Unbelievable great taste. My girlfriend said it taste like Thai home cooking in Thailand. Fresh tender chicken, cilantro, lime juice flavor with mushrooms. I order the thick noodle dish, that was good. And curry thin noodles. As I said again sensational lunch. My girlfriend and I decided to go to Lulu's since we haven't been there for a long time. We walked in at 7pm and the place was empty and the waiter was cleaning. We ordered a dish to share and appetizer and tea. The rude waiter is asking is that all you are ordering. He proceeded to tell me there is $10 minimum per person for dining. I'm answered I'm sorry I didn't know. He started to give me more hard time and I told him I could go somewhere else but he didn't care. At that point my experience was ruined and decided to cancel the order and walked out. I told him we will never go back, he said "good"!! What a jerk. I never heard a minimum per person to dine in. I'm in food service and it doesn't cost anymore money to have customers dining or carry out when the staff is there except cleaning dishes and wiping the table. But you are going to tip the waiter or waitress so essentially you are kind of paying for it. What a joke! Now I realize restaurants have been stressed with Covid and food cost increasing but there is no reason to treat customers badly. There are many restaurants that are happy to have guests visiting and spending money at there place with no minimum amount to spend! read more

This place has incredible Chinese food but in my opinion the noodles are what separates this place from the other mom & pop chinese or Asian resturaunts in town. I wish they had places that served noodles like this in Phoenix. Only in Las Vegas have I found comparable noodle places. The shrimp wonton noodle soup is absolutely awesome! There dishes like Hunan Chicken have incredible flavor. The prices are very good. I have been eating here since this place opened in I believe 1995. I remember my mom writing me a letter when I was out of town (This was before I had email) and telling me about this incredible new Chinese place that she couldn't wait for me to go to. I loved this little place and our family for a couple of years would eat here weekly. There used to be long waits to sit down every night. When PF Changs opened in Cincinnati in I believe 2001, and then later the Tri-County area began to go through a depression (which it has only gotten worse not better) with the mall now almost Vacant, This restaurant is no longer the super crowded place it was 15 years ago. I think the area it's in going downhill has a lot to do with that along with the more corporate PF Changs opening. Don't let this fool you though, incredible restaurant that is every bit as good as it was in the late 90's when it was packed. My only complaint is that they do not take credit cards. read more

This place was absolutely terrible. The fried wonton had very little pork and could have threw it through drywall. I about shattered my teeth biting in to it. The noodles had little to no flavor at all. Now I know why the portions are so big. That gets them business through word of mouth. I apologize, I normally don't like to write reviews. I saw there were two entries for LuLu's. The other had two reviews as well, but two 4-star rather than two 5-star. Sorry to be the one to take down the average, but I can't say I found LuLu's to be anything more than average. We visited at 2 pm, and it was fairly empty, so maybe things are hopping more when it's more crowded. The food came out fast, but the gyoza were cold. This was disappointing to say the least, though they tasted okay. The noodles I ordered had great flavor and a good variety of veggies. The Hall Fun with pork was pretty standard. All in all, LuLu's was fine, but just fine. Decent prices here are a good way to get a belly full of something warm if you're in the neighborhood. Bring cash though, as there is a hefty surcharge for using a credit card. read more

The pho I tasted was substandard. If someone never had pho before and tried it for the first time here, they would never order it again. The broth tasted like a plain beef base. I could not eat more than one spoonful. The tables were sticky too. read more

The food here is great and fairly cheap. It can be hard to find on the street but its rewarding when you do. The crab rangoon are wonderfully creamy and delicous and the pho I usually get is always good. The menu itself is a diverse mash up of normal americanized chinese, plus vietnamese and thai. First time and last time to this restaurant. Placed an order to go. Employees were very rude when asked what was in certain dishes. We were told to look on a picture on the wall which was not helpful. When order was ready I was looking in the bag to double check the order when an employee asked if everything was okay. I responded, "yes, just double checking".... he rolled his eyes and walked off. Forks were not included in the to go order and the food was overpriced and took a long time. I went to Lulus for the first time at lunch as I recently took a job nearby. I ordered the Shrimp Fried Rice. The service was fast and friendly. However, the dish was so-so. The rice had good flavor, but literally half of the shrimp in my dish were not cleaned properly. I'm not a picky eater in the least, but this is one of those things that's hard to ignore. I want to encourage people to eat and enjoy food rather than to eat just for the sake of eating. Lulu's was recommended by locals, so naturally you eat where the locals eat. I order Spicy Basil Pork noodles, and there wasn't a single piece of fresh basil in the dish. It was slathered in sweet and sour sauce, completely devoid of spicy heat,and wilty green onions. Completely inedible. My friend ordered Pad Thai, and it was a monochromatic dish of over cooked, mushy noodles that was flavorless. I felt so insulated to have to pay for such terrible food. Have been going to LuLus for years, it's the best !!! Have never had any dish I didn't love. I would go just to get the Gyoza appetizer. The Spring Rolls are light and flavorful, not stuffed with cabbage, The hot and sour soup is great, not too spicy. My favorite entree is the N16 with chicken noodle bowl, And the chef special "Triple Crown" has the best brown sauce you Will ever have. My husband loves the Mongolian Beef. I absolutely love this place. I rarely crave certain foods but their pad Thai and spicy basil noodles with beef are so fantastic! I've tried various other dishes and am rarely disappointed (occasionally when trying something new I just didn't like it. The dish was cooked well and others might like it but just not something I would order again). In addition to being insanely delicious it's also fairly cheap! You can eat there for around $8 a person and you get a good amount of food. It's also really awesome to go. If you order something with chicken and rice, they give you separate containers for it all so your fried chicken doesn't get soggy from the sauce. read more

I have eaten at LuLu's many times and was really surprised that the Cashew Chicken I order Wednesday was so disappointing. Lots of celery, but no CHICKEN. Perhaps it would be better if they raised their prices and added CHICKEN to their Cashew Chicken plate. The restaurant is always clean and the people are friendly, but I must say I was disappointed in the absence of CHICKEN in my Cashew Chicken. Visited this restaurant 02/27/16 for lunch with my husband and I - went in and saw a few foreign people eating. Didn't see a waitstaff but a oriental women behind the counter who seem to ignore my husband and I which we are typical americans. Menu was confusing and nobody to help explain whats on the menu.
