when ordering online I've had to exchange most of the items in store for either bigger or smaller sizes. Yesterday I walked in to exchange 7 align tanks because they were to small in the bust area for 1 size bigger. The gentleman that helped me at first was wonderful. I gave him my bag and set off to go find the sizes I needed. When it came down to the actual exchange an older lady helped me. She seemed beyond annoyed. She kept saying the items were not in my profile when clearly they were. At one point an align top I tried on had deodorant residue from trying it on. Which is what I told her and her response was "it looks like more than just deodorant". Yes- lady I wore this too at the gym with the tags on. I had only purchased it a few days before. Thank god she had to clock out and another gentleman came over to finish helping me. He made the experience so much better!! He didn't make it a big deal about anything and I was on my merry way. And all the receipts were magically on file when he took over. The older lady who helped me made the experience so nasty! And based on that I wouldn't come back. I wouldn't spend another 500-600 dollars somewhere I don't feel comfortable for fear I'll be shamed for returning it or exchanging it. read more

Guys, you've doubtless noticed that some of the hottest babes at your gym seem to live in Lululemon gear. It's not just because it makes them look great - the merchandise here is exceptionally well made, and surprising comfortable. I got a Lululemon T-shirt for Christmas last year, and since then I've bought four more - they feel great, and fit even better :-) Now, let's talk about their workout shorts and sweats. If you're like me, you're probably not thrilled at the notion of buying a pair of yoga shorts for a hundred bucks, but you should give it some serious thought. I got a pair as another gift, and even though I don't do yoga, they're the most comfortable pair of workout shorts I've ever owned. Who woulda thunk it? ;-) Bottom line: You often get what you pay for, and the merchandise for sale here is about as pricey as it gets, but if you try some I suspect you'll become a fellow convert. read more

So my girlfriend loves Lululemon and when I told her we had one in SLO it was obvious we needed to go. While the athe-leisure trend continues to rise I know she uses almost all of her Lululemon stuff for daily working out. She swears it's some of the most versatile, longest-lasting, comfortable workout clothing period. So fo course I was curious to go with her. The employees here are super nice and really willing to help. They are also super good about just letting you browse. They have a clearance rack cleverly disguised as a normal rack without any real fanfare. By discount, I should say that the items here were around 15% cheaper, so maybe $85 instead of $100 haha so still not 'cheap', but you get what you pay for. They actually have a mens section and so I picked up a pair of boxer briefs to try and boy were they super comfy or what! Nice well kept dressing room areas, and there's always someone folding clothes back there. Water fountains, bathrooms, it's a cozy store and while it's not the biggest, they have a good selection! I didn't know what to expect but I think this is a really well kept store and will come back for gifts or shopping again in the future. read more

I went into this store for the first time yesterday with my cousin (male) who was raving about the great quality of their clothes. I had been wanting to invest in some great quality pants since I started up pilates a couple of months ago, and I was ready to buy a couple of pants and tops from here. I am not usually one to feel discriminated against, but I definitely was made to feel that way yesterday. The young lady walking around the front asked two different white women standing near me if they needed help, and when they said no, she didn't ask me, even though she looked over at me, she just straightened some items on the rack and turned around. I still went around the store and picked up a few things to try on. When I walked to the dressing area, she saw me again and walked right past. I waited patiently until she was going to walk by again and I stopped her, asking if I could try on these items I had in my arms and her response was "I don't think there's any dressing rooms open." The first dressing room door next to me was clearly open, so I pointed to it and said, "I think that ones open," and she just acted surprised, saying "oh, ok, hold on." I then asked her if she could please bring me a pair of leggings in the cubbies in my size in the burgundy color. She said "yea, no problem." She never came back, even though those legging were literally five steps across from my dressing room. After trying on the last item I had, I stepped out, and another lady who noticed me while helping someone else, sent a guy to help me, I mentioned I had asked for those leggings earlier and she failed to bring them. He kindly apologized and brought them over. I also asked him if he could check on another legging size for me and he didn't come back. I ended up leaving everything and walking out disappointed and empty handed. I was truly bummed out that this was my experience with Lululemon. I may be Hispanic but I had money to spend. I am a huge fan of Lululemon. I have been a long time fan. I still wear to this day pants that I got over 8 years ago and probably wear and wash them once a week. They really do last and hold up for the long haul, which makes them even more worth the price! I haven't been in a Lululemon store in a long time, so while visiting SLO I thought I would check it out. I will say this is probably the smallest Lululemon I have been in but that doesn't necessarily mean a bad thing. Think about it as... if you love a lot in the store then you are bound to love a lot more when you check out their full line on their website! The store is laid out nicely. Women on the left and men on the right. All the pants are lined up on the back wall by the changing rooms. It is open, light, and clean. The employees were ready to help and provided great conversation too! I will say that the sale items are hard to spot but definitely worth checking out. I always love finding a good deal on the sale rack. The trick is you just have to keep checking back often as the items rotate pretty quickly. PS I even got my boyfriend to try their underwear ;-) So yes, there truly is something for everyone! read more

The clothes are awesome until the thin fabrics leave you with a hole during a yoga class. I was fitted for the correct size, so that wasn't the issue. I currently have two pairs of pants and one jacket that I can no longer wear in public, and lulu said they would not be able to fix the fabric or replace the clothing because the rip was not on the seam. I made the investment of buying expensive yoga pants in the hopes they would last me a long time, however my most recent pair only lasted me four months. read more

Go to another location. They don't honor the "lifetime lululemon quality guarantee". Staff is nice, but they will defer you to speak to corporate, who of course handles any issues with product quality. It is a little bit more labor intensive this way, when the store could easily solve and honor the same problem. Such a bummer.
