Funny fact--I always passed by this place because I thought it was a dog café. My colleague came into the office and raved about their amazing coffee and how they support Palestine and locals in the area, which was a huge plus! I looked at her puzzled like, "Huh? It's not for dogs?" Say no more! I was greeted by a pleasant ambiance & Ms. LuLu herself (6 years young), the mom and family of the owner. Amazing hospitality--which we all know is rare in DC! They made me feel like I was part of the fam. The coffee is a solid 10/10, but the matcha could use a little more TLC. And the banana chocolate chip loaf? Honey, thank me later! I initially came here thinking it's a dog cafe, but was surprised to see the true vibes of the cafe when I went indoors. It's very cute to see the decorations and the tables arranged. I went ahead and ordered a mango matcha smoothie since it's an item I haven't seen offered at other dc cafes. I totally would recommend it as I could see the ingredients blended and it was enough for me to be satisfied at the end of my visit. Furthermore, the cashier was super nice and really made sure I enjoyed my drink. Overall, I would recommend folks to check this place out. On top of offering samples of their baked goods, I would try one of their food items

Came here for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. The inside of the place is super cute, a lot of artwork and apparently they have an outdoor patio too. I ordered the chicken musakhan and spinach fattayer, and a mango and banana smoothie. It came out to $12 which is a pretty good price. The chicken musakhan and spinach fattayer were both delicious- I would definitely come back for those.

Very cute, very affordable, super nice barista. Did not try the pastries but they looked fresh and yummy! They also offered avocado toast. Lavender white chocolate latte is worth a try but a bit too sweet for me (although I never get sweet drinks, so I'm not sure how it would compare to other coffee shops). Would return to try a regular coffee or the matcha for sure! They have dog treats too!

Writing a review to express my immense gratitude to the staff in this store…read more I was idling my car (SUV AWD) in the alley way across the street, right by the Ukrainian Embassy. Totally inexperienced with ice and snow, I thought it would be ok. Ended up getting stuck there - tried hacking at the ice under the tires to get some traction for 30 minutes but still couldn't make it up the hill. Google search said putting some sand / salt / cat litter under the tires could help and I walked into Amorino hoping to get some salt and try that. The 2 staff who were in there were glad to help, I got about 4 cups of salt from them and spread it under the front tires, and was finally freed from my predicament. THANK YOU so much! Definitely will come back and get gelato with my friends when it gets warm.

It's kind of on the edge of the stretch, not the highest foot traffic area, but definitely one of the worst car traffic spots. They have a set of ordering kiosks, and will call you out when they're ready for your order, including the selection of flavors. I got a crepe with gelato; although it said two flavors were included they offered me three small scoops for some reason, which still wasn't a ton. Honestly just getting the basic gelato in a cone with or without a chocolate or a macaron is better. The location has two floors, and you won't hear the honking so much upstairs. Service left something to be desired; I don't begrudge anyone who works for a living but it was not as high-caliber of an experience as I've had at other Amorinos. It also matters that this isn't the best ice cream in DC or even in Georgetown, and we have local gelato as well.

I was able to adjust the sweetness level to 70%, but the ice level was fixed. It tasted fresh and the fizziness was perfect to cool off on a warm day! It is located downstairs so it may not be accessible for everyone. Otherwise, the interior is nicely decorated and there are a few tables that tends to get filled up quickly. Unfortunately no one said help as I came in because they were on their laptops. I went straight over to the kiosk where I decided to order a (L) lychee green tea. When I went to check out it was $10. I was definitely not expecting to spend that much but because it was so hot I thought today was the day to splurge. I will say that my drink was made pretty quickly but when I went in for the first sip the drink wasn't all the way mixed so all I tasted was green tea and it was kind of warm. Overall I'm not sure that I'll be coming back due to the prices and the lack of customer service. Other than here this chain is typically really good.

I love their healthy smoothies too, but there's something about their special smoothie bowls with the Nutella that make me feel I'm eating a "healthy dessert." The only setback is that sometimes it seems they're a bit understaffed and the wait time can be pretty long. Outside of that, it's a great location and it has seating inside and outside as well for the warmer days!
