The earlier you come the more likely you will get to eat the delicious pastries, but if you come past 11 AM you likely won't find much. Their croissants are always on the menu, but many of their pastries are seasonally available so you have to come back. I haven't tried their sandwiches yet, but those pastries are amazing. The staff here are so nice too! Super tolerant as my indecision took over my brain seeing so many pastries! I think not having anyone behind me helped with that - a rare slow moment - because once the door opened I waved the white flag, asked them to pick me 3 of their favorites and off I went. The only problem with that is I can't recall the names of what I bought. The croissant, easy. The little puffy pastry with big sugar flakes and apricot that was very light? This 85°C Bakery is located in a large plaza that's always busy, especially since it's surrounded by popular food spots and restaurants. Because of that, the area can get pretty packed, but I was still really excited to stop by this location. As soon as you walk in, the space feels very open and spacious. I loved how big it was and how many tables they had available. Most 85°C Bakery locations feel more like a grab-and-go spot, so I appreciated that this one had plenty of seating and room to hang out. They also have touchscreen kiosks where you can order drinks and other items without needing help from a staff member. We walked around and looked at all the bakery items, and I'm always a fan of their almond croissants and protein breads. The chicken Hawaiian bun is one of my favorites, and their sausage bun is also delicious it's clearly a popular item. I also ordered their sea salt coffee. If you download the 85°C Bakery app and it's your first time using it, you get a free sea salt coffee, which was a nice bonus. While the food and drinks were great, the service was unfortunately lacking. One customer was confused about her order, and a staff member rolled her eyes at her. The same staff member also rolled her eyes at me and my family while we were in line. Overall, the staff didn't seem very friendly or welcoming. There wasn't much smiling or engagement, and it felt like everyone was annoyed rather than excited to help. We also noticed staff packaging food with boxes out in the open during our visit. I personally think this is something that should be done in the back or at least behind the register, rather than directly in front of customers. For this visit I got their matcha cafe latte and blueberry scone to dine in since I was waiting on a friend later that day. I didn't notice the ceremonial matcha layer below the matcha cafe latte until I looked closely and removed the coffee sleeve off the cup to take a closer look. The color of the matcha doesn't look ceremonial either but that's because the coffee dulled it, so thankfully everything sat in well. I just didn't wanna stir anything for fear of nullifying the matcha completely in their already strong coffee layer. The blueberry scone is warm with a thick bread layer and small blueberry bits inside and out. It's a mild sweet that matches the slight sweet from the scone outer layer itself. This was a quick yet great experience getting some stuff here! You almost feel like you're in an area that can serve afternoon tea, and you'd be just about right given they have a wide selection of scones that are laid out in front of the counter. Music here isn't too loud either, and you can easily do WFH with the handful of tables inside. Staff were also very helpful explaining the differences between the drinks, both for me and other patrons that came in later.
