Really like the clothing selection and affordable tags, but the fitting rooms were obviously being ignored (dirty and tons of clothes everywhere), and the girl who rang me up was really kind of rude. I know we're all underpaid, stressed, and anti-corporations these days, but you can say more than my price total (at least ask if people found everything okay...). I felt like I was inconveniencing them just by being there buying things...which is super awkward. read more

Love their clothes however, I was never approached in the store that had at least 6 people working downstairs. The dressing rooms were disgusting! Great location in downtown San Luis. I often stop by, but have only purchased children's clothing here. And that was some very outrageous sequined gift items. The palette this time was much calmer, and it is helpful the way they arrange the sets of clothing together. They actually also seem to have some clothing with a more generous cut, as most things I have tried there are too short for me. I get lots of accessories at the Monterey store, that I did not see represented here. Maybe the DNA of the merchandise will improve, but it seemed aimed at a demographic that doesn't exist in San Luis. read more

I would give five stars if they treated their employees, and by extension their customers better. It is SO HOT in there that today that the employee helping me literally had sweat drip off of their nose and it was no later than 11:30am on a cool day. They also keep the music set to a certain volume that is usually way too loud. A hot, loud store with employees dripping sweat does not make me want to stay there and find more things to spend money on, which I definitely would do in a comfortable environment. I was so hot that I just wanted air...so I stopped shopping. H&M you're a massive corporation and can afford to have an a\c system that is capable of cooling the store. read more

I stopped in to this location to check out their business wear section but was pretty disappointed in the limited selection as compared to other locations. I later stumbled onto many button ups and blouses in a different discount section but the sizes were mismatched and the clothing was packed so tightly, it was nearly impossible to look at the pieces. It would've made more sense to have these tops nearby the suits if you ask me. I also noted that the fitting room was particularly dirty with dust bunnies lining the floor. This location could definitely benefit from a better layout and organization. read more

love this place but my sister and I recently came here and there was about 5/6 workers in the store and were all just reorganizing clothes with no one at the cash register. My sister and I waited up front for about 10 minutes before someone finally came over and helped us out. I understand, I work retail as well, but it felt like we were being ignored because almost all the workers saw us all the workers and still waited before coming over. Maybe they were doing rock paper scissors to figure out who should be cashier. P.S the only reason why I'm writing this review is because earlier in our visit there was no one at the register and this other women hoped in the line with no one worker at the register and then someone zoomed very quickly to help her out :/ so overall just felt like we were very intentionally ignored. read more

I have had some luck with a couple dresses, and got them for a good price. But the shirts always seem to lay right or the pants never look very flattering. It's probably just my body type I guess. Went shopping with a friend and her 3 year old and that day we paid and they had run out of bags so we were going to walk out of their stuff hauling clothes in our arms since we of course forgot our shopping bags. Ro saved the day because we were walking upstairs, paid for a last minute item and he was a hero giving us 2 big bags to put all of our stuff in so we didnt have to walk outside dropping things we bought running after a curly haired 3 year old haha. I came in to return some items I had gotten as gifts and the extremely rude associate REYA was helping a young girl in line before me and she chuckled and said "that will be $1.08"....WTF. She should not be laughing at children learning to shop with their own money. When REYA was helping me I said I had a few items to exchange and she said "You mean return?" in the rudest f*cking voice. Those were the only words she used with me during the entire transaction. She handed me a store credit card and then turned around and started doing other things. Didn't offer a receipt or say have a good day-left me pondering if the transaction was complete. Worst H&M experience EVER! I came in super last minute today and luckily was given 5 minutes to look around and check out. I picked the dress I wanted within minutes and was walking to the register when the associate said they closed out the cash drawer and I couldn't purchase the dress.. not apologetic, no nothing at all but come back tomorrow! I'm indifferent about this location. The staff was nice and helpful but they didn't have what I wanted. I went in for something warm for my legs so maybe some warmers or thick tights of some sort. I wasn't expecting to find nothing here. H&M is usually the only place I can find clothes that fit me. I'm fairly petite so usual clothing stores have clothes that are much too big for me. I usually leave with at least one or two items every time I enter. It was a very very cold night around 49 degrees so there wasn't very much foot traffic. It was really slow in there. So I walked out with nothing this time. Hopefully next time, they may have a wider range of warm gear especially in a cold location. I was just traveling through this city to head to my destination a few hours away so I probably won't be back here but I do have faith in other H&M locations to have what I need. read more

