They don't have just your usual bland glasses, there are a great variety of new stylish choices. Some glasses for more bold fashion (see photo) and others for hardy work wear. RJ has a knowledgeable staff and works with multiple insurance needs. We often replace lens, get sunglasses and buy new glasses for what you might spend for one pair in other places. The main thing here is RJ cares about his customers and it seems in today's culture, customer service and nice people are few and far between. Have a great experience when you go get glasses. RJ, the owner, reminded me, " Don't use your t-shirt to clean your lenses" RJ was kind enough to reorder my scratched lenses for free with no hassle, such great service! The store is always clean and I'm greeted with a warm smile. I can simply hand them my prescription and know things will be handled in a week or so, but usually a few days later I'll get the call to come pick up my glasses. For my newest pair ( clear frames) I really wanted a specific frame, they worked with me until I was happy. They offered to order whatever frames I wanted even if they weren't in the store. The quality is so much richer than my big box store where I will " Not Go." RJ and staff are amazing and will truly go out of their way to make sure we're happy. Debonair Eyes is truly A++

Without the lens, she could not see. This became a crisis and threatened to ruin the visit completely. The next day was a rainy Christmas Eve. Many optical outlets were closed for the holidays. Desperate, we went to the few that opened (but would close early), in hope of obtaining emergency contact lens that would fit her prescription. Our hope dimmed after several unsuccessful attempts. Fortunately, Michael's Optics in San Luis Obispo was open, and welcoming. Even though they did not have the lens on hand, the staff went out of their way to call nearby optics outlets to inquire on our behalf. It was not looking good. But, incredibly, an outlet that they called actually responded with a 'yes', and we were able to promply pick up the much needed lens, with the correct prescription. This was*indeed a Christmas miracle. I can't thank enough the staff at Michael's Optical San Luis Obispo. They gave us valuable assistance even though they were only hours from closing for Christmas. They made no revenue from us, but they certainly saved Christmas for us. This review is written as a heart-felt thank you to the wonderful staff on duty that day. May they have a happy New Year!

I was inaccurately told services weren't covered by insurance. Also, they stated not knowing the compound pharmacy information my prescription order went to or how to retrieve the medication, and then acted as if it was an inconvenience for them to find out from the doctor. They didn't know which doctor completes specific tasks such as contact lens training, so we were incorrectly scheduled with a doctor who doesn't do the training and had to reschedule much later. I asked for a school note which wasn't provided, so I had to ask again about an hour later. They also handed my young son his new eye glasses in the case and never offered to make sure they even fit him. Who does that?! Nevermind that we were never greeted while at least two staff members weren't even helping other customers, there were so many more specific examples demonstrating their level of incompetence and poor customer service. Again, save your time and patience by going elsewhere.