OMG..... Where to start? While their website says they open at 11:00am, the store was not opened until 11:09. No greeting. No explanation. Gathered up some clothes in the women's department. No employee even acknowledged that I was there. Put the clothes in a dressing room and closed the curtains so I could go find a restroom. Out of luck -- seems they have no restrooms. Rather, they send you over to a swank hotel across the way to use their facilities. ("They don't mind?" I asked. "Not at all," the employee snarled.). After returning from my lengthly excursion, the clothes were gone. No one knew where. Poof! Just vanished. So I spent the extra time gathering them up again. When I brought my purchases to the register, I asked the clerk if it bothered her to walk all that way for her bathroom break. "Oh no," she responded, "there's a restroom for us here." So much for customer service. Then she rang me up and silently handed me my bag while she played with her cellphone. Never again. Who is this place NOT managed by??? read more

The pricing in the store was very good with most clothes being under twenty dollars. The bland color palette however turned my girlfriend off most of the clothes there. The shirts she did want though were cropped so high that the shirt barely covered her lady lumps. The only thing that saved this store from a two star was the excellent prices and cool socks. I found a lot of cute clothes and the dressing room attendant was so helpful! Even though he looked busy, he put his tasks aside to get me the other sizes I needed. Here's a tip: bring in a few items of clothing to donate and you'll get 15% off your purchase! Apparently, they use recycles clothing to make new items which is really cool. read more

This store has a very unwelcoming vibe to it. As a matter of fact, it's seems as if customer service does not fall within its values. Do not expect to be greeted or approached during your shopping experience. The young lady in the dressing room carried a VERY DRY tone and personality when interacting with me. The cashier also appeared to be unsociable and displeased by having to attend me. The cashier purposely overcharged me for a sales item I purchased and did not bother to make changes. So excited to go to the new store in SLO. Went in and got the sweater I wanted at a good price. Everything was going good until I got to the cashier. She SA#825990 (girl with the dark hair)was extra rude and snotty. No "Hi" or any kind of greeting-for some reason she was irritated that I had a coupon. Buyers beware! I came into the store for kids clothing and some of the sizes sold out that's ok associate didn't offer to place an online order. Ok. I used the app to order. Well lo and behold most items that I wanted were discounted half price but full price in store! Check the online prices first before you buy at least half the kids clothing was 50% off and when I asked they did not price adjust for me. My husband and I are not from the area and stopped in to do some last minute shopping for our son. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Prices by signage on the racks that clothes hang on are misleading. When we questioned the price on a couple of items that should have been the price on the signage (item was the exact same description as signage) we were laughed at by this completely rude employee! This tall skinny girl with dark hair was the rudest person ever. She wasn't even our cashier. She came up on the conversation we were having with our cashier and her response, as she butted in, was "That's why there's price tags!" She later came back and laughed in our face. We spoke to the male manager on duty and he didn't seem to care much either. I have never had such a horrible experience at ANY retail store in the area. Just had the worst experience. My friend and I arrived there around 8:30 we were shopping at the lower section and made our way to the second floor while we were up there there was an employee walking right by us, two minutes later we walked to the lower area to check out only to be rudely told by a redhead young girl employee that they were closed, I was super confused since we saw an employee up there with us and he did not let us know they were closed "8 minutes ago " . We were unaware of the closing time . So we asked if we were still able to checkout and her response was "no the registers are closed . We yelled many times that we were closed " which we clearly did not hear since we were on the second floor . Super unprofessional attitude ! They did not even bother checking if there were anymore more customers shopping. They're way of telling customers they're closed is by yelling around the lower side of the store that they're closed according to her . Drove 45 min to come shop here and walked out empty handed .
